In the office I used to work in they had weekly “lunch meetings”. After each meeting I would go to lunch, because that was work, not lunch. Got called into the HR office to discuss. 😂🤣😂🤣. Didn’t change my right to a lunch break and I still did it until I left that company. Needless to say, no one else ever did.
The sad thing is… This happens all the time. And people seem to think HR is such an awesome department. HR doesn’t give a crap about the employees. They only give a crap about saving the company’s bacon. I like these videos. This is how you should be treating people who are trying to take advantage of you and your hours. It’s time to take back rights in the workplace. No more HR.
Amazing that the manager says she’s salaried so that means it doesn’t make sense for her to work more than 8 hours. I was an hourly employee for decades before being hired salaried. Becoming salaried meant I was paid to get the required projects over the finish line on time no matter how many hours it took. Here and there it meant I left early, usually it meant 8ish hours, but often it meant 10 hour days, and although rare even weekends here and there. I thought I’d hate being salaried but I loved it. I felt such pride and ownership in my projects. I advanced in the company. I mentored others. It was the best job I ever had. Was there over 11 years. When you’re salaried you fill in whenever (within reason). You don’t ask someone else to do it because you only want to work your 8 hours. 🤦♀️
I love these vignettes. People need to stand up for themselves in the workplace and show these brain dead middle managers that their perceived power is futile. Good job!!

That's the problem, the person who stands up is the problem worker

Haha the interview. No way she gonna get that job.
By Veronica's own admission, leaving early would help her get home to her dog.
Yea and?

always research the company before the interview. I've had about 5 companies go bankrupt within months. seemingly solid companies. poof.
Why are their eyebrows twitching like crazy? It gives me such anxiety...
