Sorry to hear that, when I went to school I was bullied and getting my butt kicked by 4 to 5 kids at a time until my 4rd grade. Then after I leaned hand to hand combat with my Special Forces Uncle in the Summer. Then in my 4th grade I started to break arms and busting noses when those older kids tried to hurt me and my friends. It worked out very well, then when I hit JR High and High school and no one wanted to mess with me. I never teased anyone or disrespected other kids, I always protected the bulled. I would only hang out with my small group of close friends. The training I received from my uncle worked well after I served in the military. Back in those days you also had to learn how to prevent from getting stabbed in 7 to 12 grade schools or after school on a daily basis. A number of my School books were Stabbed (Teachers understood, they were always scared of the kids) and I only had a few cuts, but my friends and I survived. (Switch blades were being sold in our school areas)
This man sounds so honest and caring. What a horrible position he is in to know the shooters family and to have family there working at the school. You can see the pain in his eyes.
Some of what he said were news articles he read. He really should stick to only what he knows personally. I'm glad the reporter clarified that later in the interview.
@@yaaharriott Still unclear… not sure if teasing about 18yo’s lisp & clothes was from text messages published or shared directly with this neighbor by the shooter’s classmates.
I was bullied for years, but I had two wonderful parents who gave me the confidence & courage to face those who were hurting me. And taught me how to forgive them as well. Thank God for my parents or I could’ve very easily ended up like this kid.
I can totally relate.... having supportive loving parents can make the world of a difference. People who haven't been bullied probably don't get the damage that can be done and that's why things like this happen.
@@jeny0o0o My parents told me that they believed the main reason some kids bully others, is because there's something about you that makes them jealous of you. At the time I couldn't understand it. But as I got older, I could see that that could be the case.
I was bullied relentlessly, but I never had thoughts of getting a weapon and hurting people. I was strong enough to deal with it, but some people aren't. Be careful who you pick on, never know how they'll react!
In Mexico, getting bullied is something all kids have to learn to deal with. But if they can't, the good thing is that most kids just don't have such easy access to AR15s and all that ammunition. School shootings in Mexico are extremely rare, although they have become commonplace in the US.
@@RishayanPorMexico common place? whats your definition of common place? How many school shootings happen each year? How many have happened in the last 5 years?
@@RishayanPorMexico Yes and Mexico is SO great. Oh btw, what are you doing here, in the USA? I assume you are living in the USA or are you in Mexico? Mexico is crime ridden, poverty stricken, full of corrupt government and officials, even the police are corrupt! Gangs roam the streets and filth is everywhere. I've traveled some and still haven't found a country I'd rather live in than the US. So, stay in Mexico, if you're there, and go back if you're here in our country. Then you will be nice and safe from school shootings! LOL
They're just trying to clarify unclear statements. It's pretty essential to their job and passing on accurate information. This man seems not to have a problem with them.
A former classmate said the gunman was not bullied, that he actually tried bullying others but was dismissed or ignored and this angered him. He also said the gunman tortured animals.
Bullying should always be treated seriously. The harm it can do to a young mind who can’t see around corners, thinks the abuse will never end, and sees no options to release the hurt and anger. I am in NO WAY condoning what he did. But I’m still not seeing school officials punishing bullies who abuse fellow students.
His parents failed him! Alot of us have gotten bullied but your parents need to step in when that happens by lifting you up and if needed take it up with the other kids parents. Or teach you how to defend yourself as well and not care what ppl think about but kids these days have to much access to the internet and do weird out of line shit and it also is not ok. That boy was being weird on purpose by cutting his face and his mom should of stepped in.
I agree with you. I dont live in the USA so ouer schollsystem are different. But here they really dont do enough about bullying. I was hit so bad as a child that I ones threw up in school and bullied every day for years. Sometimes the bullying went into the realm of sexuall harasment. Horribel for a Young girl. I developed anorexia and came close to death by starvation and suicidattemts. We can not own guns in my country, the laws are MUCH stricter then in the USA. But If they were so easy to get a hold of as in the USA I would probebly be dead by suiccide with a gun. And to be honest I dont know if I would have tried to scare or even kill one or more of the bullies then when I was bullied so badly ( between the age of 9 and 14). They made my life a living hell so I was desperet. Guns should NEVER be easy to get a hold of. Your gunlaws makes it so easy for trubbled or sick or evil people to just get a vapon and masacre children. I so hope that your laws Will change to prevent this from happening again. You americans must make a choice live with schoolshootings and as many guns as you like. Or no or almoast no schoolshootings and guns only for hunters and other people who needs them. For me thats not a hard choice… ( Sorry for my spelling, I am dyslectic).
School administration brush bullying under the rug & say "Oh it's just kids, go sit down, get back to work" it's no big deal meanwhile someone's child is getting traumatized year after year. I have been involved with the school system before and have seen this happen.
@@DT-no2uk The guns don't just jump up into their hands & tell them who to fire on. We see the violence in Europe & Asia done without guns & none of it is often too pretty either. People are sometimes inherently sick & cruel with very little thought beyond their own selfishness. You'd think in a modern society we'd have learned by now.
I got bullied for having anxiety in 8th grade, and I was always ignored by my family since they were all toxic towards each other. Even today. I never had any mass shooter thoughts, but definitely had dangerous thoughts of hurting others. I'm all fine now, but we need to support each other cause you don't know when people can be pushed to the limit

