Disassemble the file, figure out the ews handling in the file, remove
the need for ews by tweaking the code, reassemble the code into binary
and you´re done :) Sounds easy, but was some impressive work in the end.
All code is in the full dump area ;)
Will work as the ISN gets copied over, too.
I even soldered a microswitch to that pin ;)

Hi friend sorry for the disturbance, Im swapping in the M54b30 into a 1989 e30, the M54 comes from a e46 and I have the MS43, is there any different steps to be taken for this?
I want to turn off the EWS of M54B25 from 2002 year, BMW e46. I will swap the engine to BMW e30, so I don't have the EWS module and the wires. Will this method work without these things?

Just did adaptation ews dme on pa soft 1.4 and the dme vin number changed and it's said adaption done and car wouldn't start :( no reply ?
Flash is done and car start but need gettello to work with inpa cable how ?
How did you got inpa cable to work with gettello software ? It's saying no interface detected

Take a look at www.ms43wiki.com, its all explained there. If you flash the ews delete files from the google drive, the car will start, at least if the flash succeded properly. Head over to E46fanatics.com and take a look at the DME section.
Extremely late but got my cable to work by modding the cable pin instead of modding Gattello
So after flashing with jm garage flasher I read that you should resync ews with dme how is that to be done by pa soft 1.4 bmw scanner and is it possible to do reset adaptation ews and dme then car will start as ews is off on dme ?

Hey i know that noone going to reply, but i will still ask. If i want to make bubbles, i've seen on ms43 wiki. Do i have to get the ecu out and do the boot thing? or i only need inpa cable and protuner program? and as i see the bubbles comes at the second picture rpm's? "ignition retard fast negative throttle closed" can i change it to other rpm's than in that picture?
Hey, you don´t need to bootmode the ecu. It´s just tweaking the parameters. If you have a supported ecu software version, then it is straight forward.

So If i have understand it right i can take an m54b25 and put it in to My 320 chassie download The software to the ECU from the b25 and use My old key ? Or do i have to use the standard ECU from the m54b22 ?
Tese days, you can use whatever MS43 you want :) Use your old ecu and flash the proper software onto it, make any MS43 virgin and keep it as spare or even get rid off the ews system and use it as racecar. Pretty much unlimited options.
I have the same question, I have an 04 320i with ms43 and would like to install a 330i engine and transmission etc. would this work?

Make shure the filesize matches the stated size of the xdf file ;-)

Can you do a short video on dtc suppression? A very short one? Maybe doing some cyl misfire dtc set to zero or running rich or lean dtc to zero? It would help out a lot
Problem is, you need at least INPA to get the proper codes. Its pretty difficult to figure out which antibounce counter relates to what kind of DTC, its quite a few days of work and i currently have that spare time.

yes, we are aware of faults happening with Galletto. You either need a specific obd interface to work with Galletto or you need to modify eobd1260.exe to accept your obd interface, i hope you know that fact? If so, we have included the instruction on how to do it with MProg and hex editor in our google drive. Reading and writing the full flash file is done in boot mode and needs additional work, you are aware of that fact?

Download 64kb file from your ecu and open it like shown in the video. The tab "softwareversion" will tell you which version your ecu is running.

Even when i'm using xdf based on 0056?
I am in progress of ending a swap m54b30 into E30, there was no immo. Do I understand it right, that if i had downloaded a 64kb and opened it in tuner pro (it shows 0056- but isn't it just the xdf base fault?), I can now modify these parameters that you shown and then i can just throw my EWS away and it will be fine to go?
I've scanned by pa soft 1.4 ? I got fixed key code and random key code flashing in green but I got the random key code status is giving wrong random status so this flashing will not fix this problem so the ews is still active not off ? How can I fix that problem the key should be active in that way and ews is on ??

No, you just need the right software depending on your goal. Search for the MS43 Wiki, it's all explained in detail.

id like to have your assistance when i go at this the car hasnt moved in months because of the key messing up it is currently sitting at another location so itll ill have to go to it when i do this im about to buy a new esu ews key and tumbler so this would save me about 300$ it has an injector shark tune on it now does this tune have a modified map and can i modify further from it
also is the elm327 compatible
Good morning, I´d recommend getting a spare MS43 ecu (as long as the car has that stock!) and flash the ews off files for much easier testing. You could simply exchange the ecu and given the battery is ok, it will start immediately. Just make shure it has MS43 and not MS45 which was introduced in the ZHP version of the car and is used at the SULEV version. You can easily tune a given tune like the shark injector, no big deal.
I´m using a micro elm327 device to pair with my smartphone and use OBD Fusion/Torque to read OBD related stuff. However you can NOT use the ELM tools to tune the car further.

Galletto is for reading and writing 64kb file, the one that includes all the maps for tuning. If you wanna change VIN, EWS etc. you need to work with the 512kb file (called full flash). For full flash, you can either deal with getting the ecu into boot mode and flash it with JMGarage Flasher software or purchase MSS54 Flasher software from Kim Freding. It works with MS43 and you won´t need to fiddle with boot mode, although flashing takes ~15minutes. I´d flash the ews off file from the google drive which matches your engine (either M54B22, B25, B30) and try to start the engine. It should start if there is no defect. Once you have flashed that file, you can use Galletto to tune it further.

There is not much you can do on such an engine without additional mods. Either go bigger or FI.

Kind of EWS off... It s bit more complicated. Actually the need for rolling codes is deleted, but you still need the right key to start the engine. So there is still a fair bit of safety. But otherwise you just need to switch ecus and it will start, no more rolling code reset etc
netmaster78 thanks but in case of push start button or remote start do I need bypass module for the key or I can start the car without the key in place ( the tumbler) ???

Hello.
Im in the process of swapping my 318tds e36 engine with a m54b30.
I find a lot about ews delete, but I would like to keep ews.
I just want to delete all can bus features until I have all necessary parts to get dsc and so working.
Until then I want this disabled.
I also want the post oxygen sensors deactivated, as the secondary air pump.
Can you help me on this?
I'll buy gettello cable and see but why idle dropped to 500 instead of 700 how to adjust it ?
