I heavily kin Muni, I have a passion for drawing, and I get a little embarrassed when I get complimented. But seeing this video made me realize that I relate to Muni a lot more than I did before. I don’t have BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder), at least I don’t think so, but listening to this analysis makes me think about how I show my emotions. I don’t want to be abandoned, I have an unstable self image, I want to be loved and respected, and I can be VERY impulsive. I’m really glad that I decided to watch to this video. Seeing you analyze Muni in this light makes me smile, I like it when people analyze characters that may have something that could not be canon, but is implied in some way. And I’m happy that you also added your own personal experiences in there as well! It not only made me learn more about Muni, and myself as well, but also people who have BPD.
God this is SUCH a good video. I'll be entirely honest, I saw the title, and as someone with BPD who has Also seen how people WITHOUT BPD have treated BPD headcanons... I was. A little afraid 😭 But after actually watching this in full, I agree with literally every part of it. Your introduction going into your own struggles with BPD really, REALLY hit home for me. Having the whole autism/BPD combo has reshaped my life into a way where I feel like very few genuinely get and understand my experiences, but I won't lie, that intro almost made me cry a little. :') I'm not sure if you've gotten into anything MyGO!!!!! related (I see those bandori posts.) and this has actually made me want to start writing a script about the overlaps between both Soyo AND Sakiko, and how I feel the two of them are like two sides of the same coin when it comes to BPD. Their whole conflict, especially Soyo in particular since we've seen a lot more of her firsthand (meanwhile Sakiko's cryptic ass is making us wait til April until shit'll start to hit the fan 😭), and how it all ties into their BPD-like traits have been things I've thought about non-stop since the MyGO!!!!! anime aired. Genuinely, thank you for putting out such a well thought, well put together and respectful video regarding not only BPD itself, but How and Why certain headcanons can feel more canon than not to those who experience the same things they headcanon their favorites as. It's so nice to see a video like this
Hey that’s my commission in the video! Also, this is a really nice video. As someone who has previously stated to not like Muni’s character (attributed most of it to bad writing), not only did this give me a whole new perspective on Muni’s character, but also BPD in general. Of course I’ve always tried to stay respectful and kind towards people with conditions like that (is condition a good word to use?) but have never understood exactly what they have been going through, this video gave me a good insight into that. As far as I’m aware I don’t have BPD, rather autism, but I found myself relating some of the examples of having outbursts or feeling neglected back to some instances that have happened to me in the past and it helped me understand Muni a lot more as a character. Great video! And thank you for featuring my commission :)

first of all. I don't mean anything negative with this comment. I apologize if it comes off that way, now. my aunt has BPD and I have several disorders. and have been hurt by my aunt used her BPD as a excuse, so even before watching I had a negative bias, and family have said I'm a lot like my aunt, which I hated. but now I'm reading the BPD pages in the DSM 5. and can make connection between me and this character, that I don't hate, I might have BPD. oh also I still have BPD and it still has negative connotations but I don't hate people with it. and I can relate to muni and this video. now I have to figure out what this means. this video was really helpful, for understanding and sympathizing with BPD peoples. I'm now going to look into BPD, I hope everyone has a great day.🙃
Great analysis, I didn’t know much about BPD before watching this video so I feel like I really learned a lot! Have you seen Bandori’s It’s Mygo? I would be curious as to your thoughts on Soyo because I have seen a lot of people say that she also exhibits traits of BPD.
help I havent even played the game but Ive been looking through some of her cardz of the game and I liked her design the most!! now after watching thiz Im pretty sure I kin her (yez I have bpd)
@@wiisuuuuu forgot to clarify! my bad! an fp (favorite person), is someone a person with bpd develops a strong, dependent attachment with. the person with bpd ends up far more emotionally sensitive around them. their fp’s approval + opinions of them are VERY important. the person with bpd can also devalue their fp, even though they also idealize them. it’s really complicated, so i’d recommend reading up some basics on the topic elsewhere!
8 years and our friendship ended, because she constantly outburts on me, everyday, telling me ugly things and never apologising. She contacted my friends to get my number again to "end in better terms"... I really tried to stay forever... And i would've if she just held herself accountable.....
not to be rude but the symptoms you mentioned could be multiple personality disorders, because they could span across the dysregulation. I get that some of the lyrics are heavily specific though(?).
having a headcanon is cool and all but pushing that she does in fact has this disorder doesn't seem right. i'm glad you find her relatable, as do i, but i think its important to make it clear that this is just an opinion and not actual character facts.
@@4tuneof4 this is a super valid concern, but the video already has “in my humble opinion” in the title. i also state in the video that it’s a “headcanon i see a little too much canon evidence for.” that’s meant to just be lighthearted, still a headcanon at the end of the day!!

