Who Is the Best Technician in Fallout 4?

- "It took me 4 playthroughs to notice this detail related to the teleporter in Fallout 4. One of the tubes breaks off from the teleporter during its activation. This made me curious if it also breaks off when you build the teleporter with the other two technicians, Proctor Ingram and Sturges. I decided to test it, starting with Proctor Ingram. First, I built the teleporter with her. Then I stepped onto the platform and started to wait.

makes sense proctor is the only one actually heavily experienced in building things similar to that technology
not only that, you're surrounded by tech and stuff since you build it at their base so makes sense why it would be a bit sturdier then the other 2
I’ve only ever used her I think
Yeah but Sturges is literally a synth you'd figure Father wouldn't want him to build a bunk teleporter
Me when a very experienced military engineer makes something better than just some dude
It’s not that serious
@@deadcrop407 never said it was
Tinker tom is a genius inventor
Strges is a Synth
@@flashback0180 and?
It's not a great deteil for a game, but is a giant deteil for a Bethesda's game
i also love how WE build the whole damn thing and its them telling us we shouldnt worry, as if we didnt know that the tube WAS supposed to stay connected
I always thought of settlement building as us telling them what to put down and where to put it. At the very least, when it comes to advanced pieces like the artillery or the teleporter.
Drake teleporter 💀💀
freaky ahh teleporter
69 teleporter
Weirdly, stranger things music starts playing with that teleporter

I still prefer sturges as sure he's working for the guy who mentions settlements everytime but he genuinely cares about everyone and the minutemen are good people
The brotherhood of steel Is the birthplace of Hypocrisy same with the institute.
I really like how going to sturges feels generally like I’m going to some random guy. Like he doesn’t actually have any quests that tie him to the minute men. Like you said, he just knows Garvey. Yet he takes duct tape and bubble gum to make a teleporter. Of course the brotherhood would be best with all their tech. And Tom is the railroads smart guy.
Sturges just likes to tinker and said ‘yeah. I guess I’m going to build a teleporter today.’
It’s like if I go to my neighbor who can do basic car repair and ask him to build a faster than light space rocket and he does!
If i Remember he even give u some gun mod
dont forget that knight rhys
I'mma try making it everywhere
Yeah but think of the kick-ass power armor you get for like no trouble
If you can keep the prydwen flying, that teleporter probably was childs play

I have never had that happen with Sturgis. Done it twice now
during my play the metal lines holding everything up were shaking like crazy and sturges commented about that, never any tubing though
INGRAM SUPREMACY
Maxis telling my character Ingram could handle building a teleporter that dematerializes living organism and reassembles them elsewhere because she “fixed a big balloon” was hilarious to me
Tinker Tom did such a good job the teleporter couldn’t handle it
Didn't have this problem with sturgis on my first play through and my second with Tom. Gotta do a third run with the BOS
This has been a very great triumph for the brotherhood. Ad Victoriam
Proof Proctor Ingram is the goat. Ad Victoriam
If you don't build the teleporter with the brotherhood and get the holotape data for them it will mess up the brotherhood questline. After bringing the data back to proctor ingram from the holotape the quest Liberty Reprimed is supposed to start. She's supposed to walk over and open up the Sealed doors with a terminal to show you liberty prime in pieces and you can complete this quest without angering any of the other factions.
Oh ya i remember i was doing a minuteman save but then changed my mind to bos after going to the institute and it broke my game. So i had to finish as the institute.
Whoever you build the teleporter for will lock you into that factions quest line, If im not mistaken.
who you build the teleporter with doesn’t really matter just changes how you learn about prime, same with who you give the tape to you can actually give it to all 3 factions if you’re at the right points in all their quests, if I recall correctly there’s two starts to reprimed one is where Ingram shows you the parts in the airport after outside the wire which you do need to build the teleporter with Ingram to do and a alternative beginning if you build the teleporter with someone else starting with maxson giving you From Within and when you return with li or the other scientist prime is already being built then Ingram brings you up to speed and sends you to get the magnets, I’m pretty sure you have to do battle of bunker hill and not attack any brotherhood to get the second beginning, also probably have to tell them about bunker hill before going there too.
@@rc_aw11_mr24 If you build the teleporter with Sturges or Tinker Tom it messes up the Brotherhood of Steel questline on Xbox for sure. When you build the teleporter with BOS theres a cut scene where proctor Ingram gives you a holotape to upload to the institutes mainframe then you teleport to the institute you're also tasked by Elder Maxim with bringing Doctor Li back to build Liberty Prime. While at the institute go to Dr Li and convince her to return to the brotherhood then go back to Maxim and inform him. Then go back to the institute and upload the holotape into the mainframe downloading all of their data on their Synths. Return to proctor ingram and you'll get a cut scene where she tells you she hears you convinced Dr Li to return to the brotherhood and you and proctor ingram walk over to a terminal on the wall at the airport and she opens a sealed door and inside is Liberty Prime in pieces. If it is not done this way the questline is broken and you will have to either side with the institute, railroad or minutemen. Proctor ingram will just stand out front of the entrance to the airport and talk about her power armor. Now if you do the brotherhood questline to this point it will break P.A.M in the railroad and you can no longer do radiant quests for P.A.M so hopefully you got the Ballistic Weave mod from Tinker Tom up to this point because you will have to do two quests for P.A.M in order to get the mod
The Enclave technician in America Rising 2 also has no issue with the tube, which makes sense.
Cheif Engineer Myers is actually my favorite person from that whole mod/dlc.

