- 100% accurate transcription of the notation in the original song! Most other UA-cam tutorials have it right for the most part, but are NOT entirely correct. If you want to learn this piece and do so correctly, this is the tutorial to use.

Photograph, as well as Song on the Beach, are some of my favorite piano compositions ever. Fullstop. I'm happy to help others learn this piece for themselves, so enjoy and let me know if this helps down in the comments! Let me know if I should cover/transcribe any other Arcade Fire / tracks from the Her OST

Thanks for watching,

Best Tip I can give to individuals learning this song: You kind of need to learn the right hand and left hand parts together instead of doing each separately and putting it together. The notation from the right hand doesn't really flow without the notes from the left.

this song destroys my wrist but i love it
RIP your right hand lol; you pretty much just need to keep in constant flux the whole time
Hell, when I was recording the live cover for this song, it took a few hours to get the take juuuust right. Almost broke my hand off
i thought you were joking but after practicing for like 20mins i started feeling the truth
It's crazy this tutorial isn't nearly as popular as the other ones on here. I tried learning this song with the top videos for this search, and noticed some of the notes were off. I'm glad I scrolled down enough to find yours though, great job!
Yeah, it's unfortunate haha. I made this tutorial because every other tutorial for this song had most of the notation correct, but they always had some part of it wrong, so I ended up releasing my own tutorial after learning the song with the proper notation for the piece
Well hey, regardless, I'm glad this tutorial could help! And if you want to help this tutorial get a bit more visibility when compared to the Top Videos for the search, a like or a share goes a long way!
Thanks man -Sage
take a sheet bro
@@SageNineMusic there is a note that is wrong at 0:40, it's not an F but a G (I'm not trying to be condescending or anything).
@@ferdinanddallard5508wait where ?
The ethereal and soothing arpeggios in this piece really made me want to learn it, and since I forget how to read music from time to time, these videos get the job done for me.
Bless your soul! Thank you so much for this tutorial :)
Really glad this could help man! Thanks for watching, an good luck learning the piece! It's 100% worth it and I love being able to whip this piece out whenever now lol
FINALLY FOUND THIS VERSION THANK YOU
Thanks! I noticed most every other tutorial for this song was 'off' in some way, so I made my own with the correct notation
Still, people seem to still go for the other versions instead of this one :/ its odd
Regardless, hope this helps!
I'm pretty new to the piano and this looks so intimidating to try and learn, thank you for uploading this!
This was surprisingly easy to learn and your note about any tempo being ok when playing this song helped ALOT! Thank you so much ❤
I love it, I'm new at learning piano and I want this one of the first songs to play, thanks
Really well done!
Thanks man! Glad you liked it
Hi! Wondering if you could share the sheet music for both the pieces! Would really appreciate it!
Of course! imgur.com/gallery/qWr3Uyu
Heres a link to a copy of the sheet music, but the sheet is automatically generated via the MIDI you see above! Formatting may not be perfect because of this, but hopefully between the sheets and the video, learning the piece should be a bit easier!
If you want to support this tutorial, sharing it to give it a bit more visibility is much appreciated, and as always thanks for watching!
@SageNineMusic could you send me the midi? I've subbed and I just want to put it into Synthesia to practice
you should do one of the other more simple song, which I believe is just called song on the beach. all the other tutorials seem to have wrong keys!
Song on the beach starts at 1:42. (I know Im 1 year late though)
Hi, i don't know if you still respond to requests but can I please have the music sheet? I would like to practice this during my spring break. Thanks!
Could you please send the sheet music. Please and thank you !!
I know that its a bit but where can I buy the music sheet?
Jesus Christ, Samantha would be proud...
Cheers!!!
Heey I really love this version! Can you send me the MIDI please?
I wish a tutorial for the pedals…
can you send me the sheet music please?
I want to have the sheet so bad
Where can I see the midi for this?
I can send it your way if you need!
All that is asked is that you credit this video wherever you end up using and it and sub!
Can I ask what youre planning to use it for?
@@SageNineMusic I just want to listen to it using a different vst in ableton it sound so good and im curious on how it could sound man
what’s the bpm? i’m trying to learn with a metronome because my timing is off 😅
The BPM is actually pretty variable over the course of the track! I tend to play it a little fast, but on average 100BPM is a good median. Its the little inflections in the tempo that makes it sound great tho!
Great tutorial, it really is well done, but can you help me? so there is a lot of tutorials for this song, so I don't know which one is more accurate like they all sound so different and have notes other dont, and its just odd, if anyone could give me any tips of what to do one thats either the most accurate or like something i could do to actually learn this song and stop questioning what to play.
Hey man, of course!
I ran into the same issue when I was learning this piece, which is why I made this tutorial.
Many other tutorials for this track especially take a lot of creative liberties with individual sections, while some tutorials are straight up incorrect.
That said, I've done my best to compile the correct parts of a few different tutorials, compared them to the original piece, and then used it to learn the full piece itself. The notation here should be as accurate as is reasonably possible, and is the exact notation used in my live performance of the piece
So, if I had to say, I'm pretty convinced this tutorial is the most accurate, only because I saw and corrected so many of the errors in the other videos currently available
@@SageNineMusic Thanks for the response! I barely saw this now, 9 months later, as i kind of took a break from trying this song as I thought I needed more general practice (which i did) and I am gonna try to learn it now from this tutorial, thanks again, hope all is well!
MAY I HAVE THE MIDI PLEASE?
Sure, but a little less caps lock pls - I can send it your way if you need!
All that is asked is that you credit this video wherever you end up using and it and sub!
Can I ask what youre planning to use it for?
@@SageNineMusic Of course, I will gladly give credit where credit is due. I just got a acoustic piano and bought synthesia and want to learn this piece so badly
Sir, may I have a small morsel of the MIDI please?
@@harrynilssonloveruwu9273 Well this is the same tech as synthesia though! If you're trying to learn the piece, this is gonna be your best resource!
@@SageNineMusic Please just give me the midi, I will do anything. UA-cams playback is terrible for practicing when compared to synthesia
