- It's that time of the year where foreigners in Japan and Japanese girls and boys get to celebrate (or commemorate) the season of spooky/spoopy. So what better way to start than to pop over to the many 100 yen stores dotted around Japan and snap up all the Halloween goodness that's on sale! I went to visit the two biggest retailers of hyaku-en shoppu (100円ショップ), Daiso and CAN DO in Shibuya and loaded up my shopping basket with as much goods as I can possibly find!

For those of you that live outside the US. As others have mentioned, we have the Spirit of Halloween seasonal stores that sale all types of costumes, props, make-up, and anything else Halloween related. Cathy Cat would lose her mind in that store. Hardware stores like Home Depot will sale Halloween props for the yard which people will decorate their yards will all types of Halloween props. People spend a fortune on Halloween in terms of holiday shopping. Christmas is the one holiday that beats Halloween in terms of spending.
The ghostie lantern my favorite; So has it been raining there lately? We have 40 or so items inside the house and some for the yard as well, but others in the neighborhood do a complete setting and expect 50-100 trick-or-treaters visiting due of their efforts.
I never get tired of seeing Cathy get excited! No matter how bad a day I have she can always make me smile!
I get to celebrate twice. Once on the 30 for my Bday turning the big 50 this year. I also have a blast on the 31 handing out cheese and peanut butter cracker and seeing all my neighbors.
But did you remember the most important stop to pick up some PSL for all that energy you will need for shopping !!! Plenty of goodies left over to decorate the apartment hallways leading to your apartment for all the spoopyness !!

I was gonna point out that if you like Halloween so much. Wait until you can come to The States, and check out one of the good Spirit Halloween stores around this time of year. Theeeeeen you show us those two stores....... so okay... maybe..... not. 😆
I'll have to rewatch the vid, since I'm sure there's maybe something that I can't think of at the moment, but if we had them here in The States, I would like to have those spoopy cardboard background stands. And, that ghost paper lantern was awesome!

Rumors are, there are ghosts of people wandering around that apartment who got lost and died while searching for the exit after the Halloween-party.

Wish I could go to Daiso again for decorations. Halloween is just starting to be a thing where I live but no where near Japan's level of decorating or festivity feeling. My sister hates it when I wear my costumes -- says its just for kids here - but I still dress up the whole week before Halloween.

I would go for The Nightmare before Christmas and the Pumpkin decoration to bring out the Halloween mood.

Must say that Cathy found good stores with Halloween goodies, some accessories from there really attract people with the spooky cute vibe. I know that struggle of wanting to buy all the goodies, on that note, it is once a year so why hold back lol.

We have Daiso in Southern California, USA, but they don't have anywhere near that amount of Halloween stuff.☹️ Liked the video, but at the end you should have turned off all of your house lights and let us see what all the light-up and glow-in-the-dark decorations look like when it's dark. Maybe next time?🙂

One of my friends lost their JR pass on a train but thankfully it was turned it by someone, otherwise that would have been a whopping 400ish they lost!

So many items! We can't get that much for like $10-25 at a dollar store here. Nothing in a dollar store is a dollar... Most is $2-4... even some stuff is like $10!

Well, dollar store only says it costs dollar, not how many. It's not like they are lying.
It's like "no artificial aromas". From the 2000 aromas used, only half a hundred are artificial. The rest are natural. Because natural means it exists in nature. So when bacterias eating wood chips produce your strawberry aroma, that is natural.
@@steemlenn8797 Well things used to be a dollar, but prices have gone up. The cheapest place I know of here in Canada is Dollar Tree, where everything is $1.25. Dollarama starts at $1.25 but very little is under $2.
Although I seldom like Halloween, but love to get interesting accessories, cosplay costumes and other merchandises/products. 🎃
