  • The Lausanne International Horse Show will count on three performances of the Cadre Noir de Saumur.
The Cadre Noir is an equestrian team based in the city of Saumur in western France. The troop was founded in 1828, and gets its name from the black uniforms that are still used today.
It is one of the most prestigious horsemanship schools in the world. Accordingly in 1972, the Equestrian National School was constituted around the Cadre Noir, which form its core teaching staff. Today, there are about 50 horses and a team of elite riders.

This is one of the most famous and old classical dressage ruiteen. they are rewarded when done good, they are not in pain, they perform perfectly. Before getting to this level of dressage the horses undertake a few stages before hand to see if they are up to the standard wanted. Not once did I see the horses in pain, this is art.

It sure beats being first in a cavalry charge against the winged hussars

these poor horses are all tied behind the vertical, why? This is so painful for the horse and it is not beautiful at all, they all look handicaped because they can't move normally.