Wow what a surprise both of the wasteland mechanics teleporters weren't perfect
Brotherhood always the best
I was wearing headphones and hearing ingrams bounce to my right will I’m in the bath terrified me.
I'm glad to did it with the BoS
LONG LIVE THE BROTHERHOOD. AD VICTORIAM
The Brotherhood of Steel is always the best. Ad Victoriam soldier.
Yeah, I never had tinker Tom work on it before as I have only done two playthroughs that were both ended when the game would suddenly fail to save anymore, but first was the brotherhood and the second was the minute men. I do sort of recall there being another way that didn't involve anyone else helping though, wasn't there? Or maybe I am remembering things wrong. I seem to recall a group showing up after the fact, brotherhood and them expressing how they wished I would have let them be there to aid me but... it has been a while.
I build the portal with sturgers but this didnt happend to me
Who woulda thunk that that the only one with any genuine education and advanced training would’ve got it work properly?
i never realized you could build the teleported with other technicians! i have always used/seen it done with Sturges
The brotherhood of steel managed to rebuild liberty prime
They are crazy about technology, no wonder they can build the teleporter without problems
That must be terrifying. Knowing the teleported just broke and your about to teleport somewhere where no one knows about. If something goes wrong and the teleported can’t start up you would have to fight the entirety of the institute singlehanded. Ultimately being trapped forever.
I’d more say that it also shows that the Brotherhood of Steel simply has more resources to pull from, meaning they have to cut less corners, making their construction better than the others.
It's funny i noticed it last night in a video and now i got this short
I fucking hope the Brotherhood of Fucking Steel trooper, who's been around technology for her entire lofe and had an actual education (easier access to old world books) would be the best of the bunch 😂
Also, Sturges is literally like making a homemade teleporter with your friend Jim in your backyard... Which is why i liked picking that one
Didn't even know such a thing existed 😂 but I am still going through my first playthrough lol
See this is exactly why I always use the Brotherhood to build it, just feels more realistic that they could do it while the other two are likely to turn me into a blood puddle. Not like they get too mad if I don’t hand over the holotape and side with other factions, just cuts them out for the rest of the game unless I side with them.
With Sturges being a synth, I'm a little surprised working on all that forbidden institute tech Synths are specifically designed to forget didn't blow something out in his brain.
Tinker Tom is canonically crack head, and sturgies have expirence only fixing farm equipment
I never even noticed that tube before
better point
-Tom is a Tinker so this crosses his wheelhouse but is not in his wheelhouse
-Sturges this is fully outside his expertise
-Ingram knows what is most likely to fail and prepared for it because rare and advanced tech is her specialty
I always thought it was maxxons thing is that the brotherhood is perfect, but I noticed it on my second play through
Can we talk about how bro is just playing as Pickman?
Tinker Tom makes working with the railroad worth it.
do you ever see a video that strikes so much hatred and anger in your heart that you can’t articulate why
Tbf, you also arrived with no issues the other times.
I never even knew there were teleporters.
"Proctor Ingram is the best technician."
WHAT ABOUT MY BOY STIGGS
It should not be surprising to find that we in the Brotherhood of Steel, know how to properly build advanced technology considering how much of it we have coll and confiscated over the past 210 years.
The well funded military vet is better at her job than a hot rodder and a crazy guy living in a catacomb. Checks out.
(I'm assuming sterges doesn't know how to access the info stored in his synth brain SPOILERS)
It never made any sense to me how sturges manages to build that and also decrypt that institute holotape, remember the dude couldn't even hack a 200 year old museum computer
Enclave mod guy has no flailing toob either
At least Tinker Tom educated us about the governments nanotech technology that can be ingested. *Cough* smart dust *Cough*
I did it with the minutemen and my rube didn't break
Actually, there’s a chance for each and every one of them to have the tube disconnect so no brotherhood, supremacy or anything it’s just brotherhood. Got lucky for this example
I remember the tube breaking with all 3 during my first playthroughs back in 2014-2015
Might be like a random chance sort of thing
I feel so bad for betraying the railroad…But the brotherhood is so much better
Ingram has access to better hose clamps.
The tube breaks for the minute men aswell
Human is beyond synth 😂😂
That actually didn’t happen to me when I had done that quest with the minutemen.. how weird lol i just did that quest a couple of days ago
