46:10 Sri Nisargadatta's teachings were compiled in a book, "I Am That." His teaching was to discover what you are by asking (usually in mediation) if I am some or another concept / label that I think I am. Eventually, by discovering that I am not one thing after another, we reach the experience of nothingness and comprehend "pure awareness' which maps to this discussion that the fundamental source is consciousness. I’m delighted to hear Prof. Hoffman delve into ideas of ego-death, loving kindness, and a single unified consciousness behind sentient experience (it wasn’t clear to me his views on whether or not rocks have a headset). In order to remove the headset and access the “one”, we need to understand what the terms refer to. Neither can be defined in words. But we want to understand, so here is how I believe the headset develops and what is meant by the “one”: At conception, when life begins, consciousness takes on form. During the earliest development and during the first few months of life, perceptions occur in oneness; a newborn has no past, no self to refer to, so perceptions take place in the unified field of consciousness, pure conscious awareness. (Donald Winnicott, English paediatrician and psychoanalyst, best known for his ideas on the true self and false self. The infant does not perceive its surroundings - mother or caregivers - separate from itself, all is one.) Around the age of about two, we begin to experience ourselves as separate beings. Through the acquisition of language we learn to name our perceptions (sights, sounds, feelings, desires, objects, etc.). Very quickly and without any effort a child learns new words; and once it has accumulated a vocabulary, it begins to think, communicate and define the world it lives in. This is how each one, all 8 billion of us, has created their own personal language-based self that is separate from our primary Self or unity consciousness, our natural condition. The personal self is like a headset in which space, time and objects appear as real. Nevertheless, it is a construct of the mind capable of creating a mind-made “virtual reality”. Einstein called the illusion of separateness “the greatest tragedy of human existence”. And he suggested that our task in life must be to free ourselves from this prison. By the way, Einstein didn’t begin to speak until he was four years old.

My conclusion based on what Don is saying about Conscious Realism as being fundamental and "the One" is that "we" (kinda in literal sense here) indeed get a new "avatar" for our "headset" everytime an avatar dies. So "the One" creates all these icons and realm for conciousness to experience infinite different versions of itself thus "we" will NOT experience "the One" as a kind of singular state for eternity otherwise it would have been that way to begin with. It is kind of ironic though because through meditation and sensory depravation we can get the feeling of that oneness ONLY as an avatar peaking into it but it is built in to prevent us from BEING it. The question i have then is what is the order for the "headsets" behind the "new avatars" everytime one dies? Is it truly random because consciousness can do "truly random". Is it based on the avatar being similar before so it will be similar for infinity or change over "time" everytime one avatar dies? Will it be all over again (which from Goedels theory it would not make sense) or will it be based on certain principles? Years ago, my mind had tortured me so much with constant negative thinking and emotion, that I decided I was going to lie down and turn it off. I said to myself, “What if I could stop all thoughts, all emotion and all sensation for just a moment, completely?” I laid there trying and felt I kept getting close, but would have to start over, until I eventually fell asleep. I woke up that night in a panic. Everything was dark, but I could still see the objects in my room, however everything was without label. I saw the fan, but it was just a lableless object - not “fan”. I saw the object that I knew as a tv without the label TV. Everything looked foreign. I started to panic and I had an intense sensation that I was about to die. All of a sudden, a hole began to open in mid air, in my room. It started off as a pinhole of light, and slowly began growing. With the light came a sound, like the humming of a soft motor. The whole event was shocking yet familiar. I knew what was happening. I knew I was dying. I immediately put my pillow over my head and started repeating, “Think, think, think of anything”. And tried to put the label back onto the fan. I tried to conceptualize again. Eventually, the light closed and I fell on my back in my bed with relief. Ive been carrying that story for fifteen years and have only told one person when I was drunk. I’ve always wondered what would have happened if I would have surrendered to the light.
There are sages within deep Buddhist tradition (and probably other esoteric serious spiritual traditions) who can explain what happened to you. Probably not as totally rare as you might think. Preparation and study can probably free this of the dangerous part.

