Great video. Farming in Orlando, nice. Your enthusiasm to jump into new things and share the experience is inspiring. Just getting into overlanding with a four runner and have hit replay a few times.
Jason, you're going to learn that you always need a bigger tractor and a bigger shed 😀. It's great to see you happy and enjoying life, congrats on the property and I really look forward to seeing the new content!!
Honestly no matter what you produce, you’re genuine attitude and informative content has always interested me. Keep it up and excited to see this new chapter you embark on.
Welcome to central Florida! I am just outside of Mount Dora (near Orlando) myself! Can't wait to see some future adventures, as I sure do miss your overlanding VLOGS!
This is awesome. I think you already have the audience/subscribers for this sort of content. I feel like people who are into overlanding are also into everything outdoorsy, including homesteading. Keep it up! I can't wait for more.
Welcome to Florida! I live in Winter Garden, which is a little south of Orlando. Let me know if you are ever down for a weekend trip! Im trying to plan something with a friend in the next few weeks
Jason- Glad you're back (ish.) I truly believe you could run a channel on just sitting on a stool and 'speaking southern' and we'd all watch and enjoy! Wife and I saw you at Overland Ex East while we were at Kevin + Sarah's booth, but didn't want to bother- you looked so deep in thought! I can't imaging the pressure it is to feel like you need to constantly produce content for viewers- and also make it fresh. Anyway- I LOVE the idea of you showing us how you plan to develop the property into a homestead! We could ALL learn a thing or two about being more prepared and less dependent on others! Till the next video- Cheers!
Build your own green house. I had one and the wind blew it down. Ended up building our own and use the polycarbonate from the HF green house on the new one.
I’ve read about them not being very strong and have some ideas on reinforcing it. If nothing else it’ll be a learning experience. I believe I’d rather a much larger hoop greenhouse structure. Looking into it.
As a born and raised Central Florida follower: welcome to the playground! 11 Acres in Orlando? WOW. That's amazing! I was looking myself at the Lakeland area. Anyways, this is all very exciting. Happy to see your continued growth and looking forward to more adventures with you.
I’m actually in central Florida! Currently under contract to sell my home.. the money is gonna be used to get a new 4runner and trailer to go in live on the road around Utah and neighboring states lol! Good luck with your future n may you enjoy your new adventures
Really great to see you Jason! By all means, I am still one of the original & continued subscribers.. Homesteading is what I have yearned to do since I was a kid. -Great Stuff!!
Good for you man! I think your ideas mirror a lot of other peoples ideas and your one of the few that actually gets out there and “does it”. Keep up the good work and I look forward to your future videos!!
Your vids have always been fun to watch - your edits are great. Tough to beat UT though, I'd be surprised if you didn't wind up there or here in CO again someday...
Agreed! As a lifelong 801er it took some effort to not bristle hearing someone pick Florida over Utah! Jason, love your videos man and I’ve many of them as a template for my own 4Runner build that I’m just starting! Definitely something to be said for owning land my friend! Good luck and I’ll be happy to ride along!
I usually see your video. Waiting for it but i never see your video on my page. Until i see your video than i know that you is on hiatus. I hope you post more video.
Get yourself some bib overalls, a straw hat and I believe you will soon find the country garb and accent becoming second nature. YEE HA Y"ALL! Jason has gone country on us, this should prove it's self interesting.
harbor freight greenhouses suck!! They eventually crack, fade, get algae inside the panels, wind will blow out panels. I speak from first hand experience. They are a bitch to build too. Oh, and the doors are horrible. you'd be better off building the "Texas pepper 2" hoop style cheap GH if you don't want to spend the cash, those work well! If I had your land, I'd pour a cement pad and buy a quality commercial grade double wall greenhouse, fans & vents. Cement floor will help keep bugs and creatures out. Plus a nice flat surface for you hydro stuff. Make a killer leaf/tree mulch compost pile, use that for soil in grow boxes if you don't use a hydro method. Also, chickens STINK, make sure they are far away & down wind from house.
@@SwellRunner I’ve used it. It’s good for moisturizing the skin. And keeping it healthy.I’ve used oil as well But balm for me just makes it feel and look so full.
I’ve been here since the first “Hi my name is Jason” 4runner in the woods video. To be honest I’m a fan of you as a human, almost like a role model I’ve never met. Glad you and your family are well, can’t wait to see more on your farm build.
