☕️❤ so kind of you, Dustin. I’ve been watching you for so long and I adore you. Just like Trish helped you with hard times you’ve done the same for me. Any interaction (though short) with you has been very heart warming. I am an artist and made you and Nick art and hope to one day share with you. Thank you ❤
So my dad grew up in an ultra strict Mormon family in the 60’s, he’s the oldest of 9 kids, & his dad traveled a lot throughout their entire childhoods. Basically my sweet grandma raised them all solo while he was on the road. It worked out well for them because he became very wealthy and they lived well and comfortably in their retirement & he was very respected and higher up in the church in their area. My grandpa passed in 2019, about a year later my dad did a big serious family call with all my siblings one night and told us he’d done a ancestry DNA test out of curiosity. He had found a match for a sibling and this guy reaches out and says he thinks he’s his half-brother just a few years younger than him. It was this huge ordeal in our enormous mormon family that our respected grandfather had had an affair on his work trips. & my grandma was really hurt but was literally so sweet & invited him and his family to thanksgiving that year despite everything. Instant family. So my new uncle told him how he was raised by a man he believed to be his father but was always treated worse than his siblings and never understood why. His mom was in bad mental health in her old age and was never able to answer questions once he found out the truth. So there’s a lot of unanswered questions that we’ll never really know. My grandma just passed in September and on her deathbed she admitted that she had known about the affair but my grandpa confessed soon after it happened and swore it was only once & he took steps to repent and make it right. But neither of them ever knew that he had another son. So on a positive note, my uncle who never felt like he belonged discovered he had this enormous family and after 50+ years finally has found this connection he always felt was missing in his life. And it’s crazy because he looks more like my grandfather than any of my other uncles!
@@dustindaileyeven sadder chapter of their life is my grandma was full term pregnant with my dad, had a 2-year old boy who had figured out the lock on the front door and snuck out while she was napping. He had fallen in the neighbor’s pond and drowned before she even realized he was missing. She gave birth to my dad the very next day while still in shock and grieving the loss of her firstborn child. I grew up with so much love and respect for the strength that woman had for surviving that & still raising so many more amazing humans. I genuinely can’t even imagine surviving that. She was the most amazing woman I’ve ever known!
Wow. What a story. The whole …oh idk… first 4/5ths of it, I could’ve sworn i wad reading a first hand relatives perspective of this case where the grandfather (pretty sure also Mormon with tons of children) was found out to be living a double life after he’d passed away I believe (I heard it a lonnng time ago, okay? 😂), he had a literal TWO families, like whole mf families. Homes. Sets of children. Wives. LIVES. Wild how many like it I’ve heard at this point. Cc Suarez - the creator, also has one similar. Her grandfather, of Florida, was also kinda doing the same thing. Had news stories on him and everything. Crazy.
This story turned out way more wholesome than I expected. I'm ex-Mo, so it's fair to say I've seen the darker side of religion. Your family handled the news way better than I expected.
So my brother has a friend who had always thought of himself as a proud Italian. That being his dad’s side. He gets a dna test on prime day last October and finds out he has no Italian whatsoever in his dna. Long story short, he finds out “dad” isn’t dad but the other guy his mom was seeing at the time and she knowingly lied. He had actually been in school with a few half-siblings with neither half knowing. And that instead of being Italian he is actually Native American! Said it was the best and worst thing he’s bought on Amazon.
It's a false result and he is Italian. 😂 On market DNA tests can't account for First Nations DNA. I'm from the largest pheno type and connected family, the closest my family could get is Mexico Spain and Philippines and Doitch. 😅.
The T&C tells you it's just a party game and DNA collection. The results can change without notice. Also being ethnic first nations and 1 drop bc your family fetishizes us doesn't make you indigenous 😂
Dustin, I just wanted you to know that you’ve got me through probably one of the worst years of my life. Thank you, my friend 🤗🥰💚 I would love to hear your story and I'm so ready to hear this story.
I found out one of my past grandfathers from the 1700 was a family annihilator. He killed his 5 children, wife, and two farm hands by poisoning the well on his farm. He killed the two as a cover story so he could tell the police that his well just became toxic out of no where. He was arrested and there was a whole trial. My grandfather researched the trial and managed to find the trial manuscripts. They are very interesting and I appreciate all the my grandpa put into finding these court documents and researching our family genealogy.
@@dustindailey I was fascinated when my grandpa told me the story. I didn’t mention because I didn’t want the comment to be too long but in the trial they only found him guilty of manslaughter because they said he knew the well wasn’t safe to drink but due to the forensic limitation of the time they weren’t able to prove he was reason it wasn’t safe to drink. He served 5 years in prison.
I found out that a girl I went to high school with was my cousin because of 23andMe and let me tell you my uncle was PISSED that the secret he’d been keeping for 30 YEARS was exposed