The media gives them the attention they seek, so there are more of these. They put his picture up right away, tell his life story, interview his friends and neighbors. That is what he wanted. To send a message to the world that he is important. Then the media makes more $$$$$$.
You can't parent a kid who thinks they allready know everything. According to his Grandma the kid allways wanted to be difficult as kids do. I far to familiar with that kind of attitude. They hit puberty and they think they're big shit. I can't even begin to imagine the stress he put his parents and grandparents through. I bet they are relieved. The grandpa looked so worn out and just done.
It makes me so sad seeing all the comments of people being bullied. I am so sorry to anyone that had to go through that and if you are still healing now, I hope you are happy now.

He was Bullied. Exactly why I took my children out of public schools. There is a big problem in this country with bullying. Our teachers turn a blind eye and some even encourage it. How do you repair the mental damage at such a young age?
@@AFuller2020 how about dicipline or expel the bullies. Bullying can really damage someone, most especially if it starts in puberty stage. As a Psychology student, I was tasked to interview bullied people and let them open up of what's really going in their minds. It's scary! Deep dark thoughts that will give anyone goosebumps. And I thought, many are still strong to hold on and not act out their pain or else there will be a lot of this kind of shooting/killing all over the world. My heart-broke for those I interviewed, 200 of them. I gave them all hugs afterwards and keep in touch with some, in case they need help. "In a world where you can be anything...be kind" 🙏❤️
You should talk more about this in the various videos and threads . I don't know if you do public lectures about this if you've made a video but maybe you should . Famous lines from the Grateful Dead in one of their songs " Whoa oh what I want to know , IS ARE YOU KIND ? "
I can tell you this. We have always been bullied. Difference is that years ago you just fought it out on the playground. Nobody got suspended or had charges brought against them.
That's the problem...I live in an area where if the child gets bullied and defends themselves, both the bully and the victim get suspended and punished. I grew up where it was ok to defend yourself and you wouldn't get punished, but it's not like that anymore. Now, the bullies have more right than the kids that are getting bullied.
I got picked on badly. Clothes weren't " in" but my Ma really tried. I had few/ no friends at that age, pretty emotionally screwed up. NOT ONCE did I EVER think, I'm going to go kill a bunch of small children and their teachers. It's no excuse. My heart goes out for all the victims, bless this kind man.
I use to get bullied a lot in school because I didn't fit in. I know how lonely it can be to not have any friends at a school and get bullied. Luckily I found a couple good friends that looked out for me but sometimes people take it overboard.
Parents have got to step up and talk to your children and let them know bullying is not acceptable. Let them know how people get hurt and they can hurt someone. please this guy did a sinceless act just for bullying every person takes it different..prayers for all the families

Well, now the community has learned _again_ that yes, what other people do and think do affect the lives of others in a big, big way! How sad.
Bullying, taunting… all bad. Back in the day they’d say “sticks and stones might break my bones but words will never harm me”. Peoples feelings and emotions being hurt nowadays can cause toxic results
Because so many people today are soft. Back in the day, things were settled with fists but no one died. Today it’s over the top and people can’t even settle things with the perpetrators it’s the innocent.
Truth is, Words can hurt as much if not more than physical abuse. Human neurobiology is fundamentally social in nature and words have real effects on the well being of peoples minds.

