The guy is right , ı just got that platinum title and it is way worse than %15 acceptance rate . After 25 delivery ı only saw one high paying order ( 1miles 4.50$ 😃 ) this is the biggest scam in gig work history . I am in south florida , Uber Eats is the real king . Dont belive any youtuber saying tier system is good , they getting paying for saying that👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I stay platinum status mainly because of "Dash Now". That makes a huge difference in my market scheduling dashes it was like 4 or 5 days out.
@@dennishuffstutler9820 yeah, it definitely is a great benefit. It just sucks that it used to be locked in for the month, but it’s not like DoorDash will ever revert.
Cool video man. I looked over at my lady & was like why am I watching this guy door dash rn lol. Very interesting stuff though thanks for the quality upload!
Haha thanks man! The world of gig work is certainly interesting to say the least
I agree, I dash in Fort Wayne Indiana also and I feel I make less trying so hard for platinum
One thing I noticed they are paying you good but sending you far away
I swear Platinum level is a psyc-ops....I hit PLatinum level last week. Same town as you. It it even hit in the middle of an order drop off. 1st 3 hrs was great. Then I got the WORST orders imaginable. Worse than when I was gold. Next day I was doing th emotning time. Sat in front of Starbucks and also NOT 1 order for there. Instead, just like you sent me to a lame shopping order. Last week they were even running a promo for $3 between 1:30 and 3 am. I sat in The Rally's downtown parking lot and did NOT get ONE order. When normally it trys to drag me there.
Have you done any follow up videos with platinum?
Making the changes you talked about in the end.
Platinum give you the QUICK orders sometimes, so you can average around $20-$30 . They usually take 10-15 mins to do
Also, if it helps, I put in that I "lost" my red card. Not just toggled it off. I have not gotten one in over a year!
I’m a platinum too here in California it’s hard to maintain that AR up lol keep up the grind
Yeah, the 100 revolving seems to have gotten easier. But right now I’m hovering right at 70% and it sucks having to take a $4 9mile offer
I had the same experience and lost my status. I gotten take all orders to get back there
You mention that you picked up from Pasta Di Guy. I interviewed him at the Orange County Convention Center and its on my 2nd channel Do Beverage and on my 1st channel Mico The Entrepreneur.
All depends on area, if you’re in a small town, there may be NO drivers, so you’re going to see the same offers on platinum as silver because there’s nobody out there. It’ll let you schedule but if you keep the map open, it’ll get “busy” enough to dash now even without priority. The problem with the diamond status is -to give you high paying orders, a lot of times it’ll require long drive times. Hopefully they fix this on the algorithm and add back the reason we decline for consideration. I’m at 67% AR but going to get back to platinum just to have full access. Gold is pointless, silver or platinum.
Also look at which schedules are open before you get platinum. If an area has a full open schedule. AR won’t matter as much, there’s nobody there.

Yeah, my city is mid sized (over 250,000 population) but the hot zones are terrible. Like, I’m almost never getting a follow up offer on drop off, I have to drive back almost the whole way every time. Doesn’t help that it’s one giant blob of a zone. So DoorDash will send me 20 miles and I’ll still be in. Which is great if you don’t have dash now, but it terrible if you have to take 70% of offers.
@@AlexShinn yeah my town is only like 6K people. Today I headed to a zone with nobody scheduled, but I got orders in my zone before I got there.
Um I got to platinum fairly easy honestly when I first I didn’t even pay attention to the ratings but the ratings chain is different for every state I’m in la ca so it’s volume like crazy and a ton of places to shop and delivery from
I think platinum just means you get to see the offer before anyone else.... So you get first dibs on orders; good and bad. 🤷♂️
The only language DoorDash uses about priority on orders is for high paying offers. So specifically $2+/mi. But, when offers have been sitting for a while because they’re so bad, DoorDash pushes those out to any driver, even platinum, and it makes it hard to maintain the AR
almost stealing a car is crazzyy. Also, I just diable my red card (report as lost) to get rid of the shop and pay
Lmaooo, yeah, i did end up doing that. They sent me another anyway 🙃 but i don’t think I’ve seen another since 🤞
Sure seems like you don’t get much down time, one after the other orders!
Doordash randomly turns on your red card and cash on delivery with a notice that dashers who have these settings on, tend to make more earnings.
Turned off shop and pay also! If I wanted to do that, I would have never quit Instacart.
Bro you live in a garbage area…it’s doesn’t matter if you’re Platinum or not.
Location, Location, Location, Location…
Now when you have platinum in the tri-state area (my market is NJ close to NYC) even the non-status driver get bangers because there are sooo many restaurants it’s insane.
Bro I think that platinum tier shit a scam like where are the Large cater paying orders!! 🤦🏾♂️
After three weeks they finally approved my catering bags. Absolutely furious they gave me the runaround every time I called. Ran into a couple who had a catering order and they said they only get like 2 a week anyway. And the one they had was only paying $18.50. Hardly seems worth it
@@AlexShinn I had mine for a few days now but I still haven’t yet gotten one but it says I have access to Large orders… I need the real money lol
Don't decline the offer, just let it time out. Your acceptance rate doesn't get hit on every non-accept order.
Yeah, it’s a rolling 100. Problem is it’s a gamble. If i wait for it to time out, a good order behind it might go to another dasher. But also if I wait it out, maybe another bad offer will go to another dasher and I’ll get a better one behind that one.
Personally I don’t like waiting the extra ~minute every offer unless I’m multiapping
@@tomn9097it definitely will hurt your rating. I've tried it several times and each time it hurt..smh.. I now multi-out several apps so I care less now
It still affected mine! I don’t think that works and like someone else said…you risk losing a decent order that might come in while you are waiting to “time out” the offer!
It’s almost like getting punished to do a good job 😂
