The random selections in Ravalry is inspiring. How about choosing a non-commercial yarn and looking at projects by yarn. Sometimes I find a yarn I really want to knit with so I then need some pattern ideas.
Wow thanks for picking my comment :) I totally forgot about peaches and cream yarn - kinda skewed the results but it was definitely interesting Keep roulette coming!
I love knitting the wash cloths/Dish clothes as gifts. World Mkt. has cute little soaps. I put them in the middle of the cloth, tie a nice satin ribbon to make it like a bundle, and it's a super nice gift for any occasion.
Hey Tayler! This is brilliant! I love seeing the random patterns instead of the same 20 hot right now and thanks for including crochet btw. It’s nice hearing your positivity on each one ❤❤❤
I love the peaches and cream yarn. I knit t-towels that hang from my oven handle. I make two at a time and then I make matching dish cloths. I put big fancy buttons on the t-towel handles and I make the towel portion with pretty knit stitches. I love them.
This is the best thing I never knew I needed! I'm glad I haven't been watching recently because now I get to binge watch all of these at once! I love getting to see totally different stuff, something other than Steven West (he's cool, but that's all I see in Hot Right Now). Hopefully bringing in some sales for some unseen designers too! I hope these vids are a permanent fixture here!
lol! After seeing your podcast about Queen Elizabeth dishcloths a little over a year ago,I made two! 😂 made one for a friend and one for myself. 😊 it’s always my first to go to!
Inspired by your last video, I filtered by the type of yarn I had, but I looked at patterns randomly instead of sorting by "hot right now" etc. I LOVE what I found, stuff that probably would have been on the last page or something. Some designers don't get the attention they deserve
I did the roulette along with you (your random numbers) and I got a Peach bottom poodle stuffy, 1896 Court Presentation Gown for a Barbie and a Love Pillow!
LOVE your roulette series! Probably because I consider myself quite the nerd when it comes to knitting and crocheting and all things related. And on that note: how much fun could one discover if using the word NERD as a filter..?
For my daughter's baby shower in November, I did a set of purl bump washclothes with a nautical theme. I used shine yarn from knitpicks and they are so stinking cute and soft!
#filter Some have mentioned Easter coming up but I was thinking it might be nice to go broader and do each season as it comes up. So for this month doing Spring. Follow that up with Summer, Fall/Autumn, and Winter. Loving these! 💜
#filter I'd love to see a specific category while still casting a wide net, so like accessories only or clothing only, also maybe a search term for the next season as it approaches, so like searching for "spring" or "growth" or something like that to see if one might find a fun pattern to make in time for spring to arrive
I watched the last video, too, and really enjoy this new series. Suggest you add a filter for "has photo = yes" and availability to make sure the pattern is not discontinued
Hi Tayler. I’m really enjoying these videos! It’s so much fun! I love making washcloths. I was knitting for years before making one. They are a great way to learn new techniques and perfect for knitting in the car. Those cup cozies are a great idea! I can’t tell you how many red solo cups we’ve had to throw out because no one knew which one was theirs. Make a bunch of different colors and voila! Each person knows which cup is theirs. Thank you for another fun video!❤
I love this because Ravelry is very confusing and some people don’t really know how to use it. I just found out recently that you can get help on patterns you are knitting. It kept me from frogging my project. Thanks so much.
Hi Taylor I didn’t comment on the first episode of this series but I just want you to know that I’m loving the roulette series. Please keep them coming ❤
I love the random order feature. I started using it to look at patterns in my library so I can see patterns that get buried when I use the other options like best match or hot right now.
#filter…..how about a shape - circle, square, hexagon etc. I make cloths but for baby washcloths instead of dishcloths and I use KP Cotlin because it’s lighter weight then all cotton and makes a smaller cloth. Elaine Fitzpatrick has a whole bunch of really great free patterns.
Wonderful! This search technique helped me find knitted and crocheted clothes for stuffed animals. I was not finding what I wanted before, but now I have so many I can't decide which to use! I'm sure I will use this for many searches in the future. Thank you!
This is a delightful idea. Keep the roulette coming. I have a feeling these will be quite addictive. And I bet some people will be doing them when there are no ideas in mind. Perfect for when we don't have a clue what to do.
Hey! Great video, and here's my #filter idea. How about sorting by age or gender? It would be cool to see your takes on less discussed sweaters on UA-cam like Children's or Men's garments.
The first one was great, but the second time was slightly disappointing but only for me. The idea is great fun. Makes you think 'outside of the box' and see completely different things.