As someone who is a GG, was married in 1997, I can tell you back in the late 90s you had the opportunity to go drop your baby off at a fire department or a police department maybe the hospital in some states. This lady that is getting sentencing next month deserves the damn book thrown at her! I’m a former deputy and I could never imagine something like that happening in the family. I grew up in. My parents are no longer with me, but I have no dirty, dark secrets that would shock the living hell out of my children!
Not true crime, but I do have a 🧬 DNA cold case that was solved in my family. My Grandma's brother went missing during WWI, as a supply pilot. His plane went missing. In the 80s the crash site was discovered and he got filed away waiting for technology to advance. In the 00s they took my Grandma and her surviving brother's DNA samples and eventually they identified him and after 65 years he had a funeral with only one surviving relative who knew him in life.
None of us were allowed to discuss the results of any of these DNA tests while my grandma was living. So that comment you made about old people, even though you said you were being facetious, was right. 😂

Not a true crime story but in 2021 I went to ancestry and started my family tree. Not long after I started adding people for my family tree I got a message from a lady explaining that her aunt received her original birth certificate (they always knew she was adopted) and that someone from my family tree was listed as her birth parents. Come to find out she was apart of the 60s scoop where the government took away indigenous babies from their families and placed them with adoptive parents. I connected the lady with her brother’s daughters as her brother was the only one I knew from that side of the family.
Hey… you should get the case files and let’s follow this through the trial. That would be cool, especially since it’s not a case that every YT’r isn’t cramming in our screens 22 hours a day. 🧬
My brother's wife (sis-in-law) did Ancestry, and found she has a half brother. So nothing too crazy, just a baby her mother gave up in between having her and her sister.😵💫
My good friend at 50 found out her dad wasn't her dad. Found her dad and her brother. Dad didn't know about either of them. Her mom and dad (not her bio dad) were extremely abusive to her growing up, but no one else. This turned out to be the reason why. Resentment she existed and was living proof of what her Mom did.
That’s so fcking sad. I’m happy for her that she found her bio dad and brother. I hope she is happy! Such trash people to abuse an innocent child for a grown woman’s choice.
My grandfather with dementia , who I live above right now had a few illegitimate kids. He was a marine not okay but very common. One kid is down in the Virgin Islands, one in Florida, and one who was adopted by a woman that lives only 40 minutes away from us. My grandfather wasn’t the best father, he kinda dipped and remarried a few times. When my older sister did ancestry and 23 and me, and we found out about all the relatives most of us were interested, grandpa doesn’t really remember anything, can’t remember to eat most days-but the son we did meet looks just like him. Similar laugh and mannerisms too. My uncle wasn’t happy about us “digging around” I think he didn’t want the image of his father tainted, but there wasn’t much of an image to begin with. Lived on the west coast most of my life, only moved back home cause his 4th wife died and her kids didn’t want to take care of him, plus he abandoned them when he was about 3, only showed up once a year to give my grandma money and tell her to stop calling his wife.
DNA tests can be a blessing and a curse…I found out my dad I grew up thinking was my dad wasn’t and another man who was killed in a work accident when I was 4-5 was. I also had a half sister. My mom knew all along but abandoned me at birth.
I did a dna test and I’m related to ExPres. McKinnley and Aubrey Hepburn. Also, my ancestry was so unusual. I could not believe some of the places my ancestors are from. I was excited honestly.
I used to watch Sloan and spill sesh but after my cousin said that dustin is better and has a better way of speaking .. she’s right I like this channel and will continue to keep up with his content
I am so fascinated with DNA forensics and if I had time, money, and patience I would so go back to school to study it. I also uploaded my DND to GED match because if my relative is hiding some horrible crime then I'm sorry you need to be caught. The boy in the box cold case was another solved by DNA. So it's not just murders they can solve and it's amazing and seriously I encourage everyone to upload to GED match
LOL Well, I guess it's up to you whether you want to share your story or not. I just thought it would be interesting to hear because I have never done any of those tests. I know someone who did a DNA Kit and found out that their dad .. was not their dad. No crimes but by the time he found out his mom already passed but was lucky enough to be accepted into his bio dad’s family - they had no idea until the test.
Yes that is how they caught the golden state killer. I believe it came back to a relative of his son, or something showing similar DNA, so then they went and got I think stuff from his trash to test the Golden State killer's DNA with and it was a match. It was something like that, but yes, you're right.
Yikessssss. My grandfather was a polish/russian Jew, my aunt took an ancestry test and none of that came back in her results which told us my grandfather wasnt her biological father. It completely ruined her and she tried to self cancel but thankfully survived. Fucked my family up for years. I’m just grateful he passed before it came out and he never had to find out.
I loved her skits with Moses. I laugh every time I think about the scene where is sets herself on fire at the gas pumps. Fat Sajak reacted to that video and I laughed farted at it