sounds like you were in "I Am" higher awareness 'altered' state. Because it was new to you, it freaked you out. People take years to get here. A Course in Miracles is a daily practise to 'trick' the usual ego mind state of awareness into this altered state where everything is nothing, not laballed and seen as an energetic frequency. Everything shimmers with god force in this state and everything we have learned in our ego state is undone and we see the error perception in all our thoughts. If people have psychosis and are splintered off into a fragment of a self that is lost and separated from the I AM from the trauma - like a shard splintered from the mirror - then awareness of the I AM can bring the splintered trauma shard home as inn that moment of its own awareness - there is healing , as the "I Am" has become the mirror and the illusion of the belief in separation is dissolved and the 'trauma' is healed through connection and awareness of understanding who we truly are: A Soul in a physical body having a physical experience to bring awareness to becoming a consciously connected higher self into this realm (Higher consciousness). The Unified (embodying all parts of us) in total awareness, healing the fragmented selves (gradually) and escaping the belief that we think we are a True Self when in fact we are the ego acting out. Dissolving separation and the need to continue on the path of pain and trauma. As in awareness we no longer make choices based in ego - we are able to navigate through higher consciousness higher self connected to the I Am Awareness that pervades all things. A Course in Miracles calls it Christ Consciousness So does Rudolf Steiner and this is not meant in a religious sense - its is the understanding of the existence of our spirit being (the Christos represents Humanitys Spirit who we truly are - the Christos is Humanity and and Christ consciousness is available to all - as Jesus (Jesus as a human) Unified and transcended his human form when he embodied Christ Consciousness on Earth

Hey Tevin... thanks so much for these conversations. I wonder, if someday, you could have someone like myself on with you and Donald to explore the 'mental health,' side of this equation. I think you made an assumption there at the end when you said that psychosis is disconnection from 'reality,' (or something to that effect). Speaking from expertise, I think it's closer to what Donald said earlier in another context-- which is-- you feel people in 'psychosis,' are speaking or experiencing unconnected or delusional things whereas I would say it's more lack of information and context that makes it seem that way to you, to others. I am referring to around 2.14.04 when you say it seems there's no link, and a person is completely out of touch. The suffering that Donald mentions, was an interesting and enlightened reply (IMO) AND it is ALSO where the shared experiecne still exists and why I am saying that perhaps these 'people,' are not actually completely out of touch with our shared reality experience. On another note, it's really important that you and Donald are NOT psychiatrists, when diving into this inquiry around people who experience perceived mental illness. Your mutual insights are actually more valuable to me than psychiatry.There's more collective intelligence between you and Don speculating on a field you assume you are not expert in than if I actually listened to people you are talking about ceding authority to. You seem to respect Don's work a lot, and look how heretical he is within his very own ranks. I am here to tell you that 90-99% of psychiatrists cannot be trusted and don't really know fundamentally about the Mind just as most of Don's peers are dogmatically attached to physicalism. It's scary for me, to see super intelligent and empathetic people like you and Don conceding that this all should be left to the 'psychiatrists,' and PhDs.. who have the 'real' opinions on these matters. Psychiatry is mainly lost, especially in the physicalism sense of how they approach these perceived mental illnesses. I wonder if the objection to the "head set" notion is a feeling that the value of history, of the import of our existence in space time, is somehow not being properly considered? Planck time being 5.39×10−44 s seems pretty instantaneous, but aren't we conscious only in the present? So the physical universe appears nearly instantaneous after we are conscious, but really we exist outside of the physical universe because we are conscious now, not a single Planck time unit into the past. Very interesting interview. I have few questions and here are only few ones: 1) Don speaks about Markovian dynamics but outside of time. How to have dynamics without time? 2) Don says Quantum Mechanics is doomed but still speaks about Planck constant limit (10-33cm/10-43sec). Don't you think that if QM is doomed then Planck constant is not part of the 'new science' picture anymore? 3) Why mathematics is considered the ultimate tool/language for assessing/describing reality (I am a mathematical physicist by formation so I love math as well..)? And why maths would be superior to natural language (therefore why science/math are better tools than those of ancient cultures to know/discover/explore reality)? It's kinda wild that the video I watched before this one was about out-of-body experiences and the guy went to the Monroe Institute to try to learn techniques to have an OOBE. Then I watched this video that was probably given to me by the algorithm but I didn't realize the connection until Don started talking about taking off the headset and meditation. This is in my opinion exactly what they are trying to help people achieve at the Monroe Int. and of course, people are having them and they have worked out techniques to help you do this. I also think the idea that 10 to the minus 33. Hoffman dismisses this level of resolution as a looking that the universe through a cheap knock off headset. As I understand it the Planck length is 10 to the minus 20 times smaller than the diameter of a proton. A proton is a ‘particle’ so unfeasibly small it can’t be seen using visible light. If the proton was the size of the solar system the Planck length would still be 10 to the minus 9 metered in diameter, that’s a nanometre. About 2.5 times smaller than the width of dna. On what basis does Hoffman think that the Planck length is not super impressively small?