I love this concept! You can even random generate the #filter ideas by listing them all in an excel sheet and pulling a number for that episode's theme. Gearing up for gift knitting in time for mother's day, I am suggesting #filter mom
I love the Ravelry Roulette! I have knit larger cloths for baby gifts (washcloth or burp cloth) that have a heart on it. So sweet! Love the cardinal one. I'm not likely to do the Princess Peach one, but it is cute! Love the Solo Cup Cozy! My grandma crocheted a bunch of glass cozies that we still use sometimes, but I like the larger sizes of these! Brava for finding these and thanks for sharing!
Amazing! I am sitting here now knitting a sweater. The pattern name is Peach Fuzz. lol! It reminds me slightly of the stripe hype. It is my last cold weather garment this year. Then on to summer knitting.
It would be really cool if the search for a keyword was narrowed by "pattern name" or "pattern notes" in the advanced search. For example, your search brought up a lot based on the peaches & cream yarn; but searching for "peach" under the pattern name filter gives 482 results. 🍑 I couldn't help but look at the Ravelry advanced search options since I work as a library technician. 😅
I'll start out by admitting that I'm not focusing on the topic at hand, but YOU HAVE 145 MESSAGES AT RAVELRY?!?! How do you even deal with that? Anyway, this is a fun game, and I'm tempted to do it myself because otherwise searching for patterns is endless and frustrating. I could filter for "hat" and "sport" weight yarn, and then spin the wheel and see what pops up. Much more fun than the old way! Ravelry Roulette is a winner. 🤩
Back by popular demand: RAVELRY ROULETTE! Let's play! 🎰 ❤ EDITED TO ADD: That is Queen Elizabeth the II. Not the first. 🤦♀️
The random selections in Ravalry is inspiring. How about choosing a non-commercial yarn and looking at projects by yarn. Sometimes I find a yarn I really want to knit with so I then need some pattern ideas.
This series is fabulous! Love how it may help designers whose items may get overlooked. I'm going to make the cardinals. So Fun ~ thank you.
Wow thanks for picking my comment :)
I totally forgot about peaches and cream yarn - kinda skewed the results but it was definitely interesting
Keep roulette coming!
I’m knitting my Emotional Support Chicken while watching this. I loved the first Roulette video. 💚
Louise Sarrazin has lots of adorable patterns. 😍
I’m so glad you enjoy this Star! I have so much fun making them. ❤️
I love this segment. Definitely keep it up. In an odd turn of events, I was randomly wondering the other day whatever happened to her dish clothes 😅
Make this a regular thing! I like the patterns you've found AND I learn something about Ravelry each time (all 2 of them). 😊
These are soooo fun! Love your videos to watch in the evenings with a cup of tea ☺️🍵 #filter sunset 🌇
Thanks so much for all THE GREAT content, Tayler! Your channel is excellent, always. Filter idea: filter ponchos
I love the peaches and cream yarn. I knit t-towels that hang from my oven handle. I make two at a time and then I make matching dish cloths. I put big fancy buttons on the t-towel handles and I make the towel portion with pretty knit stitches. I love them.
#filter -- ala Princess Bride use the word "buttercup!" Love your videos!
I love this. More roulette please!
I have a 4 month old daughter who might be getting a Princess Peach outfit this Halloween…
Loving this! I’m going to start doing this with patterns I have in my library. Fun way to knit up some of my patterns.
So much fun! And now I’ll be making dishcloths w/purl designs!
I was thinking about choosing the country of the designer. It is one the category in the filters. Maybe Japan, Scotland or Norway for example
I’m so glad you enjoyed this Susannah! And yep. These are here to stay. ☺️
lol! After seeing your podcast about Queen Elizabeth dishcloths a little over a year ago,I made two! 😂 made one for a friend and one for myself. 😊 it’s always my first to go to!
These are fun. I’m going to do some random roulette of my own to see what gets buried.
We call patterns like disclothes “palette cleansers”. Great in between project.
With Easter around the corner I'd love to see an Easter or Bunny #filter
Love this series!!! ❤😂
#filter You should do a search for each season! Since we’re approaching Spring, it’s a great time for that theme/filter!
Inspired by your last video, I filtered by the type of yarn I had, but I looked at patterns randomly instead of sorting by "hot right now" etc. I LOVE what I found, stuff that probably would have been on the last page or something. Some designers don't get the attention they deserve
You read my mind on adding crochet 🎉
Timeless or whimsical! 😊 #filter
Kitchy that’s the word for cup cozies. I love the idea of the Stanley cozy.
I said it last time, and I’ll say it again. I would watch these for hours 😄
Very cool cardinal. I'm not a knitter but I bet it could be done in crochet too. Mulling it over....🤔
For my daughter's baby shower in November, I did a set of purl bump washclothes with a nautical theme. I used shine yarn from knitpicks and they are so stinking cute and soft!
OMG!! I'm with you on the Princess Peach costume. So adorable!
