American Accent Training - ACCENT REDUCTION
You supposedly have an non native, an accent that is normally excepted of most non native speakers. You may have a good knowledge of the English language but that does not guarantee a good accent. But what does a "good accent" mean? It means an accent that is easy on all ears across the globe. An accent that is understood by all in the international community, no matter who the listener is -- an American or a British or an Australian or a Canadian or people from any country. This accent is called neutral accent. Do not assume that all native English speaking people speak with the same accent. They differ. And people who are not native English speakers -- an Indian or a Chinese or a Korean -- have their own typical accent patterns. Both of them -- native English speakers and non-native English speakers -- need to undergo the accent reduction process in order to acquire the neutral accent.
This guy has a beautiful British accent :D
The exercise starts at 3:47
Thanks 💗

Thank you very much, the jaw exercise given in this video really helped me to train my mouth move more properly and correctly.
tnx u
It's really hard to put this on the category of an "American accent" because like basically everywhere else in the world, the accents differ within an area. Like for example I live in the state of West Virginia. In the county where in live, we speak relatively neutral. But if you go like an hour north or south of us, people will have a very strong stereotypical southern or "country" accent. Because of the size of our country, it leaves room for cultural aspects and dialect to change a lot
Yup! you're right. Look up some history of language guys, at one point the British actually came out with an accent to try to differentiate certain classes of workers from others, hence the major difference between the 'neutral' American and British accents today.
There are about a dozen different American accents. There's a HUGE difference between a Southern accent from say Savana Georgia, vs. a Northern Accent like Boston or New York. People in Fargo North Dakota have a unique accent as well, and they literally sound nothing like a Northeast American accent.
I think all accents sound pretty cool. Hearing someone speak differently then you are accustomed to hearing them speak is intriguing.
I find it ignorant when people say that they or someone "doesn't have an accent"... an "accent" is, simply put, the way the language is spoken... if you speak a language, any language at all, you do have an accent... if a group of people speak in a certain way, they all have an accent, by definition, the accent of these people is the way they pronouce words, the pace and intonation, inflection, etc etc
Excuse me, don't you have videos with British accent? I do want to speak with British accent, could you help me in this, please? And I want to thank you for all your great videos. You have done really good work! Congratulations!!!
Thank you 1 these videos are helping out a lots .
It's working ☺👍
You are doing a great job , thanks ❤
Thank you soo much
this is amazing
AHBD had me dying 😭😭😭
Thanks, see ya in next class!
The American accent is a lot closer to what general English sounded in the colonial America which was spoken by both Britain and the Colonies
Relly I want to learn british English but in youtube aren't a lot of video of them, that why I decide to learn American accent.
But actually, this guy speaks British english. NOT american
Nice. I love this
I think he meant that there is no general "british accent". A scottish accent, for example, sounds completely different than the accent in london, etc., so you can't really generalise it.
Please, I want to practice the language with someone who is well educated in English ♥I wish his mother tongue was English. ☺️
Thank you so much
It's mine from Canada

British people have lots of different accents! I'm from Yorkshire, so I do have a different accent to some of my cousins who live further down south in Birmingham, so it all differs on the area of the country you come from and it's the same with the American accent....
Dear sir

What's with all this about what pronunciation has or doesn't have an accent? Your pronunciation IS your accent. It's like saying you don't have a language. If you have the ability to communicate in a consistent manner(verbal or non-verbal) you have a language. If you communicate through a spoken language, you have an accent. It doesn't matter what "original" dialect was.
Well said.
we should learn what we want...
I love English because Its the first english. But that doesnt matter if you're american or non British.
I do love english
Wow. Nice.

shayan bahi acha nahi chll rha pleaseb koi arr link share krn app

Is there any institute where I can learn?
im a little bit confuse about ed and d in words how will i use that. when making sentences
Many past tense verbs end in "ed". If the verb's present tense form ends in "e" then you just add the "d". Some examples: use/used, confuse/confused, watch/watched, walk/walked. If the verb ends in "y", then change the "y" to an "i" and add "ed" (cry/cried, try/tried). Hope that helped.
Could one not say similarly about the American accent? Albeit, not the differences in colloquial speech isn't nearly as pronounced as in Britain.
why pronunciation of z is like d ?!
ya.. same question..
Same ques here...
Wanted to ask the same question..and by the way..he doesnt sound that much like a native. He is much more of a brit.
Same question....Can somebody pls answer
Only the speaker can answer this...

non racist bro he's worming our mouths up
Awesome #metrocareer
You're not right either, because while we did change English, so did the English themselves. Languages evolve thus, accents are not relative to any other accent.
it is british or american
Maybe American
it's British

Maybe Non British People or Non English people what they means when they say "British Accent" is RP?

Jarvis.....
Australian accent is best
*The second sound is most difficult for me in every set*
Hello
why does this guy speak british but says that is teaching american?!
yasaman mni Because it would just be natural and hard to explain for an American
-an american
I'd like to become better
I doubt the speaker is from England. He pronounces beautifuly, and reminds me of Harry Potter audiobook. I am not saying his accent is thick, but to me it sounds a little more like the British.
kul
No wonder this shit is free
But there is an accent that is recognized throughout the world as American. No need to split hairs here when people are trying to learn...
But he is British....wow...yes we can hear you too...
tbh Americans just say it the way it is
ALWAYS AMERICAN ENGLISH!...;)
This sounds very silly... If you really want to improve your American accent it would be better to watch movies and have a look at the table of the IPA sounds. After having done that, it is easier to go out and speak. And after a while, your accent will be better than before.
There is no such thing as a British accent that would imply that the whole of Britain had the same accent but it varies on where you live say you come from the north theres accents like geordie scouse etc and Scotland and northern ireland are part of Britain and they speak in completely different ways to what would be a stereotypical British accent
Please pronoun maryam

Some of those don't even sound American to me and I am American. Perhaps because they are exaggerated...
Hahaha, learn your facts before you start making ignorant statements about accents.
American is not a race or nationality. America started off with other countries around the world. Mostly Europe and that's how this accent formed over the years.
This person doesn't even sound like an american.
What the hell ! You do not have a n American accent.
u r so wrong my frnd
Thank you
There is no such thing as a "British accent"
British and American are not races.
U don't have American accent!!!
