Maybe avesta is right and Airyanem Vaejah is where the language actually originated. Maybe the CHG and Iranian Neolithics living there were already calling themselves aryans. They might have moved to steppe, mixed with EHG, then migrated/invaded back into India, Pakistan and Iran. Just a hypothesis. I'm looking at southern arc paper and the language might have belonged to the CHG.

Hymns and story of rigveda is more ancient than avestan ( even some extant rigveda mentioned proto indo European battle story ,like how Indra Slayed srbinda/ srbenda , and vala ( veles an Slavic god and Serbian ethnicity it was all possible when indo Iranian and balto slavic were one ,at the time of "proto indo European")
Airyanem veijah is later Vedic period ( where it is a actually expanse of Aryans)
Starting from boarderland of Afghanistan and Turkmenistan
Rigveda is far more ancient compared to avesta
Hence rigveda should be primary source of Aryan homeland ( which is Aryan origin from bank of saraswati , Hariyana region)

Their is no migration of Aryan to India Indian even tho airyanem veijah is central topic in avesta , vendidad
Hapt hendu( sapt Sindhu , south east Afghanistan to hariyana)
is also got mentioned as primordial land created by ahura
And deava are blaimed for natural calamities just hence like airyanem veijah ( where deava coused heavy winters )

Steppe ancestory in India could be result of scythian rulers and pre scythians rulers who had origin from steppe
Geneticist find no steppe Kashmir in Kashmir 1300bce ( burial site )
They found steppe ancestory from dead remains in Kashmir only about 200-400ad ( scythians actually conquered kashmir 400ad )
Rupkund -A in uttrakhand ( dead remains skeleton is 800ad ) but he showed no Steppe ancestory but he had r1a highest ( 60 percent)
We have no current evidence of steppe ancestory from main indus region ( evidence of first steppe migrants)
Although sinuali ( Aryan burials site , skeleton showed no Steppe ancestory dating back 2100-1800bce )
So it is mostly steppe ancestory is recent but dominated
(Also Scythian ruled the land of India has highest steppe ancestory in current population)

@@greaterbharat4175 But this steppe ancestry is found highest in Jats and Rors and then after that Brahmins, Bhumihats, Khatris and Kshatriyas. And yes it's higher in Scythian dominated regions. That being said I don't believe in OIT either cause there's zero South Asian hunter gatherer ancestry found anywhere outside of South Tajikistan. Even there the Percentage is lower than 5%. It was most likely Iranian neolithic & caucasian hunter gatherer hybrids without AASI admixture who went to Steppe, while other group went to Iran and India. As per Niraj Rai himself oldest steppe ancestry found in India was 1800-1500 BCE. Although Niraj Rai did lie about Indians not having Neanderthal ancestry cause it was found in almost 50% Indians. IVC people were also West Eurasians like Europeans and Persians.

@rbharat4175 Steppe ancestry is found but the location is outside of modern day India. It however did exist in region of Hindu-kush which is no longer part of India. But geneticists consider it as part of India for study because area of modern day India is too small for the study. If we go by Vedas then many groups that live in India such as Khas, Kamboj, Khatris, and even Jats and Gujjars would not be considered Aryans. Even people living in Himalayan states were considered mleechas after all and you can see the brahmins in those states eat meat unlike the ones who live in plains.
