The final thing Hazard needs to improve imo, his pace and his stamina whilst running with the ball. One difference I've noticed is that Messi touches the ball a lot more than Hazard does when dribbling through just running with the ball, simply because Messi is faster and that is why Messi is able to dribble a lot more than Hazard in central areas as well as being able to position himself better on the pitch, ultimately leading to having more goals scored. no i dont think I agree with that he is a winger through and through he needs to perfect his finishing I don't know how many times iv seen him run thorough all of a defence then flop at the final shot, although this goal is a good example if he perfects that combine his already very good dribbling and improve finishing and get more goals
I agree with you that he should impove his finishing, but I also believe that even if he improves it very much I still believe that that would not take him into the ''next level''. I believe that moments where he flopped and where he could've scored with better finishing were only ever so few and that it wouldn't get him more than maybe 6-7 goals in my opinion, judging from last season, which wouldn't really put him into a much higher level. I've been watching him all season and I haven't seen all too many goalscoring oppurtinities that he created himself and that he could've scored. That being said there were just a couple where I thought a good finish could result in a goal, but only few. The fact that you think that he has A LOT of these moments and I don't is where we disagree. And this is exactly the problem he needs to sort out in my opinion - to get to more goalscoring opportunities. Most of Hazards take ons are completed on the wings cutting in or goind around the box trying to get in a cross. If you compare that to where most of Messi's take ons are being completeld, which is mainly centrally*, Messi is able to do this in my opinion because the ''physical'' rules are more restrictive in la liga than in premier league but mostly imo because Messi is faster and is therefore able to dribble between players running into the box centrally, which Hazard struggles to do because he has not got the same pace, and is thus more often than not forced to go wide or pass it to someone else. Moreover, when Messi dribbles centrally he is more often than not able to get into a very good goalscoring opportunity, Bottomline from me, I believe he needs to improve his finishing as you mentioned but mainly being able to get into more goalscoring opportunities through pace imo in order to get to the next level. * I write centrally because judging from the heat maps from Messi and Hazard you can clearly see that Messi has a much more central attack heat range than Hazard, who has got most of his attacking heat range on the LM/LW.
what is according to you the next level? hazard is unique, there is nothing you can compare him too except zidane (who said he will be the best in the world) its not about statistics, its what he does. goals doesnt say everything. his presence to change the game is exceptionel and toucourt. you want to take him under the looking glass, there is no passion about that, no enjoyment. he is then next best thing after cr7 and messi no doubt about that.

nEOs1255 he's changed after this season. the hazard i knew was less finishing at lille. he's progressing beautifully.