I totally agree with everything you said especially that the consciousness model can't be proven. It has to be experienced individually and intuitively. I believe in consciousness as being the fundamental but wil never even discuss it with anyone. It's my truth and I don't need validation from anyone.

A non-dualistic sort of "hard materialism" is salvageable, you just have to abandon the notion of particles, fields, and linear time (causation). The best model for this I've encountered is Bill Gaede's "Rope Hypothesis". The whole problem with this reality is the "munchausen trilemma". If you ask "why", there are three possible states to end in. 1) Axiomatic. A point of irreducibility is reached. It is because it is. 2) Circular. All logic forms closed loops which create their own basis for being. 3) Infinite. Every why begets yet another with no ability to detect looping. This is why I'm fairly sure this place is constructed to distract us, spur us to come up with ideas, which it then manifests into reality through the mind and senses, to then distract us more. Using numerology and the imagination, near as I can tell, I've basically created people. It reminds me of a lucid dream that decomposed by the buildings I was driving past beginning to loop and become more distorted and simplistic. The same templates I experienced in childhood are continually recreated and returned to me. Example, I became hyperfixated on the number "303". I associated it with two characters, one a red haired German with blue eyes who knew multiple languages, the other a brunette with green eyes who was a biologist. Well, lo and behold a while later my mother becomes friends with this woman, and a while later she needs some work done on her house. Eventually it starts to click... wait a minute. She is German, has red hair, knows 3 or 4 languages, but not blue eyes, green. Then she tells me she used to be a science teacher. What did you teach? Biology. The universe just took the two primary associations and merged them. And her street address? 303. "So when did you put these floors down?" "Oh I don't know. When I was 32, 33, 34." "I'll be back home tomorrow by 3:30" Etc. In retrospect it became fully apparent that wasn't the first time. I encountered an animated show where the main character matched my general phenotype, their name gematria matched mine, and the story essentially mirrored my own life in a highly abstracted form. There was a trinity of three main characters. Male, female, child (as an android). So if I was playing the role of the man, then there had to also be the woman. Sure enough, a woman with comaprable build, long black hair, blue eyes, is working as a cashier at a store I frequent. It was kind of funny actually, there was a sort of invisible funnel n ear the checkout, where all the men seemed to end up in her line. For whatever reason she becomes fixated on me, or perhaps somehow "expectant". I'm waiting in line, feel I'm being watched, turn around and she's just staring at me. Go through her line occasionally, just acts normally. I actually began to avoid her, which I suppose fit the role, and my health was destroyed, and so on, either way. Because Earth is a "maim and drain" torture farm down one of the 3 primary energetic branches, meant to hollow out non-reactives. The other two templates are what I just dub "strong" and "labile". Anyway, I saw her somewhere else later on with a kid, so all the characters were present apparently. These to me are very obvious examples which came from sort of merging or adopting an externally provided script / allegory. I can and have written my own scripts which execute the same way. Ha, also I listened to a song called "Phone Sex" by Grimes repeatedly. A few days later someone called my mother and tried to initiate phone sex. Endless examples. The only explanations are lives being scripted with gradual convergence over years and occasional strong alignments you notice consciously, or something like Indra's Net. Traversing a possibility space where imagination and intention literally brings things into being, rewrites, and rearranges the entire world. This would be "block universe", or Biblically, "nothing is made that was not made, creation is finished". I suspect it's the latter. If I were to think olf a specific concept for a person, within a week I would randomly see them on the street. These are not densely populated areas, people here are counted in thousands not millions, so this phenomena is made far more apparent. If I didn't focus on that person anymore, I'd likely never seen them again. If I did, they'd be incorporated into the story and show up more often. I often have to consider the spectrum of more solipsistic angles. Namely that all of this is made by me, or a few of us who were divided and scattered through space and time to prevent spotaneous recombination, for the purpose of disguising this fact. Since I am unable to stablize the mind, torture predominates. And it teaches nothing ultimately, mind you. It traces out the underlying machinery and adaptive mechanisms used to generate higher behavior, and it reveals something apart from time and space as a basis for the core self, but in the long run it's strictly reductive. There are several barriers and limitations involved with transmuting pain into creation. That doesn't necessarily mean all of this is me either, though I may act as a hidden hand from behind the veil. Even both of you could be "NPCs" or "Archons" trying to deceive me into staying hypnotized by contemplation of my own existence in this false reality.