Nope. Whether or not he is in hell, that is God's business, that is not my business. But it is time that God's people start being able to discern evil from good. His actions were EVIL, he took delight in not only murder, but he loved the fear, he loved the fact that these babies were in terror. NO, HE DOES NOT GET TO BE A VICTIM. If God had compassion on him God is all that IS good. But we have to start taking a stand against evil because evil is starting to get stronger.
Bullying has been going on since the beginning of time. And bullying is no excuse for killing innocent little children. Stop making excuses for these freaks of nature. Also we should stop making these kind of people famous because that's all most of them are looking for.

Getting bullied by your peers and your teachers is difficult, and the long term effects of being bullied thoughout your childhood doesn't just heal. Did I say teachers? That's correct. Funny, because his peers, the kids that went to school with the killer went to great length to make it implicitly clear that he was NOT BULLIED, BUT RATHER HE WAS NOT ONLY THE BULLY, HE WAS CRUEL TO ANIMALS AS WELL. They said he would seek kids out at the park and would attempt to bully them, he was mean to kids who attempted to be his friend, and this was the main reason WHY he seemed to have no friends. Interesting information this man has put out. So the suspect wasn't living very long with grandma, he argued with his mom, he was bullied, and there seems that there is more evidence on someone's phone about the bullying part. Yes, of course, he went to the school with the intent to kill. Also, he was cruel to animals which I heard about before from others interviewed. I can see a lot of evidence pointing to him being a sociopath. From this interview, I can say there is still a lot more information to come.
Looking at the interview with the grandfather and the neighbor, it seems the whole entire family have/had problems except for the grandma. Grandpa- can’t be around guns because of his criminal history Mom- is sleeping with many men Sister- is worst than the brother 🙄 😮 if the grandparents can’t even educate their own daughter right, how do you expect them to deal with the grandchildren❓
A classmate of Salvador did an interview saying he was NOT bullied. That infact he would be the one doing the bullying. Bullied or not it still does not whatsoever justify what he did.
I truly think he was bullied, I don’t know if his mom made him a priority or her boyfriends. I also think he manifested his pent up anger into abusing animals and starting fights with others. He probably didn’t know how to socialize with others so he fed his hate with more hate from online groups and videos that encouraged his releasing his anger through violence.
Dude had a stutter/lisp. The guy is straight because he messaged girls. He probably coudnt get a gf and was bullied for his speech. That's probably why "hates the world" and had "anger" issues.

Those kids didn't tease him about his clothes. He was full of rage and hatred. He planned this whole thing. Don't feel sorry for him, he's not a victim.
@@scottbrown5777 My take, The guy was isolated from others, from a troubled if not broken family, humiliated at school, grew crazier and crazier in his isolation, and ended up working at Wendys post-graduation. He probably experienced the kids as the future of the community that turned its back on him and he wanted revenge. I'm not saying that he should be thought of as a victim (seriously fuck him), but there were societal factors playing into him doing this-- namely the breakdown of community, shame-based competition, bullying, and a lack of caring attention from the adults in his life. There is a big reason I think why these kinds of mass murders, especially school murders, were much rarer 50 years ago, and I don't think it can all just be boiled down to there being less guns around.
Real journalism requires clarity. It was very important to determine how exactly the guy knew some things. He kept saying "from the texts", but he never saw the texts, just heard about them, so he is not a reliable source for that information. I was glad to see that one among them was a real journalist.
@@virginiamoss7045 what did he mean by "scratching his face?' I haven't read about this detail. My daughter (only child) started preschool a few months ago and I can not imagine. Getting your kids ready for school, maybe running late or even arguing that morning. Plans for after school or summer break coming in 2 days. They will never forget the last moments they spent with their babies and its gut wrenching to know NOTHING you did as a parent could have prevented this. Oh God I'm getting myself upset. @@jess_jeff7549 Evidently, he cut into each side of his face which left scars. In some types of mental illness, especially clinical depression, patients will cut themselves just to to distract themselves from their mental pain. You'll see a sufferer with angled scar cuts all up and down their arms. In a way, I imagine it's like anger turned inward; they hate themselves. Then, I guess, they seek relief by turning anger outward to the rest of the world. With the right help and medication many can recover. But that costs lots of money that most people just don't have. How much would taxpayers be willing to pay to have all citizens have free access to mental health care in order to avoid these kinds of tragedies? How much would taxpayers pay to have basically free health care in order to avoid all the costs associated with poor health across the nation? Taxpayers are stingy and short-sighted so we have a system that does not work well.
These kids - need to stop bullying other kids. This needs to stop. And kids should worry about their school work and not someone's clothing!!! I think, kids should go back to home schooling - because they don't respect other kids, teachers and staff members. All those innocent lives - GONE ! Stop the bullying - will stop the killings !!!
There's so many shootings and suicides because of bullies. There should be harsher punishments for bullies. I was bullied going through school also and the school didn't do a thing. If you get caught bullying, all you get is detention and it's even worse too because the person who is bullied, is then called a rat and is even ridiculed even more. There should be MMA fighters standing up to bullies pro bono.
Bullying is no excuse for what he did. You don't hurt innocent kids because you had it rough. If anything he should have helped protect other kids going through what he went through.
I saw today an interview on WFAA YT channel with a student at Uvalde H.S. He said he knew the killer well, and that he hadn't been bullied. The student went on to state that the killer had a propensity to get into fights and abuse small animals. Take that for what it's worth, you can probably find the video on YT .

