I appeared for jee main /class 12 for the first time in 2023 and qualify jee main 2023 but did NOT register for jee advanced 2023
I took drop and qualify jee main 2024
so my QUERY IS WHAT WOULD BE MY YEAR OF FIRST ATTEMPT IN JEE ADVANCED
2023 or 2024 ????

in first question, to deduce the -ve and positive magnitude...
we know that direction of EMW is +ve z axis and its given by cross(E.B)
on breaking the electric field itself in x and y components... we can deduce that...
since EF is in +ve x, MF must be in +ve y to give cross product along +z...
similarly for +ve y of EF, MF must be in -ve x... since cross(j.-i) = k..
this is just alternative for unit vectors, for those who struggle with directions...

@@rishabhjalan4457 bro it's because, see first we know that EMW is in +ve z, and then using i,j,k cycle... we get EMW direction when we take cross of ExB... we know that Electric field is +y so since we know that:
j×i = -k
but we want +k since EMW is in +ve
so the Bx must be negative such that
j×(-i)= +k

don't worry about the result, when it literally depends on your progress, focus on working than to expecting.
and i've 93.5 in Jan and 90sm in April, even if I academically stand inferior to, I still look upto work for advance. Goodluck
i remember wasting so much time overthinking that tan inverse sin inverse thing last year. will not repeat such mistakes this year, i wouldve just marked the last option and moved on if i come across a situation like that this year. thank you sir!

Sir for 5th question, for the bottom ray, (single ray) why did u make the single ray deflect, isn't it perpendicular to the surface, What i thought was net deflection occurs due to differenc e kn path covered by both rays not individual deflection of one ray

Paper 2 ka total bas 83 hi raha hai. Total 184 with all conditions as allowed in advanced paper.
Lekin sir mujhe iss baat ka bhi confidence nahi hai ki mera selection hoga IIT mein ya nahi.
Pata nahi kyon lekin jee advanced ke naam se hi mujhe darr lagta hai.

Sir but in 4th question during the exam how would we know which one to put? Like I solved it myself and only got 150 as the answer... (I did it by some other method). But what if during the exam we would get to find all the three answers? Exam ke time pe toh hamein lagega ki 3 answer hain kya dalu... ultimately q leave karna padega aur gaye hamare 3/4 marks, which are very valuable

Sir if we take first ray towards Lens then - parallel rays to M1 converging at 10 cm infront of mirror 1
Now we have to make image of that (converged image from M1) at 4 cm left of Lens so that it is at centre of curvature of M2
and everything will be reversed
for v =-4 , f = 10 , u = -20/7
Therefore total distance = 20/7 + 10 = 90/7
Hence n = 90 (ALSO)