#filter Some have mentioned Easter coming up but I was thinking it might be nice to go broader and do each season as it comes up. So for this month doing Spring. Follow that up with Summer, Fall/Autumn, and Winter. Loving these! 💜
#filter Love this idea! I vote 3 of the same filter in a video. Spring is coming I propose- flower
They were all so cute!
I'd say...
#filter Star Wars! let's see what comes out :P
Hi Tayler. I’m really enjoying these videos! It’s so much fun! I love making washcloths. I was knitting for years before making one. This is so much fun! Inspired by your T-shirt, maybe a Frida Kahlo search? #filter
I love Ravelry Roulette!!! Love your channel and vibe and can't wait to watch when you post videos! Keep them coming!
this series is really fun! also, #filter, maybe socks? i really like knitting them and i feel like they can get kinda funky
Love roulette!! 😊
Love this new series. See heaps of stuff on page background also, there is some weird and unusual things .
Love it , thanks for playing
LOVED it...again!!
Hi Taylor I didn’t comment on the first episode of this series but I just want you to know that I’m loving the roulette series. Please keep them coming ❤
Cup cozies with a bottom are great, they don't slip up.
Always having fun with WNH! Have a great vacation!
I love the random order feature. I started using it to look at patterns in my library so I can see patterns that get buried when I use the other options like best match or hot right now.
I love this series❤ so fun!!
#horse would be a fun one 😂❤ so fun ❤
#filter…..how about a shape - circle, square, hexagon etc.

This series is So Fun! Thanks.
no cause you're spot on with the cup cozy, it's like "yeah im cool but i also have a personality" or something. feels very art school idk
Love this concept! You should do an Easter themed one when the time comes❤️
Yes that would be fun!
Love this series! #filter spring or summer for next video. Definitely planning my upcoming knits
Super fun! My sister needs solo cup cozies!!!
okay im obsessed with your shirt!!
Thank you! It’s actually a gouache portrait I painted. 😊
I search peach fuzz. 4 patterns. One is a really sweet sweater.
What a fun game!
Wonderful! This search technique helped me find knitted and crocheted clothes for stuffed animals. I was not finding what I wanted before, but now I have so many I can't decide which to use! I'm sure I will use this for many searches in the future. Thank you!

#filter I think hands because of your handle 😂
Loving this!!!
How about one skein projects?
These are fun videos! #filter Spring
Your Princess Peach face though 😮😂 Filter: “summer fling”
Loving this new series! Please tell us where that fabulous t-shirt came from!
Cute idea! 🌵
Currently working on a set of sweary dishcloths for a friend who likes sweary things as much as I do!
Oooo I love sweary things. 😎
@@WOOLNEEDLESHANDS April Collins on Ravelry has some to choose from ;)
The first one was great, but the second time was slightly disappointing but only for me. The idea is great fun. Makes you think 'outside of the box' and see completely different things.
Kris is one of my fave crochet designers. Great pick!
hi, I tried to choose some random pattern, but I didn't liked it. So, I looked to designer website and choose another one. It works perfectly.
I love this concept! You can even random generate the #filter ideas by listing them all in an excel sheet and pulling a number for that episode's theme. Gearing up for gift knitting in time for mother's day, I am suggesting #filter mom
I'm not sure if it was mentioned but you could filter or keyword search by crochet or knitting stitch! #filter
I love this becoming a thing! It is so much fun ❤
This is a fun video!
#filter I think choosing “3 colors” in the number of colors tab would be a great filter
Love your Tee!
I'm already knitting last week's Gathered Scarf!
Love the random patterns!! How about doing a specific item, like "sweater," "scarf," or "socks?"
Hey, I'm obsessed with this video series so far :) I wonder what using 'tattoo' as a #filter would show
#easter. #spring. #floral
I ❤ these episodes! I'm going to try the word book since I write novels as a hobby and see what pops! A great inspiration!
Brilliant thank you 👏👏
These are so fun
So fun❤ I am going to knit the cardinal dish cloth
I like the peach idea, what if we did a color with the Ravelry filters?
I love this new series!!
#filter rainbows or sprinkles would be fun : )
Amazing! I am sitting here now knitting a sweater. The pattern name is Peach Fuzz. lol! It reminds me slightly of the stripe hype. It is my last cold weather garment this year. Then on to summer knitting.

I love this format. What a treat!
❤WHAT A TREAT ❤ Another bonus ❤ Is it christmas or something? 😁 It sure feels like it 🤗 Happy, happy saturday 😁
You know what? Im going to save this one til next week, so the wait for the next episode wont be that long 🤫😏😁
I'll start out by admitting that I'm not focusing on the topic at hand, but YOU HAVE 145 MESSAGES AT RAVELRY?!?! How do you even deal with that?