I'm now going to look into BPD, I hope everyone has a great day.🙃
SOMEONE SEES THE VISION FINALLYYYYY
Shoujo you're a girlboss
BPD MUNI CANON
Great analysis, I didn’t know much about BPD before watching this video so I feel like I really learned a lot! Have you seen Bandori’s It’s Mygo? I would be curious as to your thoughts on Soyo because I have seen a lot of people say that she also exhibits traits of BPD.
As someone with bpd I saw this video and was like "Muni? And bpd? Really?" and halfway through i'm like... damn how did I never notice this
probably cuz I got into D4DJ in middle school when I did not know what bpd was LMFAO
I think she's onto something...
Never played d4dj but here i am
I don’t think I have AHD, but I could really relate to muni
as someone recently diagnosed with bpd and seeing how its affected me my whole life this really makes me wanna get into d4dj
Ah so this is why I relate to her so much lmao
7:16 RIMUNI CANON

damn i think i have bpd
cool video btw
6:56 damn I probably have bld with my autism😂
This is so real...😭😭😭😭😭😭
Also I luvvv the art for this video!!! I wanna commission you soon!!!
I believe you I don’t think you are reaching with this theory
“Selfship art commissions? Maybe I should commission them for me and Tsukasa…”
“Wait. THAT IS TSUKASA?!!??!”
Im still shocked lol
what is a fp? did I miss something or is it in the video
@@wiisuuuuu forgot to clarify! my bad! an fp (favorite person), is someone a person with bpd develops a strong, dependent attachment with. the person with bpd ends up far more emotionally sensitive around them. their fp’s approval + opinions of them are VERY important. the person with bpd can also devalue their fp, even though they also idealize them. it’s really complicated, so i’d recommend reading up some basics on the topic elsewhere!
can you have a favorite person without having bpd? just asking :3
@@Sweetyayyaya11you don’t! it’s common in BPD, but not a criteria (I believe!)
@@wiisuuuuu oh ok!! cause i have a favorite person!! thanks for telling me :DD
motto joudai motto joudai motto joudai!!!!!!!!
you're just like me fr
Oh shit, I think my now ex bsf has BPD....
8 years and our friendship ended, because she constantly outburts on me, everyday, telling me ugly things and never apologising.
She contacted my friends to get my number again to "end in better terms"...
I really tried to stay forever... And i would've if she just held herself accountable.....
yes yes yes i so agree
not to be rude but the symptoms you mentioned could be multiple personality disorders, because they could span across the dysregulation. I get that some of the lyrics are heavily specific though(?).
@@AncestralDestructionPot okie but.. A lot of people think she has bpd and this is from the perspective of someone who has bpd (the creator.)
What subtype of BPD do you think she has? /genq

Where is she from?
@@RookieGoBoom D4DJ!
Ooo.. what is this.. a goofy little gOOber with 10-10 HUUUMORRR..? hrmmm indeed… *subs*
having a headcanon is cool and all but pushing that she does in fact has this disorder doesn't seem right. i'm glad you find her relatable, as do i, but i think its important to make it clear that this is just an opinion and not actual character facts.
@@4tuneof4 this is a super valid concern, but the video already has “in my humble opinion” in the title. i also state in the video that it’s a “headcanon i see a little too much canon evidence for.” that’s meant to just be lighthearted, still a headcanon at the end of the day!!
@@ShoujoISMs ahh okay cool❤
too bad bpd isn't a real thing
