Frantic the reason to upgrade your ship to be bigger is because you forgot to put funnel of it or catalitc converter And you might to save that ship or opv ship to put big tanker from stern Or build a oil tanker ship for big Diesel delivery
12:00 What you can do is maybe add an A-frame at the back to not only balance out the design visually (looks very bulky at the front and very empty at the back), but also to add some functionnality as a crane of some sort !
O.o a modded playthrough or build would be really interesting. I've been enjoying the Thales aircraft parts mod. Having all the extra blocks is nice. But they aren't cheap.
I suggest you to equip the ship with a twin Heavy Autocannon turret (that means 2 guns in the turret), that would increase by a lot the Anti Ship Firepower. I'd also suggest to add a couple AA turrets equipped with cameras in the back of the ship (1 per side) to defend from aerial threats

If you want to lower your ship, closer to the water. Ballast tanks would work better than expensive weight blocks.
i would suggests you to make the ramp at the back able to pivot more like a door