I tend to think some people are just "evil seed", destined to carry out inhumane atrocities. The fault could very well be psychopathology (disease of the brain itself), lack of conscience. Seems it is always a combination of nature versus nurture. This shooter had all the odds stacked against him. Seems everyone in his life somehow failed him and ultimately he failed himself, and innocent victims and society have paid the price.
I understand being bullied I was bullied through out middle school and some of high school but I would never have taken anyone’s life. This is horrible to think that anyone would be so heartless. He was bullied and in return he decided to bully these young kids and the adults. There is no excuse for bullying and no excuse for taking anyone’s life unless they are trying to take yours or a family member. These children had their entire lives ahead of them. These families are traumatized due to his evil. I pray God gives them strength to get through this. I know what it’s like to lose a a child, not to violence but just to lose a child is devastating and it’s something you never recover from.
You can tell the people in the comments that who say "we all have been bullied" have never gotten bullied, lol. Being made fun of a few times happens to everyone, and that IS NOT bullying. Bullying is MUCH worse than being made fun of from time to time, bullying is being made fun of and psychologically tortured EVERYDAY, being pushed, punched, rejected, mistreated by teachers, constantly ridiculed and humiliated in front of others, etc. It's usually 1 or 2 kids per classroom who get bullied, and some more serious than others. I was bullied and I know what it is. It's not "everyone", it was literally only me and when I learned to stand up for myself it was somebody else and I noticed it was only them as well, not "everyone". Stop that "we've all been bullied" bullshit, because no, most people don't get genuinely bullied. Being teased from time to time is not getting bullied. You don't understand what being bullied is like. Probably some of you were either the bullies yourselves or the ones who laughed when someone was getting bullied. This is why this shit doesn't stop, because of people like you. Shame on all of you who say that to downplay the harm bullying causes to society.
People I’ve known that have been bullied, don’t go around wanting to shoot up schools and kill innocent people. I’m tired of people making that excuse cause no matter what happens to you, you should never make other people suffer the way you did or even worse. Especially kill innocent children.
@@vampireskyy2003 You didn't get my point at all. You keep ranting what average people who have never gone through bullying keep ranting. You are not doing a minimal effort to solve the actual problem. What I meant is that not everyone is bullied, it's a very small minority of people who actually get bullied. And of course not all of them go on a killing rampage, but some of them kill themselves, develop issues like BPD or depression, become drug addicts, isolate themselves, turn into aggressive people, become alcoholics, etc, etc. Not everyone is built the same, these shooters already had some sort of mental issue before bullying but bullying was the trigger to make that mental issue much worse and drive them insane. Oh, you think it's just a coincidence almost every school shooter and psychopath that has existed were all bullied or abused in some form? You seriously think that's a coincidence? Because for me it's pretty damn clear that's the root of the issue. I can talk from experience, I got bullied, and I developed very negative personality traits, isolated myself, became aggressive and defensive, lost my charm, lost opportunities, got social anxiety, etc. You have no idea what bullying can do to a person. Even if not everyone becomes a criminal it's still pretty fucked up that people who were happy children have to become suffering adults, just because some dick bags decided to ruin their happiness and future. We need people to understand that and educate their asshole kids to respect other kids. We also need institutions and teachers to stop ignoring them bullying, we need governments to allow teachers to step in and get physically involved if necessary when a child is getting bullied, or have cops in schools to stops these bullies if society thinks it's wrong teachers do it, also parents of children with mental issues who can afford it should pay more attention to their kids and invest on their mental health, and those who can't afford it there should be an option for them to. Raising a kid is not a one man job, it takes many people to raise kids correctly. Hope that makes it clear and you change your view instead of repeating an obsolete basic argument that has never made sense at all, and more importantly has never solved the problem.
@@Papapapapa78 I 100% get what your saying and I can see how bullying can play a factor in people’s actions, but there is still is no excuse for what they did. Like you said, not every person who has been bullied goes on a killing spree, including me who has been bullied. So I see absolutely no excuse. I agree that bullying is a problem and it should be stopped, but I just lose all sympathy for someone who is bullied if they inflict their pain onto others and traumatize them. I don’t care if the guy got bullied because he killed innocent children who had nothing to do with his situation. Those parents can’t get their children back. Its more than just bullying for people who do stuff like that. I agree with some of the parts in your comment tho. This guy didn’t get bullied in school anyway, he bullied other people and killed animals. But whatever was happening at home definitely played a factor
@@vampireskyy2003 That's beyond the point, I agree with you that he's a monster and I don't feel empathy for him either, I'm simply reflecting on the root of the issue. This shooter was a pathological psychopath, add bullying, poverty and abuse and you are creating a monster. Not all psychopaths are murderers, but abused psychopaths usually are. I've read many biographies of serial killers and shooters and most of them have been abused in some way, it can't be just a coincidence. Also, why do you say he bullied other people? Everyone who knew him including his neighbors say he got bullied. Yes, he killed animals, that's a common pattern among serial killers and mass murderers, they tend to attack the defenseless because they are opportunistic cowards. It's also society's fault for not sending his ass to prison for the animal killings. I'm not excusing anything, these monsters can go to hell, I don't feel empathy for them, but my whole point is that society is also at fault for creating these monsters. There's no point in just saying "oh, that serial killer is a piece of shit" and not fixing the core issues that allow them to exist.