A dear friend of mine found out through DNA testing that her father was not in fact her father. They were getting her tested to qualify her for his indigenous tax exemptions/card, and then her mom had to come clean about having an affair and that she wasn’t related to her dad at all. It really rocked their world but have remained a family.
Dustin I sent you a message on IG earlier today. Not over anything important just to share a question I had that crossed my mind about 2 particularly OG UA-camrs and I didn’t want to post on here because of the fear of receiving some unnecessary smoke🤣🤣🤣
I have a dna test story 😅 Little back story, I got it for Christmas from my mom and her parents were extremely racist. They were at the age where my grandma went to school when they ended segregation. We weren’t close because of their views but my whole life, we had been told about my grandmas grandpa being full “Cherokee.” How he wore his hair in two long braids, about how “unique” his hair was and how dark his skin was……he was not at all Cherokee...🤣 Don’t have a single percent of Cherokee in my blood. He was 100% African American. She went to her grave never knowing.
The crossover I didn't know I needed. I know that area is where we spent our summers growing up. P.S. always be suspicious everything is a scam. Always question everything. Literally, everything.

I found out some crazy shit about my adoption after my mom passed. I will say this as it is a long story my whole life was a lie.
omg that’s awful! i was adopted and my story is kind of the same 💚💚
💚💚💚💚
I did a dna test and I’m related to ExPres. McKinnley and Aubrey Hepburn. Also, my ancestry was so unusual. I could not believe some of the places my ancestors are from. I was excited honestly.
A Trisha Paytas "What do you meme game" would actually be pretty funny and fun. Good for you for supporting her. Xo
Keep us updated as a child of a cold case murder that is almost 30yrs old I need to know 🧬
omg i’m so sorry, i sure will 🧬🧬🧬
I used to watch Sloan and spill sesh but after my cousin said that dustin is better and has a better way of speaking .. she’s right I like this channel and will continue to keep up with his content
I love your content!! You and Nick are amazing!!
You’re so kind, thank you 💚💚💚
I am so fascinated with DNA forensics and if I had time, money, and patience I would so go back to school to study it. I also uploaded my DND to GED match because if my relative is hiding some horrible crime then I'm sorry you need to be caught. The boy in the box cold case was another solved by DNA. So it's not just murders they can solve and it's amazing and seriously I encourage everyone to upload to GED match
First timer here.Would love to hear your experience with 23 and me and Ancestry. Very interesting video!
it involves A LOT of foolishness lol
LOL Well, I guess it's up to you whether you want to share your story or not. I just thought it would be interesting to hear because I have never done any of those tests. I would love to hear what happens in that Baby Garnet case as well! I'm a true crime junkie! You seem like a sweetheart so I subscribed and hit that like button and I will check out your other videos. Glad you came across my feed! 😃
Love stories like this. Keep it up Dustin. You and nick are like the only 2 people I watch anymore ❤

