      Yup …most of the time ill time my opponent so perfect they’re going up up lol how? Pump fake step works every time before you know it they throw themselves down and soon as they come back up with their body extending the real penetration step comes 😈

    THIS IS THE WRESTLING COACH MY SCHOOL NEEDS. The yelling, the talking loud, the detailed information on ONE technique so they can train it properly. Where are the coaches like this these days?

    They say you can't teach a grown man to wrestle but I am sure as hell going to try to improve my bjj...This coach is badass. Love how he really breaks it down..

      I'm 46 and even though I'm from Stillwater, OK ... I never wrestled. And for BJJ (in Australia now), I'm focusing all of my self-development time on wrestling takedowns. Here's to hoping this old dog can learn new tricks.

    As a middle aged man teaching himself to grapple in the smallest of towns in Canada, and doing a reasonably good job of it I might add, I have done a LOT of research on wrestling and my little group has become better at stand up because of it. Are we even good at it - debatable - not the point though. This is the best and most technical description of a double leg I have found in hundreds of hours of research and loads of pros talking technique. Amazing share. There are at least 5 points in this seven minutes I haven’t found anywhere else. Implementing everything here as of tomorrow. Cheers

    The pivot is not needed considering these are kids. At 5.04 you can get easily get the takedown with a right step across the body. The pivot is great for the 2nd, 3rd takedown attempt, but the first takedown attempt should be at 5.04. Thoughts?

    • @snorlaxcom
      @snorlaxcom 4 роки тому +1

      Fundamentals bro. Yea you always train by driving across since day 1, but this the skill this coach teaches is more versatile and more applicable to kids that don't have much strength and this also preemptively gets around the defense the opponent will put up. Maintaining the strong wrestling stance is a plus here, too.

    Hi! In the next period my son will start wrestling and I would like to ask you, since you have so much experience, what would be the 3 main things that make the difference between a good young athlete and an average one and what should we focus on at the beginning, more in order to create a solid base? Thanks a lot!

    Listen he's a very very good coach I promise you most of the students the wrestlers that want to get better and are there cuz they want to be they all learned from him that day I said that the way I did because there's a lot of parents unfortunately that will make therr kids do sport they don't want because the parent get the chance to do it through his child but you got to let your child pick his sports and activities this way that I have interest today man is a lot different than when people my age grow up kids today don't go out and play so they need to go play sports and have activities but they should test the waters and see what they like see what they're good at I hope they pick wrestling it is a great weapon that have in life it teaches discipline toughness and it's not me or look back on with pride and if you train rate prepare yourself properly you could be very good
    I'm very impressed he can get his techniques the small details and explain why all across and each one of them kids are looking and they're tuned in because the way he can deliver his coaching style trust me that's a great coach

    You're talking to little kids. Adjust. They can't think as fast as you can talk. They also have a limit on the volume of verbal information they can process in one stretch. Break it down into bite-sized pieces. Finally, simplify your vocabulary.
    What was good was your repetition, and of course, your enthusiasm and energy. It was also good when you gave a metaphor they could relate to, like your MIB neuralizer example. But even that may be before their time, believe it or not.
    Throw in a little humor from time to time.
    Just some suggestions from someone who was a teacher for 30 years, a parent of four and grandparent of seven, and coached 36 team seasons of youth sports.

      and u also know why the military are the most disciplined, athletic people out there? Its because of the intensity of training and preparing them for whats out there. what the instructor is doing is exactly that. If kids can't grasp that reality, they're not gonna go anywhere near state or nationals

      @@LOL-bi9nk I'm not commenting on anyone's ability to grasp reality. I'm talking about communicating with children.

      @@Astrobrant2 Russian children, age of 8-10 were wrestling bears during their time, and ur criticizing communication. Kids are smart bro, adding jokes and humor ain't gonna change anything. He's giving out precise instructions, he doesn't have time to make jokes and shit. u don't know the number other group of ppl he is going to teach next. but if ur POV is to teach it that way, godspeed to u but if u want to teach them to compete with the ELITES, ur out of ur mind.