I've had those thoughts before. Once when I was in elementary and again in high-school. They need to take this bullying shit serious, remove those people from school. As soon as someone reports bullying. Show evidence and remove them . I still can't take a joke because of all that bullying I had to deal with . I punch now, I don't talk and it's gotten me fired from 3 jobs. Yes I'm sensitive, which will turn me insensitive really quick if you push me far enough.

There was more to it than him being bullied. Lots of people go through bullying and don’t do what he did. Something in that family was broken in a bad way.
Bullying is only an "excuse" when you kill the bully. Otherwise you are the bully.
Nah Biden pushing a bill against 18 year olds shouldn’t purchase guns legally and rifle ban. And it was still in vote I think . Now think 2 18 year olds and it was made clear they where 18 and had assault rifles!! It sounds pretty convenient for the democrats everything that’s happening.

@@scottbrown5777 My take,
The guy was isolated from others, from a troubled if not broken family, humiliated at school, grew crazier and crazier in his isolation, and ended up working at Wendys post-graduation.
The killers fellow student has already publicly stated the killer was the bully, and that he enjoyed intentionally hurting animals.

Someone finally says it
@@Papapapapa78 I 100% get what your saying and I can see how bullying can play a factor in people’s actions, but there is still is no excuse for what they did.
One of the boys friend spoke. The first thing out of his mouth was.. "I want to say he was not bullied, he tried to bully people & it didn't work so he would get mad and go to the park and pick on people, he loved hurting animals".
A grown family friend was interviewed and said.. that the he (shooter) was mad.. because he wasn't didn't graduate, flunk the 12th grade.. that he and his grandma got started arguing about it and he shot he.. the person being interviewed said.. the grandma IMMEDIATELY started screaming.. "HE SHOT ME, HE SHOT ME..
The GRANDMOTHER IS STILL ALIVE, BUT IN CRITICAL CONDITION.
THANK YOU!!! Everyone is just accepting how this man has all this information. Why were children calling him?? Made no sense. Yet the grandparents knew nothing. Then when asked if his life was very difficult “probably”. Umm, what?! He just said it was awful, had all this info, but couldn’t answer that? No. Not buying this. He either was fed some things to say or just did this on his own for attention. Even the reporters weren’t buying this. He kept saying “on the phone”. He never saw anything, he’s gossiping, came out at 5:46
He never spoke directly to anyone and everyone else just goes along with the bullying narrative like sheep.
