Some of the best and most complete tear down and camera work I have ever seen here on UA-cam! Keep up the great work!
Can’t wait to see ED look when he sees the golden nugget all done and running. All you guys are super. I want to say thank you for all your doing for ED. He is lucky to have such good friends. Thanks Robby, Dinner and Hillbilly, Fab Rats and Matt you guys are all great.
Yeah, I was looking forward to seeing his face on the big reveal too, shame they’re letting the cat out of the bag so he sees it in bits rather than complete.
@@jeffharris4558 if I'm not mistaken, Ed doesn't watch the videos.
@@jeffharris4558 they said early on that Ed doesn't do social media or the internet so it's a surprise. Ed believes Paul is just tinkering with it a bit to try and maybe get it running.
@@jamesagee9876 yeah, but they said in the video that they’re bringing Ed up in the next week to see the progress. 33:01
@@jeffharris4558 Dude, they’re talking about the Ed Bobble Head that Paul has had since the beginning of the build. Not the actual real Ed… 🤣
Robby, you and your team do such AMAZING work! I can't imagine how many man hours ($$$$) have already gone into the Golden Nugget. I'm really excited to see the final product!
Great family , thanks for a good movie
You buddy have a beautiful family and great employees and you guys are very humble thank you for letting us enjoy your lives
Wow, never knew it was so much work to paint a vehicle. This is a eye opener.
31:38. I still looked away. My dad had his own business repairing welders and generators, I learned at a young age to look away and even though this is a video, the habit is still there. Great job you all. That is a ton of work!
“You can…share it with me.” She is adorable! 🤣😭
I am 76 years young, and I don't think I have ever seen a complete takedown for a repaint. WOW thanks for the detail!
I’m glad you were able to see the process young man!
That's gona be so awesome to have Ed there watching
Paul spent weeks building the nugget and you've completely disassembled it! It's going to be an awesome paint job! Transmission, no paint, aluminum. So much for the surprise reveal!
Paul did a good job on the build. I look forward to Bobby getting it finished and Ed giving it a drive.
You guy's sure go the extra mile , the Golden nugget is going to look BOMB when it's done !!! Clean aluminum looks good ,one less thing to paint ....
Hill Billy knows his stuff, it's cool to see a boss that isn't afraid to learn from their employees . I'd definitely work for Robby, lemme know if yall need a nurse at the shop.
You guys (MORR, FabRats, and Robby Layton) should put together a minute or two montage of the restoration for Ed to see.
Not till it's all finished its a surprise.
As part of a set of DVDs with all the Golden Nugget videos to watch on his brand new DVD player
That montage would be at least twenty min long with all the work that's gone into it.
I know a lot of people like myself have been looking forward to this teardown and rebuild. I know it is going to look amazing when completed. Ed will just be stunned when it’s finished. 👍
Awwww baby is so sweet. Great video
What a great channel! You guys are so funny, and at the same time professional. You all are going to do a great job on the nugget for Ed. My vote...Leave the transmission aluminum.
Great job Robby, Hillbilly and Dinner! Glad to see your wife (The REAL BOSS) and daughter in the video! Aluminum on the transmission is my vote! Thanks for posting the video!
Man y'all absolutely do it the right right way! Total off frame restoration!
This is a great start for the GN rebuild! I like the energy you put into your videos! I enjoy seeing the family make an appearance as well. You got it goin’ sir!
I’m truly impressed with your professionalism orientation skills enthusiasm making progress with a sense of humour always motivates vision and creativity process and proactively your attitude encourages those involved that’s important aspect of fab work
The D quote was freaking awesome
You guys work good together. Really like the family setting in your shop. Looking forward to more videos
Yeah ! Been waiting for this rebuild! Can’t wait to see Ed’s face when it’s done .
Aluminum looks good. Great job Robby
Seeing the quality of your work and your attention to detail, Ed’s Golden Nugget is going to be the talk of the American northwest. Furthermore, your wife is a charming lady, and your daughter is preciously cute.
Check with Matt about that other rear door from the original nugget. As for the hood that too was in pretty good shape. Good luck on finding the parts needing replacement.
I had no idea that the level of professionalism still exists in the body industry. Actually probably only yours the attention to detail is awesome. I had a 64 split window that I sand blasted to bare metal and I got a pug filled rust bucket back. I love I Canada so I’m to far away but I would rather spend big money once than chase rust relentlessly.
I've been following the Golden Nugget rebuild and am looking forward to seeing what you guys do with this! So happy for Ed.
Well done guys, happy to see you all together working as a family having fun …that makes the difference and teach us all how to built strong communities, strong country. Keep it up
Speaking of NUMB feet... in Jan 2015 my left foot would go numb when I bent down and would go back to normal after standing up... I thought 💭 I had pinched a nerve... ignored it until March thinking it would improve and I was busy at work (logistics manager) ... Finally decided to see 👀 my doctor 👨⚕️ ... he recommended a MRI and we discovered a Tumor at L4/L5 on the front side of the spine... biopsy should it to be Follicular Lymphoma Stage 3 due to another spot on upper chest (not lung or breast)... 6 rounds of RCHOP Chemotherapy and 6 spinal injections of Methotrexate and I'm 6 years cancer free... God Bless the Great People of City-of-Hope, Duarte, California... Cancer Sucks but Life is Awesome with Wonderful Family and Friends... Thanks 🙏🏻 for sharing your amazing 😉 life journey.
I thought the plan was to keep it a secret from Ed and surprise him when finished. Love watching the videos and yall do wonderful work.
You thought right, Ed doesn't watch these videos. He has no idea what they are doing
@@tendamudzimugoza8868 Yeah but why let him see it before its done kind of a waste of time to show it to him now.
Yeah, I'm wondering how this turn of events is going to work out 🤷♂️😁
I"m guessing a life size cardboard cutout
They were talking about the "Ed Bubblehead", It got accidentally left at Fabrats.
For the rubber bumpers for the glove compartment, go to your local NAPA store and look at part numbers: 665-2268, 665-2220, 665-2260, and 665-2264. Hope this helps.
Maybe they could be 3d printed with a soft material.
Anyone who drops part numbers is a hero. Wish more people would. 👍
I see Daniel dropped the part numbers for rubber bumpers. Good deal but as a side note I've sourced the bumpers for cabinet doors and used them before.
you can also use thr rubber stops for metal entrance doors also
