Watching this in 2018. A lot of people really don’t know where they come from, like how hard for Bigbang to be successful. They suffered a lot, not just with their food, but all. Their dorm, their allowance, the things that was offered to them back then. They started with scratch, they really started from the bottom. That’s why they’re so blessed and humble up to this day. They deserve everything they have and that’s why they are called legends. Because back then, the image of being an idol is not that much. They paved the way, especially GD, by making everything from his hands and mind. Lot of people even other idols thanked him and idolize him. Unlike now, if you’re a trainee with the top entertainment, it’s not that hard. They’re living in luxury. That’s why you could love BigBang in everything they do. VIP for life.

No Name its not smart to make trainees literally starve as they have mentioned before. they also lived with rats in a small apartment with mattress for only two-three people that 7 had to share. they were kids, and had to live like that and literally had to starve and eat the smallest amount to have a chance to survive, so no, YG is not smart at all when it comes to that.

Papa YG actually got abit of flak for this online saying that he should treat his trainees better but i actually think he did the right thing and that those netizens are plain stupid. Spoiling trainees is never the right thing to do, ever. If you take away their incentives to work hard and fail to teach them that only effort = success you would literally be giving too much water to a growing seed and rotting it. Good on you Papa YG for being a good reasonable and wise role model and father figure to your trainees!

Two servings of meat at a restaurants means two plates of pure meat. Have you ever been to a bbq place in south korea? The plates are very very decent (enormous more like). Enough for 1-2 people to get full on meat alone. 2 plates between 5 means that they might have to eat rice, vegetables or side dishes to get full but that's a very very very good dinner. Going out for meat alone is exceptional in Korea, its very very expensive in relation to wage. And it's not like he only gave them 2 servings of meat and only that lol, THERE WAS A WHOLE TABLE OF FOOD TOO. Vegetables, lettuce for raps, free side dishes (ofc lol) and probably enough rice to burst an elephant with. It's because of people like you who don't understand all the facts before making wild assumptions that papa yg gets so much uneccesary shit. He treats his trainees better than any other company. Just look at the dorms, the bigbang/2ne1 dorm building is where ALL of the trainees stay. And that shit looks like a 4 star hotel. Please don't BS on YG's name based on random hearsay. Reserve that for SM where the hearsay is actually 90% true.
