If the squeaky sound persists after removing the insole, you can skip addressing the insole since the issue likely originates from the sole. Unfortunately, I still do not have a method to fix this problem.
My question is why does Nike make a shoe that makes it sound like garbage when walking? I can see it having this issue if you order it for Temu - I would expect that. It doesn't make a single bit of sense.
I'm glad this works! Exactly what I planned to do, but I was admittedly a bit nervous. I was going to use regular baby powder, but I'm picking up that powder you got. Great tip!
Dang I'm gonna try this. I just got the KD14's this week and the squeak is the loudest nike shoe I've ever worn. I wasn't sure what it was and hoping this is what it is? Have you heard of the KD 14's loud squeaking noise too?
All shoes with Zoom Strobels have the possibility to make that sound so I def think that’s a strong possibility. I have the 14s and mine don’t, but I’m sure they’re manufactured in different facilities and with different adhesives and stuff. Give it a shot and let me know if it works!
@@chllkckz4328 I went ahead and ordered a replacement after you said your KD 14’s don’t make the noise. They’re sending them next day so I should have them tomorrow. Hoping it was a manufacturing defect. I’ll keep you posted. Thanks for reply!
@@chllkckz4328 Good news! They sent me a drop shipped pair from Nike and it had a little noise at first but nothing like the first pair, and an hour later the noise left. Freakin love them now…now that I don’t have to hear myself walking 🚶🏻♂️ lol! Thanks for the help man!
Those trainers are dope!! I got a pair of airmax 2021s and they squeak. Too much plastic around the bubbles think I need to trim it?? Can't believe they make squeaky Nike's first pair that's ever squeaked/ crunched and I've had loads
I would look and see if you can identify exactly where the contact is occurring. If it looks extraneous, try to trim it. But be careful not to pop the airbag. I don’t have a pair of those so unfortunately I don’t know the specifics. If you find an issue and they are relatively new, you could reach out to Nike and see if they can help you out with an exchange or refund. Good luck!
Use the Army Way…use dryer sheets! Take out the sole, use the sole as a pattern and cut the dryer sheet using your sole as a pattern. Once done, place the dryer sheet into the shoe then place the sole ontop of the dryer sheet. There…automatic Squeak Less Shoes. No powder or lubricant needed.
I’m sure it works. And for causal wear it might be great. But for cutting back and fourth on a basketball court I’m not sure it would be the best idea.
My nike winflo 9 makes this kind of noise and i remove it’s insole so it’s just the sock and the midsole but sadly the noise was still there and probably the internal was messed up.
It depends which zoom bag it’s coming from. If it’s from the strobel, this will help. If it’s from the lower bag in the forefoot, this will very likely not help. Try to isolate the creak, this will tell you if should use this tip or try to return them.
So after watching a couple videos about this problem, I didn't have any foot powder, but I did have some CRC 2-26 spray lubricant and sprayed it in the back of the sneaker and got the same result, no squeak, but i'm not sure that I would want a chemical like that on the sole of my foot, but I'm going to try it for a while, my sneakers are Nike Air Monarch IV Men's Cross-Training Shoes and they have the same problem...LOL. I know, it is so embarrassing.
Hmmm. Lol that sounds scary. I have to imagine they smell bad with that spray. And yeah. It’s super embarrassing. Makes you not want to wear them at all.
After awhile and the sneakers become worn in you wont have to anymore. I own 5 different shoes with FL Zoom strobels and after time and becoming worn in it does start to go away. But at first when new the powder helped a lot.
Unless I’m mistaken there is a glued down insole. You can use a hairdryer or something similar to soften the glue and remove the insole. This will become more difficult (but is still possible) if they’ve been worn a lot. Once you get the heel portion up, insert your hand palm up and use your fingers to “push” up the insole bit by bit while still applying heat. Once the insole is removed you can utilize this same technique. Good luck!
I have some Nike SFB goreTex boots that this didn’t even work for. I’m mostly disappointed and frustrated because they’re goretex but the squeaking makes them unusable.
I’m sorry to hear that. From what I understand, unless I’m thinking of the wrong boot, they don’t have a Zoom Air strobel or any air at all. So this may not be the trick for those.
That’s okay if you’re using for casual wear, but I’m not sure how comfortable it will be. I guess it depends on the insoles how they mold to the air strobel. The factory insoles have the perfect cutout to fit around it perfectly. Regardless. Enjoy!

Glad to help! The powder works great to help with odors too 😅
I have this problem for my bred 11, I never knew this was a issue to other people as well thank you
This solution may not help with those because the air bag in those is enclosed and not directly under the insole. :/
Great fix. Was able to fix a loud squeak in my Nike Air that would not go away after i wore it in rain one day. Thank you for this wonderful solution.
Super glad it helped!

Same, not working. :(
Thanks for the video! My Terra Kigers were giving me the same squeak. That was a quick fix.

Do you know if this works on air monarchs
Not likely because the airbag is encased. You could try it but I wouldn’t have a lot of hope.
@@chllkckz4328 ok thank you
How long does this last before having to do it again?
Depends how often you wear them but typically at least a month or two, even with heavier wear.
@@chllkckz4328 I cut some thin cloth and stuck it to the bottom of the insoles, works well!

Helppp! How about for slippers that releases air noise (like it's deflating) whenever stepped on?
What kind of slippers?
Anyone has an idea how to get rid of the noise on air force 1 premium where you cant remove the insole?

Hey does anyone know another option before I go too the atore
What kind of options? If you mean the powder... Any foot powder should work, but I really do like the product shown in the video.
What Shoes are these?
Nike Cosmic Unity. I have a review of them you can check out if you go to my videos. Thanks for watching!
It still sqreaks
Please someone help me, It sounds like rubber boots
Try adding more. I put in quite a bit.
Pretty long video to just say "put some powder in it"
It’s literally 3 minutes and 30 seconds. If that’s “pretty long” to you I feel bad for your wife.
I just changed my insoles. It was the glue from the original insoles that were causing the nose.

I had to take the sole out of my kobes ( ran super tight on me ) now they squeak so much ! Any other ideas ?
Im just gonna use a paper towel. Kinda funny how cheap Walmart shoes don’t do this bs
Cool lookn shoe but the colors are horrible. Dude...
To each their own my friend. I have the original black and green colorway as well.
Should not have to fix a new pair of shoes. Never buy nike again. No problems like this with my new balance
worked for about a week or so, then back to squeaking....reapplied powder and had no effect.
Try adding some more. 🤷🏻♂️
HERE IS A FREE FIX.......BUY SOMETHING OTHER THAN NIKE.
Thanks. Very helpful.
