How are button inputs that change the attack output based on when they're pressed supposed to be easier than inputs that always output the same attack?!

I'm saying I don't get how Cross Tag's system of MEMORISING WHICH MOVE COMES AT WHICH TIME ON THE SAME BUTTON is meant to be easier than just pressing the damn input you want at any time. It's made Hazama, my main for 2 Blazblue games, feel like an alien from another planet and makes it pretty hard for me to learn most other characters.