So just at rhe start of the video, he's saying that the act of observation will always influence in some way the outcome of the measurement taken. I hope he explains, or even knows, in what way we influence it, of course it would likely be different for the different types of measurements and the different types of observers. I don't think there's any way to disporve what he's saying though. I mean you xan never know the value of the unobserved since in order to know what value it has you must observe it in some way. No, it's not dead. The foremost Consciousness-Only teaching, Kashmir Shaivism, rightly acknowledges that Maya as phenomenal reality is real.
In order to remove the headset and access the “one”, we need to understand what the terms refer to. Neither can be defined in words. But we want to understand, so here is how I believe the headset develops and what is meant by the “one”:
At conception, when life begins, consciousness takes on form. During the earliest development and during the first few months of life, perceptions occur in oneness; a newborn has no past, no self to refer to, so perceptions take place in the unified field of consciousness, pure conscious awareness. (Donald Winnicott, English paediatrician and psychoanalyst, best known for his ideas on the true self and false self. The infant does not perceive its surroundings - mother or caregivers - separate from itself, all is one.)
Around the age of about two, we begin to experience ourselves as separate beings. Through the acquisition of language we learn to name our perceptions (sights, sounds, feelings, desires, objects, etc.). Very quickly and without any effort a child learns new words; and once it has accumulated a vocabulary, it begins to think, communicate and define the world it lives in. This is how each one, all 8 billion of us, has created their own personal language-based self that is separate from our primary Self or unity consciousness, our natural condition. The personal self is like a headset in which space, time and objects appear as real. Nevertheless, it is a construct of the mind capable of creating a mind-made “virtual reality”.
Einstein called the illusion of separateness “the greatest tragedy of human existence”. And he suggested that our task in life must be to free ourselves from this prison. By the way, Einstein didn’t begin to speak until he was four years old.

