You are gimping yourself by not being in melee and auto attacking, I wouldn’t recommend staying ranged on a melee spec. Like for example you have a talent which reduced wildfire bomb CD from autos, not to mention the damage.
If you play PvP in melee constantly, then you will die faster than any other class. At least that has been how it was pre-rework… who knows, maybe the new mastery and defensives makes it better to be in melee.
Heads up! You dont want to stack kill command, you want to weave it... think of it like a windwalker monk... trying tk weave kill command into the rotation before hitting other damaging abilities like kill shot and wildfire bomb priority and flanking if speced, then mongoose bite
Tip of the Spear doesn't spend all stacks though this time around with the rework, whenever you Mongoose Bite or Wildfire Bomb. You simply spend a single stack each time. So as long as you keep Wildfire Bomb, Explosive Shot, and Death Chakram on CD, you shouldn't be loosing out on damage by stacking Tip of the Spear. If you can explain why it's a damage loss exactly, then I'm more than interested in knowing why? 🙂 Again like I explained, I haven't "min/maxed" anything. I am simply going based on what logically makes sense, after seeing the descriptions of the talents, and how abilities work.
Your net lose damage spamming kill command in damage... every other kill command is comparable damage to your other abolities, but the off rotation kill command dmaage is balls and you should still prioritize the same major skills as always, wildfire bomb kill shot mongoose bite ect. Then use kill comand as a set up to buff damage of the next ability use so that the buff compensates for the danage loss on the off rotation kill comands
Might as well ditch MB if you aren't taking the talent under it (Bloody Claws I think?). In S1 you'll rarely use 5 MBs in a 14 second window to make it worth wasting a talent point. It's a very poorly designed talent in that it is worse than Raptor Strike in most cases.
I believe I did mention in the video, that you should prioritize Explosive Shot, multiple times. 🙂 It's hard seeing all procs, when you gotta explain at the same time, as you show the rotation.
It always have been. 🙂 People who play SV Hunter, by using mongoose bite most of the time while in melee, will die VERY fast. I'd say we have only gotten maybe 20% more ranged, than it is currently in Dragonflight.
I understand the confusion then hehe. It does seem weird to have a Hunter be ranged, when they pack a sword on their back. 😂 Hope you enjoy the reworked Hunter in TWW! 😊
Oh no, Coordinated Assault still works on the same atrocious system that's dependent on your pet's focus dump... I don't know if any of you spent any time to digest how horrible this design is, but basically it only activates off of empowered pet attacks (when focus is over 50%) and you basically either have a laughable 20% direct damage increase for Wildfire Bomb or a 50% extra bleed from Kill Shot, which is absolutely insane with Ranger and Serrated Shots. Why is this terrible? Because for one, you need 20 addons to track your pet's focus, when their ability will be empowered so you'll get the actual Coordinated Assault buff, track your cooldowns for when KS comes off cd to prioritize it, and to make everything worse, WfB consumes the buff if it procs mid-flight. The main issue with Survival is that on live with certain builds it just has an obnoxious amount of buttons and waaaaay too many things to track with Wildfire Infusion and all the crazy priority list. At least you have fewer spinning plates which is good. I still think thematically, the Legion version was the best because of traps and all the throwing nonsense, but I doubt it will ever go back to that.
Survival Hunter has gotten yet another rework like.... 2 days ago I think 🤔, to address the specifics of what you mention. 🙂 It's A LOT smoother now! Death Chakram was removed, and Flanking Strike becoming a passive, to remove button bloat. Mongoose Bite works COMPLETELY different now, only stacking Mongoose Fury 3 times and lasting 10 sec, BUT it now resets the buff timer every time you use Mongoose Bite (so no more stress when it comes to seeing those stacks, and the timer on the buff 😅) And both Spearhead and Coordinated Assault works completely different now, with Spearhead simply just increasing your crit chance by 30%, and no longer being tied together with Mongoose Bite... And Coordinated Assault just simply increases your damage by 20% and increases Kill Command resets, instead of forcing you into using Wildfire Bombs and Kill Shot... So thank the lord for all of that! 😂 IMO this is the best Survival Hunter version that has ever been in the game, after the resent updates I mentioned. 🙂
@@cc66bb44 sentinel is broken good (like INSANELY), but NEVER expect an overperforming spec in beta to stay top. never focus on DPS on beta because it never release without dmg tuning. Right now better focus on fluidity and utility
@@cc66bb44 it does insane damage at the moment, so it's hard to judge it. A few Hero Talents trees are like this at the moment, so it makes it very hard to judge them. my understanding is that you want high crit, stack any dots, then burst with ca, sh, mb

not for pvp. this is exactly how you play SV for pvp.

Wait, they removed serpent sting? are they replacing it with something else?
Serpent Sting is becoming a passive effect, on a specific spell for each spec. So we won’t have a spell to press anymore.
how's surv at brawling up in enemies face now?
also
how's the damage. compared to ret, dh, warrior, and fdk?
Sentinel is broken, so it's hard to tell. Packleader seems pretty comparable, but all classes need tuning
