Thought y'all were purple and gold...not navy and gold....
The uniforms are blue and gold because it holds its' color better for years of wear and tear.....the blue gives the illusion of purple...there are series of violets and Royal purples that look blue....If you've ever bought purple items of clothing...you'll understand what I'm talking about.
And one more thing....when a band grows and has to order additional uniforms...sometimes cost and production can bring about modifications .....lol !
