  • This is the fourth Video and a 10 part series entitled, The Thread Take Up Lever and Light.
    In this video we will disassemble the Take Up Lever, The Tension Lever, and the Work Light.
    Cleaning and Servicing each individual part. We will pay special attention to the details of reassembling.

    I really hope I get to play with one of these, you've broken it down so well, everything is clear, I've only ever preserved hand cranks as my treadle is in full working order

    I am enjoying your videos. I’m currently on number 6! I do have a question on #4. Did I miss a step when you were talking about removing the packing? I see the packing but don’t see how it was disassembled to get to that part. I just got a 15-91 at an estate sale so I am cleaning it up. It does sew but the underside stitch is awful. Top stitch looks nice. Not sure where the issue is but maybe I will resolve it by watching your videos. Thank you.

      Underneath looking bad is usually top tension issues, you could try adjusting tension first, then taking it apart to clean