My conclusion based on what Don is saying about Conscious Realism as being fundamental and "the One" is that "we" (kinda in literal sense here) indeed get a new "avatar" for our "headset" everytime an avatar dies. So "the One" creates all these icons and realm for conciousness to experience infinite different versions of itself thus "we" will NOT experience "the One" as a kind of singular state for eternity otherwise it would have been that way to begin with. It is kind of ironic though because through meditation and sensory depravation we can get the feeling of that oneness ONLY as an avatar peaking into it but it is built in to prevent us from BEING it. The question i have then is what is the order for the "headsets" behind the "new avatars" everytime one dies? Is it truly random because consciousness can do "truly random". Is it based on the avatar being similar before so it will be similar for infinity or change over "time" everytime one avatar dies? Years ago, my mind had tortured me so much with constant negative thinking and emotion, that I decided I was going to lie down and turn it off. I said to myself, “What if I could stop all thoughts, all emotion and all sensation for just a moment, completely?” I laid there trying and felt I kept getting close, but would have to start over, until I eventually fell asleep. I woke up that night in a panic. Everything was dark, but I could still see the objects in my room, however everything was without label. I saw the fan, but it was just a lableless object - not “fan”. I saw the object that I knew as a tv without the label TV. Everything looked foreign. I started to panic and I had an intense sensation that I was about to die. All of a sudden, a hole began to open in mid air, in my room. It started off as a pinhole of light, and slowly began growing. With the light came a sound, like the humming of a soft motor. The whole event was shocking yet familiar. I knew what was happening. I knew I was dying. I immediately put my pillow over my head and started repeating, “Think, think, think of anything”. And tried to put the label back onto the fan. I tried to conceptualize again. Eventually, the light closed and I fell on my back in my bed with relief. Ive been carrying that story for fifteen years and have only told one person when I was drunk. I’ve always wondered what would have happened if I would have surrendered to the light.

There are sages within deep Buddhist tradition (and probably other esoteric serious spiritual traditions) who can explain what happened to you. Probably not as totally rare as you might think. Preparation and study can probably free this of the dangerous part.

sounds like you were in "I Am" higher awareness 'altered' state. Because it was new to you, it freaked you out. People take years to get here. A Course in Miracles is a daily practise to 'trick' the usual ego mind state of awareness into this altered state where everything is nothing, not laballed and seen as an energetic frequency. Everything shimmers with god force in this state and everything we have learned in our ego state is undone and we see the error perception in all our thoughts. If people have psychosis and are splintered off into a fragment of a self that is lost and separated from the I AM from the trauma - like a shard splintered from the mirror - then awareness of the I AM can bring the splintered trauma shard home as inn that moment of its own awareness - there is healing , as the "I Am" has become the mirror and the illusion of the belief in separation is dissolved and the 'trauma' is healed through connection and awareness of understanding who we truly are: A Soul in a physical body having a physical experience to bring awareness to becoming a consciously connected higher self into this realm (Higher consciousness). The Unified (embodying all parts of us) in total awareness, healing the fragmented selves (gradually) and escaping the belief that we think we are a True Self when in fact we are the ego acting out. Dissolving separation and the need to continue on the path of pain and trauma. As in awareness we no longer make choices based in ego - we are able to navigate through higher consciousness higher self connected to the I Am Awareness that pervades all things. A Course in Miracles calls it Christ Consciousness So does Rudolf Steiner and this is not meant in a religious sense - its is the understanding of the existence of our spirit being (the Christos represents Humanitys Spirit who we truly are - the Christos is Humanity and and Christ consciousness is available to all - as Jesus (Jesus as a human) Unified and transcended his human form when he embodied Christ Consciousness on Earth

Hey Tevin... thanks so much for these conversations. I wonder, if someday, you could have someone like myself on with you and Donald to explore the 'mental health,' side of this equation. I think you made an assumption there at the end when you said that psychosis is disconnection from 'reality,' (or something to that effect). Speaking from expertise, I think it's closer to what Donald said earlier in another context-- which is-- you feel people in 'psychosis,' are speaking or experiencing unconnected or delusional things whereas I would say it's more lack of information and context that makes it seem that way to you, to others.
I am referring to around 2.14.04 when you say it seems there's no link, and a person is completely out of touch.
The suffering that Donald mentions, was an interesting and enlightened reply (IMO) AND it is ALSO where the shared experiecne still exists and why I am saying that perhaps these 'people,' are not actually completely out of touch with our shared reality experience.
On another note, it's really important that you and Donald are NOT psychiatrists, when diving into this inquiry around people who experience perceived mental illness. Your mutual insights are actually more valuable to me than psychiatry.There's more collective intelligence between you and Don speculating on a field you assume you are not expert in than if I actually listened to people you are talking about ceding authority to.

