Umalusi / The Shepherd.

Hailing from a repertoire of Pr U.Ngcume’s work, here Ngcume explores a Jazz styled choral piece that touches on the importance of a spiritual shepherd. The piece speaks back to Psalm 23 where David describes God's providential care in providing refreshment, guidance, protection, abundance, and so affording grounds of confidence in his perpetual favor. In a general sense this piece beautifully paints a clear picture of a spiritual Priest who essentially becomes a keeper of the flock.
