    Please be super-extra-careful. Italy is indeed a beautiful country, if you like buy a villa, why not, but as a foreigner. Italy is one of the worst places to start a business, lots of regulations, huge bureaucracy, ecc... unless you are a big player and are connected with politicians (i.e. left parties). Not a wise place for a Nomad Capitalist, but still one of the best places to visit.

    I read a while ago that Italy was developing a retirement program to entice foreigners to retire to say, Sicily, Sardinia, etc, tax free. The only catch is you are constrained to stay and live in defignated areas, for a certain minimum period per year. I've forgotten the details, but the idea is to boost the local economy of these areas that had been negatively impacted by the mass exodus of their young people in search of better opportunities outside their home towns and cities. I wonder if this is still on.

Be a bit of a mercenary when you're this young, use it to build wealth. My wife is in nursing but she's a climb the corp lad type. Some of these travel nurses make $70-$90 per hr for regular pay and that doesn't include shift differential or OT. The wife's seen many a nurse crack 200k in a year. "Chica" or girl in Portuguese, from Portugal, is: "RAPARIGA." In Brazil "Rapariga" means prostitute. In Portugal a "chick" would be "gata/gatinha" or "garota/garotinha." You could use those words too in Brasil. A hot chick is a "garota gostosa."
      Use the words "menina," or "moça,"

    As a Italian I can say: Don't choice Italy! Italy is a decaying country for several reasons:
    historical bureaucracy, ancient mindset, illegal immigration issues related, corruption, very high taxes compared to returned services, etc... and covid-19 the final blow.
    To build an innovative startup you need an innovative environment (and Italy it's not the case); If do you think an innovative startup will be successfully in Italy, you are totally wrong.

      @Benjamin-qm8sh 3 роки тому

      Yes, this is crucial. Like a lot of europeans I have foregone highly taxed income to accumulate less highly taxed capital gains instead. Wealth taxes and Capital Gains Taxes are more important to me than income taxes. Even after I retire this will continue to be the case, I have no heirs except my wife, and there are no prizes for being the wealthiest corpse in the graveyard. I expect that when I do eventually move to Italy I will be selling those assets to finance life there, but 26% CGT may be the deal breaker.
