Thank You for this. I followed the video and was able to repair ours as well. For the people wondering where to get the fuse. I used appliance part pros. put in model number from barcode inside dryer door and part was delivered in 48 hours. Happy wife, happy life
How did you know it was the thermo fuse that needed replacement? How did you test it? Was it the first thing you tested? What else should be tested for diagnostic? I have same problem with same dryer but need to know what to test first. Thanks
This is the most clear and concise video. (I watched several beforehand that were neither!) It helped me fix my dryer for only $5! Thank you, Pappy Mike!
This repair of the fuse also works for the Maytag Elite Series He5 dryers, just another brand using the exact same parts and inside design for the heating and blower mechanics and electronics. Just replaced the thermal fuse following the video and it worked like a charm! Thanks for the video instruction.
I replaced the Dryer Thermal Fuse and the Dryer Thermistor right next to it and dryer problems fix in 10 mins! Great How to video! Big thumbs up! (HE5t gas dryer) I bought both off Amazon under $20! Thanks!
PS. Would love a tip on how to disassemble the fan for better cleaning deep into the body, especially the chamber that exhausts, most videos stop at this same stage, having cleaned lint from just the front end and then focusing on the fuses.
Thank you very much for the video. I got my dryer fixed by doing what you said. You had save me a lot of money also I am sure your video help other people too.
Wish I would have seen this before taking off the back of the dryer. It was completely choked with lint so, I guess it works out. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for this video. I was making great progress until I hit the actual thermal fuse. You didn't show us how to remove the actual screw. The space is so tight that a drill or manual tool is difficult to use. How do you remove it?
In my case, I used an adjustable plier (channel lock plier?) to loosen the screw, then removed it by hand. Just the slightest of a twist is all it took. Having the right-sized socket wrench would have been the easiest path, though. As the dryer gets older, the fuse seems to be blowing out more frequently. Always have a spare at hand. 😃
On the dryer that I’m fixing the fuse doesn’t conduct electricity through it. But, when I by passed the fuse the motor turned on but then turned off in a couple seconds. Does that mean that I have a bad thermal fuse AND a bad motor?
Dude in my opinion you have another problem that u need to address , you fixed the ( no heat ) issue in your dryer but you did not fixed what caused the thermal fuse to blew ... That dryer needs to be completely taken apart , cleaned real good and clean your exhaust vent system ... Thats a fire hazard waiting to happen
Thumbs down because how do I know that I need to replace the thermal fuse??? You didnt show it not working and at the end you did not show us it working (flame on)!! I am just as lost after your video as before I saw it.
I made that comment more then a month ago, it took you that long to get back to me? I found the information I needed an hour later in a more informative video on UA-cam made by someone who knows how to explain what problem the machine has & how to fix it and show it working.

Great video. Worked perfectly. Repair person wanted $155 just to come to the house. I fixed it with the $5 part in this video and 30 minutes of work.

I was thinking the same thing. I should've watched this first AND wore a Darth Vader-like face mask.
Honestly great video. Not sure if it’s what is wrong with my dryer, but definitely starting there. Thanks!

I’m with you on that. I was feeling all hopeful and then BAM: “the magic of editing.” 😡
Thanks. That was very clearly, safely and calmly explained.
THANK YOU!!
Also note, this tutorial worked perfectly for my Kenmore HE 5.
Saved my a bunch of money!
Thanks again
I also just ordered the fuse on Amazon, next day shipping, $10. Part number is written right on the fuse for simple ordering.
Thanks for the video , it was most helpful than the rest .
Gracias, me fue muy útil, lo esplico muy bien 😁
Thank you saved me from buying a new dryer!!!!
They added that fuse or whatever in the 80's, I believe, so they get the service-call at sears. I just bypass them.
Thanks for this video. What are the tools I need to purchase to do this repair?
great on changing fuse but nothing on how to get everything reinstalled in the dryer. somewhat difficult in my experience
Love your video. Can you tell me where I can get a thermal fuse. Thank you
I have heat from my HE4 but only on certain settings, would this be the fuse or thermostat or element?
Thank you very much!!! Can I know what is the part number? Thank you
Great video thank you. Where did you get your thermo fuse?
I was wondering if my issue is similar to this. The burner does turn on but won't stay on. Once it is off it stays off.

Where did you buy the thermal fuse ? Home depot ?

I have HE5 dryer. I removed the 2 crews, but still can't remove the panel. Please help. Thank you.
Hung Nguyen I too have an He5 dryer. Ours has more screws. The front panel has 4 i think and the blower cover has 4 or 5.
@@jcmoney23 Thanks JC. After I asked the question, I looked under the panel and saw another 2 screws, removed those and took panel off.
But did the fuse fix the issue?

You DID NOT show how you removed the thermal fuse. Since this is an important step in replacing it your video isn't helpful at all! Thumbs down....
