Ryu Hayabusa NEEDS to be in Smash!!! He's literally the first Ninja in Video Game history for crying out loud! And he debuted on a Nintendo Gaming console no less! I would cry so hard if he truly joins Smash!!!
This is how the opening to the Ninja Gaiden Movie should go. This is such a brilliant ode to the cartridge that stole so many hours of my childhood. Not just a like, but LOVE this!
There's nothing less than perfection in this musical masterpiece. I didn't feel any jarring aspect, I didn't feel any deviation from the original soundtrack, and ultimately to go above and beyond whatever emotion I had for this song was elevated and given a new meaning. Well done 20/10, 10/10 isn't enough to rate this song.
I bought this track on iTunes about a month and a half ago and I absolutely love the hell out of it! Taking those classic eight bit tracks, and turning them into classical masterpieces is nothing short of incredible.❤

i like the unbreakable determination part a lot, really fresh approach instead of all the questionable rock-remixes.. but still it's such a shame somehow no one seems to "catch" the vow of revenge theme just right, its a dramatic theme, with resolve building from grief, trying to make it sound epic and heroic just makes it lose its power, and unbreakable determination is already the "revenge" answer towards "vows" plead, the contrast of both parts shapes the story, making them sound the same, rips the passion out of both.
Yay! That intro! Anybody else remembering Lee van Cleef, Eli Wallach and Clint Eastwood dueling over the chest of golden dollars? Troll off. Great stuff! 🤟

Outside of Final Fantasy VII, this is probably my favorite series of all time, and you are KILLING IT!!!!! Please tell my you have more Ninja Gaiden planned!!!!
If the original trilogy were to be remade to be like the XBOX reboots, this should be used for the announcement track...I can see how it would go! First, we hear NOT this track, but silence at first as two Ninjas, highlighted by silhouette circle one another, the field becoming painfully familiar as the background becomes clearer and clearer...the intro we know but redone, (updated music?), Then as the slash goes through, we hear this track fade in and we hear Ken Hayabusa's voice at first as we see Ken fall before it fades to Ryu's voice, cutting to him reading his father's last letter...Then we zoom in on Ryu (showing a measured fury on his face) as he resolves not just to avenge his father but also figure out WHY he would get into such a fatal duel... Then Unbreakable Determination gets going, we see Ryu fighting through the city and cutting down thugs, commandos and ninja, with enough blood to tell that it'll get messy (like in Ninja Gaiden 2 (XBOX) as we will soon see), with Irene coming in (looking like a healthy mix of her DoA appearance and her NES appearance) pointing a gun at Ryu, then we see the word 'Ninja' Next we get Ashtar's little evil rant followed by Ryu being seen again, this time cutting his way through the Tower of Chaos, a demon gets cut to sashimi along with several others in one glorious Ultimate Attack, seeing Essence Orbs fly into him before hand. Then the words 'Gaiden'. Then, we get Ryu working his way through the city with the news report that condemns him for being Irene Lew's 'murderer', doding Police Helicopters and the like as he is working to prove his innocence, then cut to him ascending the Ghost Ship of Doom, finally, the word 'Saga' comes in...Then we get the three words together and a release date...then a cut to Ryu facing off against The Jaquio, his blade glimmering before we see Ashtar standing against Ryu who has Irene behind him, wounded, before the blade glimmers again and we see, from Ryu's eyes, Evil Ryu from Ghost Ship of Doom, then the trailer fades out...
The issue is that there will be two Ryu. Nintendo tries not to include too many characters with similar name unless they are clones or an alternative character ala Dr. Mario or Toon Link.

Nah, it should be at the end of such a movie. Just standing there in the beginning and then the final dash through minions to the big bad.
I mean the there is a Vow of Revenge motif in the beginning which does play in the prelogue cutscene.

I see that you based the intro on "Deep Purple - Apri" like Ninja Gaiden did, but took more elements from it.
