I am just so happy this happened and watched a few of these games live ❤ My favorite people together again playing some BGs. What makes this amazing is the rarity in the rate that it happens so enjoy it for the moment and see it again in a few months.
I love playing Duos, but having to pair up with random guys that don't know what they're doing is just so frustating. One case is when they leave, which is fine since you get no penalty, tho one annoying thing that happened to me was someone leaving in a turn where they rolled my entire comp on their side which just feels stupid that the moment you can turn the game around they give up. The other one are the trolls that just sell their entire board if either your or his board isn't doing well. If someone does that you lose 50-60 pts. and it's completely out of your control, there'a an option to report people for purposedly losing a match BUT you can't report teamates, so the best thing you can do is add the guys you just fought, hope they speak your language, and ask them to report your teamate for you. This is common too, you will often see 4th place gone very early in the game with one of the sides having no board, if you pay attention they even spam emote while doing it. Last thing I wanna bring up is that everyone just plays Duos as if it was normal battlegrounds, meaning that apart from the Passing machanic and Passenger in 1, NOBODY knows how to use Duo card. There's a Naga card that allows you to mass dupe any tavern spell by passing Golden Eyes and it can be combo'd with golden touch or ballers for some crazy plays, but this concept is always left as theory because it requires you to pass a Golden Eyes and then receive it back. Your teamate will NEVER pass back Golden Eyes, they will take that card and shove it on random fodder before selling it. Which is why watching Mr.Streamer play WellWisher felt so nice, if I do it nothing happens because my teamate is dumb, but have a friend in the other side and the card is absolutely broken. The gamemode is great, but it needs changes, maybe a temporary chat with your teamate to express more than "Yes", "No", "?" and "Pass" and perhaps extend to a 8 duos battle so that games can last further than turn 8 and not be an incredibly messy stat battle to see who can get the bigger bloodgems.
If you queue solo and your partner leaves before top 4 (top 2 teams I guess), you don't lose MMR. It's frustrating when it happens, but it's nice they thought of it.

Never played duos, but having your partner quit just seems like an insta lose... Too much reliance on unknown 3rd parties is why i havent tried it yet

IMO Duos should be 8 teams of 2 so the matches actually take some time, this current version its just as was said, we just started buffing
