It’s a mecha game where you control a human character that like remote pilots the robot. You have to actually go to the top of buildings and stuff to see the fight so you can control your robot. The human “drama” stuff is also there as like side objectives. It’s a neat idea honestly. The game’s jank as shit though and the acting sucks, but that’s kinda what gives it its charm.
I know basically nothing about this game, I just love these clips I keep getting recommended. Normal ass stuff happens with bad voice acting, then giant robots just jump in out of nowhere like it's an everyday occurrence
I love how the game uses the same happy music for almost every scene, it's so iconic and memeable. I feel like you could put any crazy dialogue over it, and it still wouldn't feel out of place in this game.
How does Ellen manage to pull of a somewhat 6/10 voice acting, only to completely throw it at "Wah!"? The two Takodachi precursors are made for each other.
This game seems like a mecha game, but you don't play with the mechas, you're just trying to live your life, but there's always mecha fights going on, and you just try to get by
Sort of. You okay a character who controls a mech with a giant robot with a remote control from the outside you there are points during a battle where you will need to reposition the character to get a better view or escape danger to the person.
@@_JoeVer Yeah, the lack thereof. The voice lines feel like they exist in entirely different situations/contexts. I feel most untrained people could listen to that and say "No, that doesn't sound right at all. Do it like this". But instead we have what is probably people reading lines off a page in entirely unconnected recording booths with no coordination.
The bad voice acting makes the battle between giant mechs interrupting our protagonists' antics makes Robot Alchemic Drive hilarious. If I have a dime for dogshit acting in PS2 games that aren't Final Fantasy X, this will be one of them.

Can someone explain to me how the protagonist, who supposedly is 17, has been engaged to Ellen in the past? Is there a time skip? How big was it??? Why does he look the same as when he was in high school?
What kind of visual novels have you been playing that are silent? Like 99% of visual novels are voiced (in japanese) and are completely fine. This game's bad english translation and bad english dubbing doesn't showcase anything about visual novels as a whole.
@@REIDAE Ah yeah, *talks to themselves out loud* *Says someone's name randomly* I hope you are going ok... Or the random *ach*, *oh*, *augh*. You've been playing those too much and you think these tropes sound natural. Visual novel dialogues that are dubbed in English can sound good but not when you are dealing with those weird tropes that only work in text, especially if it's a bad localization. There's a reason why in modern vn games characters generally don't say the entire dialogue box word for word. Sometimes to the point of reducing them to few catchphrases. If you like those unnatural texts then fine but naah, 99% of visual novels would not sounds fine with all the weird tropes. Also one of the reasons why things are written differently depending if they will be voiced or not. I literally studied that and have a degree.
you know i used to think this was a rwther low quality shitpost and its just the game being that bad as is but then i noticed alot of intended postioning of the characters when cutscenes trigger or when the game forcefully switches to fixed camera angles for dramatic effect
This game is a lot like baki in the sense that no matter how many clips of it I see, I still have no fucking clue what it's about
Its about Baki getting strong enough to beat his Dad. I can help you there with Baki... Can't help you here with this 😅😂
@KrowleyPineapples777 And this game is about saving earth from aliens by using a mech… apparently, I don’t know how any of this has to do with that…
It's 2am where I am and I'm cracking up, thanks lmao

I played quite a lot of RAD when I was younger. Loved everything about then and still love everything about. RAD is truly a treasure from the heavens.
