I've said it before, but this video reminds me that Elias Delbridge has got to be the closest singing banjo player to Ralph Stanley alive today. I'm glad because Ralph Stanley has got to be one of my all time favorites, so it's great to see Mr Delbridge keeping that spirit alive. So cool! Keep up the great work :)
@@eliasdelbridge Crazy, that's just regular clawhammer and drop thumb? Your rhythm is on point. I can only get that driving feeling from up-picking usually.
as long as dudes are still clawin in the pasture there is hope for America
damn brother you can wail and play. Damn damn damn damn
Mr Delbridge, I could listen to this all day and never get tired of it. Your old timey pickin is perfect……
Thanks for putting this back up!
What better way to start out the week than with some top flight clawhammer banjo music by a man that definitely knows how.
beautiful

My day is brighter every time you release a video. Your playing is just awesome! 😁
Absolutely brilliant, you’re a great banjo player with lots of gusto for your style.
Yes.
You up-pick a lot of these songs right? Gotta love that rythym. I've learned a couple just from watching you. love the content.
I actually drop thumb instead of up pick, but I think both sound the same.

Mate how do you get so fast and clean? Just got a Banjolele and been practicing, but it's tough as nails.
Just keep working on it man. You’ll eventually get to the point that picking fast will come easy.
Is that some funky tuning or something?
It’s called double C tuning