I wonder if the objection to the "head set" notion is a feeling that the value of history, of the import of our existence in space time, is somehow not being properly considered? I can go with the notion of the headset, with all of its rules and sub-created reality, virtualized by the One (or something like that), but it does seem like it needs to be appreciated on its own terms, afforded the weight that it seems to suggest for some communal purpose, while also expanding the discernment of, and appreciation of, that space-time Transcendent Reality that is beginning to be revealed, and now "imagined", beyond the "head set"? Your theory sounds very similar to the theory that Tom Campbell presents in his book My Big TOE published back in February 2003. Have you read his book or collaborated with him?
Planck time being 5.39×10−44 s seems pretty instantaneous, but aren't we conscious only in the present? So the physical universe appears nearly instantaneous after we are conscious, but really we exist outside of the physical universe because we are conscious now, not a single Planck time unit into the past. Am I understanding this correctly?

Very interesting interview. I have few questions and here are only few ones: 1) Don speaks about Markovian dynamics but outside of time. How to have dynamics without time? 2) Don says Quantum Mechanics is doomed but still speaks about Planck constant limit (10-33cm/10-43sec). Don't you think that if QM is doomed then Planck constant is not part of the 'new science' picture anymore? 3) Why mathematics is considered the ultimate tool/language for assessing/describing reality (I am a mathematical physicist by formation so I love math as well..)? I also think the idea that 10 to the minus 33. Hoffman dismisses this level of resolution as a looking that the universe through a cheap knock off headset. As I understand it the Planck length is 10 to the minus 20 times smaller than the diameter of a proton. A proton is a ‘particle’ so unfeasibly small it can’t be seen using visible light. If the proton was the size of the solar system the Planck length would still be 10 to the minus 9 metered in diameter, that’s a nanometre. About 2.5 times smaller than the width of dna. On what basis does Hoffman think that the Planck length is not super impressively small?

