Thanks Charlotte. I think KIa has a game changer with the full 2nd row being able to be fully removed. It allows the vehicle to be used as a people carrier and a hauler. One thing as well, I don't think you've pointed out, is the middle seat in the second row can move back further than the two end seats! Three people in the 2nd row can then be staggered and not brushing elbows. It'll be good to see how the Hybrid matches up, but a shame for no AWD on this vehicle, especially here in Canada!
Yes the middle seats has lots of options for movement! I didn’t specifically mention it, but hopefully anyone watching can get a good look at how far the rails extend backwards! We did make sure to show it in our full review of the Carnival too! Thanks for commenting!
Does it work? I'm I'm Australia and was trying to see if It worked but couldn't figure it out. Do you think the seats can also be flipped to face the back row? Thank you
Hello can this be done with the 2025 carnival prestige package, i have not been able to do it and it is a bit uncomfortable for those that have to enter and get to the back seats. Thanks,
Thanks for the instructions. Note:Australian model of Kia Carnival does not have the bar at the back. The Australian model has a C clamp under the seat. that needs to be undone and then 3 electric cables unplugged before removing the seat.
This hasn't been something we've experienced in Canada. However, it's going to vary depending on geography/climate. The rails are metal and metal does get hot if it's sitting idle in a hot climate.
You're a mind reader, Charlotte. This is why I want the 8 seater to maximize the available space at times. Are you aware that you can switch the outer bench seats to reverse the seating as each has its own seatbelt system? Btw, my target 2025 Carnival SX Prestige specification is Ivory Silver, Off Black Leather interior and is actually available for immediate purchase about 20 miles away. Note Kia only packages the complete ambient lighting feature (including all door panels) and the 2nd row double pane windows with the 7 seat Captains chairs configuration (Seat Package). My target vehicle happens to be equipped with the upgraded 14.6 inch Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) tablets. The demo I received was awesome. This is my current dilemma but may have to be satisfied with the VIP lounge chairs option as is. Tough problem to have, eh? Again, this is Lawrence from South Florida.
I still prefer the Telluride. It's a great CUV, even with a ride that's a bit hard at times. And the Telluride that we drive(company owned)has gone off road and has been taking a beating. Yet, 67k miles in one year, new brakes, tires and shocks. The Telluride is still about as solid when we took delivery of it for ETA. It's our parts runner. Has awd , plenty of room, runs like new. Only downside is the tech that went dead for Apple Carplay. We bought one because we were so impressed with our company Telluride. Gas mileage is another story. But you don't buy a Telluride for economy. My brother's company car is well maintained by us. And there are ZERO squeaks or rattles when driving it. And mpg is stuck on 20. Great demo here, Charlotte. To our surprise, the seats are still in great shape. But the fronts have seat covers. The mid and 3rd row seats out for cargo. Good car-a-truck. JD traded in a Santa Cruz for the Telli.
It looks easy, but trust me, it is not. At all. And she doesn't mention the most important aspect, how you find the spot where you place the seat back. With my deepest respect, this video misses the most important part.
With all due respect, did you watch the video? The process is actually very easy, and all was shown in this video in just over 2 minutes. To put the seat back you simply align the seat back with the rails and press down, you will hear it click and lock into place, as demonstrated in the video. If there’s anything you’re stuck on, let us know. We can try to walk you through it.
@@BrantfordKiahow about when it gets misaligned inside the channel? Well…you have to carefully reach into the track and depress a tab. I can’t say which tab it is but you’ll know it because it’ll move and you really have to press down hard and when you do, you can move the receptacles. Move the white receptacles forward and make sure they are aligned. Also make sure the headrest are removed, and the front seats are all the way forward and tilted out of the way. If the chair is stuck, just work it out. You can’t do this step without the chair off the rails This way it will go in without frustrations. You’re welcome.
Super easy to remove the seats, but mine do not “simply click back into place” when I try to reinstall them. My brand new Carnival is currently stuck without a second row seat because they will not reinstall.
Sorry to hear that you’re having difficulties. If you’re still unable to get it - I would recommend grabbing a friend / family member and having them keep their eye on the rail system while you line it up and push down. If you suspect that there is a defect with the rail system - I would reach out to your local dealer.
@@coheneastman6523 20 plus years ago, I bought a ford windstar because it had built in child safety seats. Very uncomfortable for adults but very useful for my young children. I didn't even think about the fact that child seats expire, I just thought that was an awesome feature. I also like the idea of stow n go for people who need a cargo van one day, then a family vehicle the next. Its absolutely brilliant for that purpose, but as a comfy adult transporter, it doesn't fare well.
I think stow and go seats and fully removable seats both have their time and place. While I do enjoy stow and go seating, it's not as comfortable for the rear passengers. If you use the van for cargo more than passengers stow and go makes sense, but if you're primarily hauling people, I'd want a more comfortable seat.

This is great!

Very well demonstrated and explained. Thank You
Thanks for watching!
Hi! Thanks!
Can the middle seats on the Kia Carnival Hybrid be removed too?
Yes as long as they’re not the VIP recliner chairs
You’re amazing ❤
Do you have one for the 22 SX Prestige with the captain chairs?
Has Kia addressed the rails getting hot when the van idles for a period of time?
This hasn't been something we've experienced in Canada. However, it's going to vary depending on geography/climate. The rails are metal and metal does get hot if it's sitting idle in a hot climate.
Is this with all models of the Kia carnival?
For everything except the SX+. The SX+ has the captains chairs
Ok.. I ask because I can't locate the handle on my model, it's the one above the base model
It must be different for the Aussie cars as we have cabling into ours as well
If you remove the 2nd row middle seat, can the two middle row chairs move side to side (left to right)?
No, only on the SX + can the seats move side-to-side.
Wow can you remove all the seats and use it as a cargo van? What are the dimensions of the cleared space? Can I hold a 5x8 sheet?

Hey Lawrence! That definitely is a tough problem to have haha - sounds like you’ve got some fun choices to make! Thanks for watching!
Thank you!
Thanks!
Can you remove the middle seat and leave the two on the ends in place to crate a pass through to the third row?
Yes - the middle seat is completely removable.
Hi I love watching your videos can you please 🙏 upload 4k videos please❤
Chars.cars more like chars.GUNS 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
this is my exercise for the week
Ffs... makes me want to sell our 2k23 model, Kia never told us about the fxxkn cable UNDER the 2ndrow side seats 🤬🤬🤬
Is this the same for the 2024 ?
The 2025 has had an interior refresh - but it's vernally the same process for the 2024.
Good job.

Does the base/LX trim level also have these feature?
Yes! The seats are removable on the base!

Agree. What she shows is easy mode. It is never easy and if it were we’d not be on UA-cam.

What yr model?
This is the 2025 Sx!
Can’t compete with stow ‘n go
Not meant to. They chose to go with good comfy seating instead of fold in the floor church pews. Different things work for different families.
I’ll admit, I am a fan of stow ‘n go, but I find these seats to be more comfortable. Plus I love having a more customizable interior layout!
@@BrantfordKiaoh never thought about that! I guess because I was a kid I didn’t care about how comfortable the seats were lol
