the other three were asking to change the product and pricing and telling them to bear losses initially, they believed in their product and pricing and made the right decision.

for everyone saying they made a mistake, they did not. the trio was asking them to reduce the selling price to 500 which was wayyyyy below their current cost of making the product. they wanted to convert that into a subscription based product which was not the founders' vision. additionally, they were asking them to bear losses initially. in short, they were asking to completely alter the product. they were suggesting complete changes in their product and pricing whereas aman and namita knew that the product and pricing was actually reasonable (given that it would later reduce to 3000). so I believe, they made the right decision.

I guess shark's should have proper knowledge or they should not react like these "uff 5000"......a normal headgear ranges from 1500-3000 .... And it is a smart headgear it will cost more than a normal.... And 5k is very reasonable as if we talk about watches..... A good brand like fasttrack earlier use to cost 1k-1.5k but now as smart watches have arrived it ranges 3.5k to 5k normally so how the sharks cant accept for helmets

Watches ranging above 1.5k have little low market(TAM) and if we talk about 10k+ Rs. For watch it's for upper middle class or high class, so as the price increases the market size decreases

I think the the price of the helmet(5000 Rs) was reasonable because today the Steelbird helmets which are simple designed comes in the price of 1500-2000 Rs but these helmets are loaded with full security features and technology, so the price is worthy.
Also they said that they will try to reduce it to 3000 Rs. then these are the best, customers will purchase these helmets blindly.

Most of the accidents happen because people don’t wear helmets. If people were to wear Altor’s helmet wouldn’t they have worn other helmets?!?
bro people still get injured pretty bad even after wearing helmet, it may protect their heads but you can get injured on limbs as well, if you lose a lot of blood you will be unconscious and would not be able to ask for help, so I think this product is usefull in that situation

A Good and Safe Helmet is costing around 1200-1500 in CSD canteen. 500 wala are the cheap ones, in which people lost lives not because of accident but because of bad helmet. Whats wrong in 5000 . And if bought to 3000... that would be great pricing.

There’s crash detection feature in iPhone and I’m not sure about Android. A person may or may not wear a helmet but he sure carries his phone in his pocket and it can do same work as this helmet. Then what’s the value that this product can bring.
I think you are one of those guys who only wears a helmet because its a law and you may get caught by authorities and not because it is safe for you.

bro, u rightly pointed that out, however remember that iPhone or other devices use the g-force method in which they calculate crash detection through the change in speeds. If there is a sudden change in the speed, only then it can detect. however for bikes, where collisions are done at low speeds, iPhone won't work. The helmets will because there sensors use physical sensors that detect pressure. Hope I clear the confusion.
Not everybody ( 95% ) of our Indian population is that rich to have iPhone , or Pixel. "Paisa hi to saari dikkat hai! " Hope Android brings devs make something similar in cheap price

it’s a problematic product my reasons are -:
1. It is easier to carry a helmet with its strap fastened and in this case the helmet shall be considered to be worn and as per the demonstration the force used to trigger a response is very minimal then in this case suppose while carrying a helmet holding on to the fastened strap you drop it then a hoax sos will be sent automatically
2. Feedback mechanism is just useless as driving is a skill that is deeply attached to an individual’s ego in this case the feedback given by an AI or program will not be well received by the user and it will be most likely ignored
I think the force required to trigger it should be a little higher, but they do have cancelation feature, u can just simply cancel the trigger.
The second point is the fault of the rider. The company is providing advice, if the customers ignore it, they will face consequences