Jason, I've been watching your channel for years. I can't be more excited to watch your homesteading progress. Keep posting your triumphs and fails. People will watch.
This sounds like a lot of fun Jason. Can't wait. I said hi to you at the Overland Expo but you waived me off and split. When we lived in Utah. We had 13 chickens and 2 cows. Two of thr dumbest animals on a farm. My cows ate my irrigation pipe. You have to make their area huge. They will escape most pens so be prepared. Looking forward to your experiences. Have a good one
Gotta admit, I’ve missed your videos. They got me thru some long ass shifts at work while I was in school. We are closing on a house next week and I can’t wait to start building our 4Runner and getting another overland rig to build as well. There’s a ton of stuff you did to the Swell Runner I wanna do to ours.
If you do get bee's make sure you some that have been in your area for awhile. Sometimes buying bee's online don't work out as plane. If they aren't use to the heat then they can die out. The best way to start up with bee's is to find a swarm of bee's in a tree or building somewhere and move them to your place. I can't think of the name rite now but there's a good book out that's all about bee's and how to raise them. Chickens are probably the easiest animals to have.
I don’t subscribe anymore because you change like the weather. You had a nice 4 Runner and sold it for a Ram?!You lost me there-and a lot of others as well.Sold your house in Utah?Huh?The best 4 wheeling and overlanding in the country-for what?Florida?Land of the Jewish grandmothers.Flat as hell-no change of season-just hot all the time.I’m done.
Congrats man! Might want the chickens closer to you, so you can shoot the critters that come for them. Things just absolutely love to eat them, and it is amazing how crafty those animals are.
Aquaponics have always fascinated me. Disney’s “Living With the Land” started my fascination 30 years ago. I haven’t done it yet so it’s exciting To watch you jump into that world, and “figure it all out for me”
I like many others have been here since the beginning when you were modding your T4R in your driveway. It inspired me to get one and now that I have I’m going back and rewatching all of your installs. I am looking forward to watching the Homestead build as that is also something I’ve been looking into, trying to become self sufficient.
Welcome to Central Florida! I am in the Wildwood area and we love it here. We are actually thinking of buying a small piece of rural land and doing a bit of what you're going to do, so it will be fun to watch your journey!
Ah, ow. No offense, Jimmy, but if you wanted to let Jimmy Kielbasa and the others quit watching UA-cam for having UA-cam closed down, relaunched, shut down, torn down, destroyed and blown up by an implosion and going bankrupt and out of business till spring 2023 for April Fools' Day on April 1, 2023, I wouldn't mind. Ugh. Yeah, I'm getting a lot of tired of UA-cam bit myself, Carl. I guess nothing lasts forever. Hypno-beam, reprogram.
Jason: Looking forward to updates on your new adventure. We have enjoyed your overlanding videos, I have learned a lot from you, I even bought a 4runner that looks like yours and I am in the process of upgrading it. Thank you for all the helpful info. Best wishes to you and your family. Toyo 12
Wow I lived in Franklin Jefferson and Santa Rosa counties then Desoto Highlands Hardee and Polk and I found NW Florida much more rural and lower cost of living than central Florida but good for you and I enjoyed your past videos and look forward to the new ones Many blessings to you and your family
Nice, Cuz! Now you just need to add 10k and 100 squats and you keep he just like Saitama! For the beard, go with Zeus. You need the balm, oil, and comb and the itch goes away.
Jason, can I just ask roughly what area you bought in? I was born and raised in central Florida, Mount Dora to be specific. So I just thought it would be cool to know since you have been one of my favorite UA-camrs.
Goats can be great pals, even if they are rascals. Cows are the worst. You will never do anything with your waking hours but fight them or fix them for catch them.
Nice, love that homesteading life
I'm in...I'll gladly watch your transition into homesteading from scratch. Cheers from Denver Colorado!

I actually laughed out loud when you said you feel like talking with a country accent when talking about homesteading. I sorta relate the two, too.
I’m doing it in my head now. Lok
Good luck with the harbor freight greenhouse. I built mine. It was flimsy so I went and bought lumber and framed it out then transferred the walls.
I’ve read the same. And plan on doing some reinforcing. I see it more as an experiment. Lol