stay warm and toasty 😄
So interesting. Keep us updated please
You got it! 🧬
🧬
Yes, let us know about your story. Thank you for this video💚💚. I want a kit now. 😂. I would love an update. 🧬💚💚🧬💚💚🧬💚💚🧬
I loved her skits with Moses. I laugh every time I think about the scene where is sets herself on fire at the gas pumps. Fat Sajak reacted to that video and I laughed farted at it
Hi Dustin, I’m ready for a wild ride

Also why did I start singing Justin Bieber every time you said what did you meme… 😂
Love this stuff! Keep it up love 💚
23andme had a data breach and possibly filing for bankruptcy. Its customers' DNA data could be accessed, sold, or transferred as part of the bankruptcy proceedings. Yikes!
I was adopted and I’d love to get a proper DNA discovery especially this time of year being Alone hits hardest . There pretty expensive especially for me but also the fear the relatives I may meet perhaps won’t be nice people or worse Damned if I do Damned if I don’t??? Love you Dustin ❤
💚💚💚💚💚❤️🥰
I am actually surprised I’ve never heard of this case because I literally grew up and lived in the UP four hours from where this happened!
I also have a soft spot for tricia so i love that you guys are always kind to and aboit her.

@@dustindaileyThat's the OG murdered by his momma Baby Garnett 😢
My mom's cousin found out she has a different dad than the rest of her siblings. She was shocked, the rest of us were shocked that she was shocked lol
That’s what stops me from taking one of those test. What if something crazy pops off with my shit lol
I need it! I hope it's uk delivery
And Australia ❤
I'd love a video explaining the whole case. I've never heard of it till now, and I love true crime
Would love to hear any updates. What a qeird story. Must be so strange. Hopefully everyone is fine.
For sure wanna see your story and an update. I love your videos. ❤
Boyyy, you better give me the tea about your 23 & me!!!!😂
Good friend from high school called me to ask if i remembered a girl he dated briefly- turns out he has a SON that found him thru 23andMe! They dated and then she just disappeared- she had his baby, gave it up and never told him!! Happy ending this, he is thrilled and loves his son very much
I just read the article about the baby garnet case so looovvve that you're talking about this! (Also LOVE that Trisha did a what do you meme expansion pack, its sooo iconic) 🫶
i’m so proud of her. this was so crazy, i’m glad justice is being served.
We need the tea ☕ from yours 😮😮😮
Yes we want to hear your story!!
Dustin and Nick time
just dustin today lol 💚💚
What do you Meme!? That’s soooo iconic
Thats so crazy!!! Such a good one Dustin
A dear friend of mine found out through DNA testing that her father was not in fact her father. They were getting her tested to qualify her for his indigenous tax exemptions/card, and then her mom had to come clean about having an affair and that she wasn’t related to her dad at all. It really rocked their world but have remained a family.
Definitely need an update on this story 🧬
HI DUSTIN!💙
hi friend 👋🏻
Hi, Dustin!!! 🧬
"I've never made a video like this before" well I hope not girl lol
😆😆😆
Dustin I sent you a message on IG earlier today. Not over anything important just to share a question I had that crossed my mind about 2 particularly OG UA-camrs and I didn’t want to post on here because of the fear of receiving some unnecessary smoke🤣🤣🤣
lol I’ll check my messages. I’ll do my best to answer your questions.
Oh no! Title has me worried I totally asked for one for Christmas the kit 😂 Happy almost Thanksgiving Dustin, Nick and Everyone Here
I have a dna test story 😅
Little back story, I got it for Christmas from my mom and her parents were extremely racist.
Yes!! Please! Tell your story 😮
The crossover I didn't know I needed. I know that area is where we spent our summers growing up. P.S. always be suspicious everything is a scam. Always question everything. Literally, everything.
