- How to change iRobot Roomba Wheels Series 500 600 700 800 900 i7 e5 e6. Tires, cover, rubber for iRobot Roomba wheels, improved material, anti-wear, does not deform, does not need to be fixed with glue.
Made in Europe, Original Bakuum Tires
--------------------------------------
Step 1
Remove the wheel from the robot vacuum cleaner, unscrew the bottom cover of the iRobot and then the wheel, once both wheels have been removed, proceed to step 2.
Step 2
Remove the worn tire from the wheel module. Then with a flat-blade screwdriver or similar object, insert it between the rubber to be removed and the plastic, then pull the tire and the points that join it with the wheel will be unhooked.
OPTIONAL: With a dryer or stripper, apply heat to the tire area (BEWARE OF GOING OVER) this will expand the rubber and make it easier to remove.
Step 3
Place the tire on the diameter of the wheel and apply pressure to properly seat the tire in the place of the removed rubber.
Step 4
Put the wheels back on the robot.
Once the tires are changed, mount them by performing the reverse procedure in step 1 and your Roomba is ready to roll again.

May your place in repair heaven forever be held by this glorious simplified wheel tread repair tutorial. Bless you
That wasn't as easy as I thought it would be but worth it. I suspect they don't want us doing this, but rather we buy the whole wheel, from them.
Thanks!
Thank you!!!! I couldn't afford to replace my roomba, but this helped me replace the treads all by myself!
This was so helpful! The Maid runs like new now!
Thanks!
haha!
I did this today! Way cheaper and less wasteful than than the whole module.
Thanks!
@@bakuum_ thank YoU!
@@bakuum_ what series is the model in the video?
@@triggerguy8405 a 800-900 model
Great video and simple instructions I was able to change the tires in about 15 minutes and I appreciate you making this video.
Yep that's just how I did it, FYI, after removing the battery cover, you can leave the battery in place e so you don't have to reprogram your roomba, I know, everyone says to disconnect the electrical power but there is no exposed connection that will give you a shock
You had no treads left on those tires. Looks like drag race car tires. Lol.
Thanks for the video, I was able to change mine.
Awesome! Worked perfectly.
Great job not only on the video but on making a quality product -- thanks!
Thank you very much for your comment!, we are very grateful to know that our customers are satisfied. Our product is manufactured with the best materials to prevent them from deteriorating
This was helpful. The music is inspiring 😛. Thank you.
Bardzo pomocny film 👍
Thanks so much for this!!!!
Easy straight forward video. Thanks
Thank you very much, that is what we intend with the tutorial
worked for me!
How on earth they get so worn? I had my Roomba for years, and tires just keep on looking the same.
I had wooden floors though. I suppose its stone floors etc that can do this?
thanks, super helpful!
Your welcome!
Thank you for this
I want Michelin tires for my Roomba S9+, preferably Pilot Sport AS4.
Thank you
I got my new tires on the s9+ wheels. You are right. It wasn't easy. Any tips on how to reconnect the springs??? It's all dressed up with nowhere to go.
We still do not have a video on how to change the tires of roomba s9, sorry, we hope our product meets your perspectives
@@bakuum_ I was able to get the second tire on without releasing the spring. It just takes a little longer and it’s easier to do with a warm tire. They are more flexible that way.
@@Zorro127127 We take note, and we hope soon to have the video for that robot, very kind!
@@Zorro127127 how tho??
The old tread was not easy to take off for me. I stopped. It was coming off in stretchy itty bitty pieces. I wish this was easier.
Same here. I'm going to try and loosen the adhesive with a heat gun but otherwise I think I'll have to buy the whole wheel well replacement
Thanks so much!!👍
Many thanks to you, we hope our product meets your prospects
No glue needed? The original one are glued though
Good morning, our product does not need glue or any fastening point as the original has, if you wish you can apply it, but our tires do not deform over time, so there would be no problem of it coming off the wheel .
It seems like the tires could be removed without removing the wheel assembly. Is it necessary to remove the assembly?
Hello, we recommend removing the module from the wheel, since this is a simpler process and we avoid forcing the wheel to place the tire and causing future damage.
The instructions on S9 +
What surface is it cleaning that you used that much tire tread?
I dont know but our roomba 980 we have had since about 2018 and the right wheel is soooo worn out, like i could probably peel it off by hand if i tried, and the other wheel is still sorta fine.. no clue but it does navigate on out hard wood floor so maybe all the pivoting in place and turning wore it out on one side..
Being a woman, it would have helped to go a little slower?
