Why someone will want to save Rs.100, and sit in a congested place, yes features you get but still place is congested.....I don't think at all that Rs.100 extra will matter. Atleast fare difference should be around 250-400, then it can be a hit coach!!
Although I agree, but during festive seasons like diwali, the extra seats will be more helpful for commuters. The price difference isn't substantial, but the extra seats might be helpful during rush seasons.

The price difference isn't good enough, but given how much the third ac is in demand nowadays, having more berths per coach will help in clearing the waitlist. Although not much of a difference still, but for a person who gets his ticket cleared because of the extra seats, without spending much for tatkal, it's still not a deal breaker.

I have also travelled by 3ACe. The coaches are good but lack of bedsheet and pillows is a big minus. After all you cannot expect passengers to pack bedsheets, when you are trying to travel light. Also you cannot expect a person to travel in a chilled AC coach without bedsheets. Kulfi jam jaayegi Bhai 😀

3AC Economy has been introduced to make people aware and habitual, who are travelling in SL. Indian Railways plan to stop producing NON AC coaches (especially from overnight trains) from 2023-24. Fully AC trains accelerate faster than Non AC or combined trains, as air drag is very less. The only thing that goes against is the fare, as it should be a little higher than SL, instead, they are promoting as lower than Third AC, which is again an illusion. Also, AC coaches will help to do away with unwanted nuisance at the platforms as well.
