    Nothing in the manual!!! How do you align the blade to the meter slot (adjust the blade alignment) ?

      I don’t know if you may have figured it out since you said this, but I’ll try to help you out if possible. I’ve never owned this table saw but there tends to be an arrow on the scale that has a screw that you can adjust. You need to have the saw unplugged and put a speed square 📐 (anything 90 degrees) against the blade and the table. Adjust the blade angle until you can’t see any light through any part of where the square object meets the table and blade. Once the angle is square, you can loosen the screw that holds the arrow on the scale and point it at ‘0’. Tighten the screw back up and you are done. Hope this helps! Take care man.

    Dude, you say you have been in the business for years, but have absolutely no safety knowledge on how to use a table saw. People like you are the reason they now have a full 1 year class on safety for tools even though safety should be common sense and should NOT take a year to learn. Thanks for waisting a year of my life that should be common knowledge/sense (and shouldn't take a year) to know safety. I guess they had to make the course this long because of people like you. Sigh.

    I could be wrong, but it seems like if you don't have a stand you should sit or kneel to operate at the saw's level.
    Guy's leaning way over the saw and one knot could cause the thing to buck, he loses his balance, and falls right into the blade.

    • @beardhut2934
      @beardhut2934  4 роки тому

      Yeah a saw can kick back hard. It can cut knots fine, but a twist in a board from a knot can pinch the blade the real danger is not feeding the board straight. Im not the right guy for running a safety class lol

    This is a great saw. I just got one this week. The only downsides are: There is no storage for the miter gauge, it didn't come with a stand and it only has a 90 day warranty. Hopefully it won't break after one year.

    Can anyone confirm if this saw has metal or plastic gears in the mechanism to raise/lower the blade? I've read that most of the portable table saws have plastic gears that tend to break or lose teeth easily.

    • @jimwiskus8862

      I would try putting a little forward pressure up against the rail to be sure you have full contact with the rail, then lock it down. I had a DeWalt that was the same thing. That took care of it for me.

    You had a perfectly good table sitting right there and yet you chose to hang your body over the top of the saw blade. Stupid. Loose your balance and end up with a saw blade in your face or gut. I'm surprised Hazard Fraught features this travesty on their page for this saw.

      Same here bro. I run my own business and transitioned from Dewalt to Ryobi. They are cheaper I can afford more tools and I don’t have to worry about mixing my tools up with other contractors. And guess what they work just fine and they are mine so I take care of them. I don’t how they would hold up to hard abuse but June are good and I don’t baby them. I especially love the Nail guns. I got rid of my bulky compressors.

    This guy is hilarious. At first I had no idea it was a comedy. I'm still debating on my favorite part. I love when he's referring to the miter gauge for making cross cuts and says to "turn this little knobby thingy." Of course it was also funny when he said, "Let's see if I can do this with one hand", especially after disabling the safety features. I was waiting for the board to fly back and smack him in the face. And with him using the saw on the ground I thought the "colonial house" board was going to kick back and nail him in the twig and berries. But when he cut the curvy piece and managed to get it nice and square, that's when I realized this was no comedy, it's a magic show. No crosscut sled for this guy. I'll give it to him though, he did end up with some square cuts it would seem. If it's worth time to make a video about a table saw perhaps it's worth taking the time to watch a few videos on the basics of a table saw, the associated terminology, and how to use one properly and safely. Remember, when you're using a table saw, secure the saw and follow all safety procedures. And for God's sake, don't stand directly behind the blade especially without using any anti-kickback pawls on the riving knife while using a new and untested, lesser known brand of saw. Because new blade or not, it will cut your damn fingers off and could kick back a board fast and hard. And if cutting thin stock without a zero clearance throat plate, a snag piece of wood will scare the shit out of you. Now all of that said, I got to admit the saw does have some nice features. And there's another table saw of the same brand that has a rip fence which is adjusted by turning a dial. In addition, everything can be easily calibrated from what I have seen. I have no knowledge though in regards to its durability. I do believe I'm going to try one out. Perhaps I'll make a video after some time using one. I mean apparently anyone can do it.
