OMG guys. You're drowning in comments but you still have to hear me out : your work was so good across these three shorts. I'm so impressed. I dabble in 3D enough myself to know the crazy work that went in there. Extra props for the animation and story-boarding considering how much emotion was conveyed without a single word. I LOVE IT I LOVE IT.

Why was this better than 90% of movies made last year?
And thus in the wake of this tragedy, we have implemented stronger safety features to prevent the reactor from overloading under any circumstances. Hopefully this will prevent such a terrible event from occurring again...
- A well-meaning engineer, having no way of knowing that overloading the reactor was a deliberate act of self-sacrifice.
The fact that someone made a fully-fledged miniseries about something that's just a meme for some with better CGI than some contemporary movies is truly beautiful to me.

CGI is only ever bad because it's usually mixed with real life actors. Having a direct comparison of what's real and what isn't makes even the best CGI obvious.

i was thinking blue would escape, ship would detonate, then something hatches inside him and bursts out.
This mini series was really good. Great animation, and you conveyed emotion really well for characters w/out faces.
If I were to nitpick you do have a continuity issue. In the first episode Black ( I think) pulls the knife out of Blue in a desperate bid to arm himself. The knife is bloodless. Which makes sense and is good foreshadowing, because it explains how Blue is alive here, clearly he was just knocked out and the knife didn't hit anything vital.
However here we see Blue take the knife out when he wakes up. Which shouldn't be possible as it was already removed.
Each video could take place in an alternate universe, since Red isn't in the same hallway as Blue here, while it is in #1, but it's probably that 3D Print Guy just didn't know what the end of the series would look like over a year in advance.
@@eldonm2770 OH to be sure. I'm sure he meant it as a one off and had no idea the popularity would inspire 2 sequels. And even movies make mistakes like this even though they have people whose job it is, is to find these things.
Yeah I noticed that same thing.
I think the first one was a different ship. I might be wrong but red's body isn't nearby when blue wakes up and the knife is still there even though in the first short we saw green take then drop the knife.
In the first episode, Black pulls out the knife out of PURPLE not blue, you have to stop the first video at that timestamp to see it
This makes me wish there was a full-length Among Us movie. I would genuinely want to watch this in theaters.

I like how every sci-fi spaceship somehow has a "destory the whole damn ship" feature.
All spaceships in real life have an automatic self destruct feature aswell. you can observe these in the SpaceX orbital booster tests. SpaceX had to initiate self destruct on one of it's falcon 9s because of a faulty sensor and couldn't risk it falling to the earth at the wrong place. even old satellites have self destruct features.
Pretty sure maned spaceships don't have this Feature irl.
@@zagreus5773 I would assume they do since the loss of the crew could potentially outweigh the loss created by an entire spaceship crashing into a populated area. I don't know for sure but it seems like a smart thing to add onto anything that could potentially kill hundreds or thousands of people if something were to go wrong.
Every space-ship is a weapon of mass destruction, anything large enough falling fast enough would have devastating and adverse affects on the entire planet. Self-destruct features are practically a necessity for large space ships.
@@zagreus5773 Manned space ships will eject the crew capsule and self distruct all other systems. Dragon capsules have high powered thrusters to launch it as far away from the main module. All NASA rockets have a singular solid rocket booster on top of their crew capsules to seperate them from the main booster/rocket when it explodes or self distructs.
This is inspiring and aspirational goals for beginner animators like myself, your skill is second to none and I dream of being able to animate as good as you one day! So so good, may you never stop producing these masterpieces!

At 3:25 it can be seen on the photo that Blue seems to have been closest with Black (they are kinda leaning onto each other showing close relationship) which makes the ending extra sad since the the thing was exclusively impersonating Black.
Which also means the impostor killed him and replaced him

The sacrifice of Jesus, from a Trinitarian Christian perspective, is hard to understand. What exactly DIED on the cross? It can’t be God, as God is immortal and is in eternal bliss; He cannot suffer like humans do. So the thing that died on the cross can only be the human body that God is said to have inhabited for around 30 years on earth. It was a human body created by God, which was allowed to die on the cross. So what was the sacrifice? God never lost His life. He always had it and will always have it.

Well think about it, the imposters win bye having the same number of crew mates as them. So the last remaining crew mates thank about their friends before they die. So that made the game a hole lot more depressing
Blue at first episode: "stabbed"
Blue at third episode: "yeah it just hurt a bit but its ok"
And the imposter apparently put the knife back in Blue between episodes.

@@jeffumbach Part 2 was a prequel to part 1.
@@diddlypoop4722 one of the other crewmates pulled out the knife before blue woke up in episode one so in this episode it would only make sense for the knife to also not be in blue's neck, it's only a minor plot hole nothing too serious

what's truly sad is if you think about it, just based on that picture alone, all the crewmates were good friends, obviously they would have to be good friends to take a group picture together, and for it to be old enough that the picture's fold points are visible as 'white lines', meaning the photo was old enough to show visible signs of wear, and that they were all still together means they were a close group, close enough to be willing to work together for that long and not leave.
The fact that the imposter could turn their friendships against each other, to the point where they start accusing each other, to his benefit and advantage (orange starts blaming cyan while Green tries to calm them down) can't be underestimated, and he exploits that advantage HEAVILY.
He makes them turn on each other, pushes their friendships past breaking point to where they start killing each other, and even though Cyan is betrayed and ejected, when he sees who the 'real' imposter is, he tries 'everything' in his power to save them, leave a message. I don't think it was 'intended' but Cyan did leave a message when in part 2 he cracks the glass, sure they could say he was desperate to survive, but the previous 2 who vote him out he's just there pleading and trying to convince them he's innocent. But with the '3rd', he is desperate to stop him, maybe he wont live but he's damn well going to try his hardest to stop his friends from being killed if possible.
So blue, seeing his friends all dead, seeing the 'imposter' that wore his friend's face/suit, he knows he cant survive so he just pulls out that one picture, tries to remember the 'good days', when they were friends, alive, and a 'crew' together, before he pushes the trigger, and when he looks up at the ceiling it's his way of saying 'I'm coming buddies, see you soon...'

I love how this can actually become a good game where you wake up, run from the monster, do missions such as seeing if there is anybody left or fixing something or even grabbing the tablet that blue found that could in fact have *a sonar ability* then you devise a plan to destroy the ship and in the end you could get a good ending and a bad ending and maybe a secret ending
The good ending is destroying the ship and saving humanity
Or the other ending where you don’t destroy the ship and bring havoc among earth AND POSSIBLY
*BRING A SEQUEL*
Btw if you are reading this and you are a game dev go ahead and see if you can make this *a reality*
Would be cool to add some different types of game modes that included a Escape Pod mechanic (select the wrong cremated to use escape Pod, imposter makes it to earth, cremated loose), a growth and spawn mechainic for the imposter

It's actually more realistic, because in space there's no air, thus, there's no sound. And the fact that's there's no fire at all makes it even more realistic, since there can't be fire in space too. It's so well made.
NASA scientist experimented explosions in an isolation chamber in vacuum of space. Their observations is that there is no sound produced, fire or sparks

In seriousness tho, wouldn't real-life "explosions" look more like clouds of debris (like in Gravity) or clouds of dust (like real grenade explosions) ?

I love the attention to detail in machine automation. The escape pod refuses to launch due to detecting a breach in the glass which shows us that you put so much thought into this that you even added realistic safety features.
@@lokadttok5045 The machine doesn’t know that the person is or isn’t in a suit that is capable of EVA, therefore the machine relies on information it does receive through its sensors.