I'm pretty sure that this was a war crime
I’ve never built it with the railroad, I’ve always done minutemen or BOS, I thought this was specific to Sturges lol
Your guy looks like Michael from GTA V Lol 😂
Sturgis is a synthetic you would think he would know how to build their technique
I built the portal with struges and that didn’t happen?
It happened to me yesterday doing that mission and then when I left the institute and went back to sanctuary the teleporter was destroyed idk if that’s normal and I just never noticed before
It also happend to me
Yeah same he had 0 issues with the teleporter for me
@@seanbrantingham4888it always gets destroyed even if it doesn’t break.
So you compared someone with technological expertise and an entire military at her back for funding to a crackpot theory nutcase who has to work with scrap and duct tape and a guy who couldn't even hack a NOVICE terminal
And the one with actual technical knowledge is the best? Astonishing
Ive always done Sturges. Never knew it never broke with ingram. I wonder if the teleporter was still intact after building with Ingram.
She Also has access to better materials
The best of the best of whatever brotherhood could pillage fromm nearest settlement
Brotherhood is the canon ending...
Oh wow the Brotherhood of Steel mechanic with an immeasurable amount of tech and helpers built a high tech experimental device better than the post apocalyptic junk technicians? Who'd've fucking thunk it
Remember that Sturgis is a Sinth
While they're not the greatest compared to older chapters you can't deny that they are extremely well trained and regimented. This is like comparing an astrophysicist to someone who learned how to make and build model rockets. It's not really the same level
When I did it with Sturgis the tube didn’t fall off
Drake ahh teleporter
"tHE CHuBe"
Always proud of my Brotherhood brothers and sisters. Ad victoriam!
4? I wish I only had 4... Also, AD VICTORIAM!!
I’ve completed countless playthroughs and none of them had this “tubing” thing happen at all.
I already knew this
Tom's being spread too thin. The Railroad has him doing everything science related. They need to let him specialize. And Sturges says he's better at fixing stuff than building it.
I think sturgis is like a 50/50 chance for it to break because ive had ones where it does and doesnt break off with the minutemen
Yeah using the brotherhood to go to The institute is the smarter idea but to take it down you should side with the minutemen instead because they are far more better for the long run because the brotherhood of steel is going to be there for another 4 years to hunt down the rest of the machines and then there's going to leave after taking everything they can
My theory is Tinker Tom is an idiot, Proctor Ingram is trained, but Sturges tries to be sneaky and fake a fault due to his spoiler item but fails anyways because Bethesda magic.
one has experience and training, the two others dont.
I think it's more or less the fact that she has better resources and way more experience highly advanced technology
The fact that the tube breaks and it still works means it's an excessive part, a waste of materials.
I had no trouble believing proctor was the best of the three. The brother seemed like they i don't know had a budget and or resources to me.
Probably because the BoS has better resources and materials, the Railroad and Minutemen probably had to build that thing with old car parts and radios lmao
Nah. It takes REAL skill to make a big mistake and STILL achieve the same end result.
Especially when you factor in that the other two had way less experience with that level of technology, and nowhere near the same quality of tools but still got the job done on their first try.
Imagine what they could do with half of Ingram's tools and workforce, especially now that they finally have some hands-on experience with advanced tech.
Yeah I guess the women who keeps a sky-cruiser afloat is more qualified then mr. Hammerin-plates and captain cringe.
Well she did make the prime bot sooo 🤷🏻♂️
Sturgis build it for me and the pipe did not come off.
Don’t worry it’s just for decoration
Proctor isnt the best, sturges is, he’s only fixed stuff like pipboys and houses, tom tinkers with synths, and proctor is in the second most technical faction, the fact that sturges even made it work is impressive
Enclave was still a better option... But mods aside... I still wouldn't touch the brotherhood even with a 60ft pole or the railroad
Honestly idk why the hell they even give u the option to do it with the other 3 factions, it just seems like bethesda wants u to build it at the airport cause that settlement doesn't really do anything else for u
I chose Sturges and I didn’t notice any tube breaking
What’s with the deathclaw at the start?
I used tinker Tom and had no hose dialogue.
Actually also you can build one from the scientist from Diamond City also
Ingram is just a whole lot of woman
No way the person who works with advanced military tech everyday is a more skilled technician than the dudes from the wasteland who really only work with reclaimed and salvaged civilian tech 🙄 💀