A non-dualistic sort of "hard materialism" is salvageable, you just have to abandon the notion of particles, fields, and linear time (causation). The best model for this I've encountered is Bill Gaede's "Rope Hypothesis".
The whole problem with this reality is the "munchausen trilemma". If you ask "why", there are three possible states to end in.
1) Axiomatic. A point of irreducibility is reached. It is because it is.
2) Circular. All logic forms closed loops which create their own basis for being.
3) Infinite. Every why begets yet another with no ability to detect looping.
This is why I'm fairly sure this place is constructed to distract us, spur us to come up with ideas, which it then manifests into reality through the mind and senses, to then distract us more. Using numerology and the imagination, near as I can tell, I've basically created people. It reminds me of a lucid dream that decomposed by the buildings I was driving past beginning to loop and become more distorted and simplistic. The same templates I experienced in childhood are continually recreated and returned to me. Example, I became hyperfixated on the number "303". I associated it with two characters, one a red haired German with blue eyes who knew multiple languages, the other a brunette with green eyes who was a biologist. Well, lo and behold a while later my mother becomes friends with this woman, and a while later she needs some work done on her house. Eventually it starts to click... wait a minute. She is German, has red hair, knows 3 or 4 languages, but not blue eyes, green. Then she tells me she used to be a science teacher. What did you teach? Biology. The universe just took the two primary associations and merged them. And her street address? 303. "So when did you put these floors down?" "Oh I don't know. When I was 32, 33, 34." "I'll be back home tomorrow by 3:30" Etc.
In retrospect it became fully apparent that wasn't the first time. I encountered an animated show where the main character matched my general phenotype, their name gematria matched mine, and the story essentially mirrored my own life in a highly abstracted form. There was a trinity of three main characters. Male, female, child (as an android). So if I was playing the role of the man, then there had to also be the woman. Sure enough, a woman with comaprable build, long black hair, blue eyes, is working as a cashier at a store I frequent. It was kind of funny actually, there was a sort of invisible funnel n ear the checkout, where all the men seemed to end up in her line. For whatever reason she becomes fixated on me, or perhaps somehow "expectant". I'm waiting in line, feel I'm being watched, turn around and she's just staring at me. Go through her line occasionally, just acts normally. I actually began to avoid her, which I suppose fit the role, and my health was destroyed, and so on, either way. Because Earth is a "maim and drain" torture farm down one of the 3 primary energetic branches, meant to hollow out non-reactives. The other two templates are what I just dub "strong" and "labile". Anyway, I saw her somewhere else later on with a kid, so all the characters were present apparently. These to me are very obvious examples which came from sort of merging or adopting an externally provided script / allegory. I can and have written my own scripts which execute the same way. Ha, also I listened to a song called "Phone Sex" by Grimes repeatedly. A few days later someone called my mother and tried to initiate phone sex. Endless examples.
The only explanations are lives being scripted with gradual convergence over years and occasional strong alignments you notice consciously, or something like Indra's Net. Traversing a possibility space where imagination and intention literally brings things into being, rewrites, and rearranges the entire world. This would be "block universe", or Biblically, "nothing is made that was not made, creation is finished". I suspect it's the latter. If I were to think olf a specific concept for a person, within a week I would randomly see them on the street. These are not densely populated areas, people here are counted in thousands not millions, so this phenomena is made far more apparent. If I didn't focus on that person anymore, I'd likely never seen them again. If I did, they'd be incorporated into the story and show up more often.
I often have to consider the spectrum of more solipsistic angles. Namely that all of this is made by me, or a few of us who were divided and scattered through space and time to prevent spotaneous recombination, for the purpose of disguising this fact. Since I am unable to stablize the mind, torture predominates. And it teaches nothing ultimately, mind you. It traces out the underlying machinery and adaptive mechanisms used to generate higher behavior, and it reveals something apart from time and space as a basis for the core self, but in the long run it's strictly reductive. There are several barriers and limitations involved with transmuting pain into creation. That doesn't necessarily mean all of this is me either, though I may act as a hidden hand from behind the veil. Even both of you could be "NPCs" or "Archons" trying to deceive me into staying hypnotized by contemplation of my own existence in this false reality.

Personally, i think they are threatened not to reveal clear, precise info on all this.... this information is extremely powerful and also highly ethical..... if i was a super evil villian running the show, i wouldnt want anyone knowing! I would at least threaten everyone's lives til the scientists got the science down pack before i let them talk freely about it, so i would be ahead of the competition before everyone found out... i would put safe guards up for even the scientists, themselves, to not really understand what they're researching. Forbid science articles from publishing findings in a direct, clear matter... It has to be word saladed til the message gets lost in the sauce 😂 i would intentionally misinform the public to keep an advantage.

So just at rhe start of the video, he's saying that the act of observation will always influence in some way the outcome of the measurement taken. I hope he explains, or even knows, in what way we influence it, of course it would likely be different for the different types of measurements and the different types of observers. I don't think there's any way to disporve what he's saying though. I mean you xan never know the value of the unobserved since in order to know what value it has you must observe it in some way. That makes me a bit uncomfortable because if it's impossible to disprove something it's also impossible to prove it as well.

As well as not being able to explain any specific qualia materialist theories cannot explain the most important thing. Why do I seem to be a specific, individualized consciousness associated with a specific body while you seem to be a different specific, individualized consciousness associated with another body? Why am I, I and you, you? There were billions of bodies around before this one showed up so what changed that I should find myself to be looking out of the eyeballs of this particular body and no other?
