My 82 year old grandmother has been smoking most of her life. We got her a vape to try and get her away from the cigarettes. Now she just sits outside with a lit cigarette in one hand and a vape in the other.
@@Handslikechess yeah honestly my grandmother just at that age where nobody can make her do anything she doesn’t want to do. We won’t try to force her into doing anything or else she’ll raise the hellfire of a thousand suns. All we can do is try and encourage her but at the end of the day, she’s just going to do whatever she wants.
I started smoking cannabis years ago as a teenage, switched to cigarettes. Spent my whole life fighting Cigarettes addiction. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder, got diagnosed with cptsd. Not until my mom recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.
Can you help me with the reliable source 🙏. I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Germany. I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them
YES very sure of Mr.medmushies. I have the same experience with anxiety, depression, BPD and addiction and Mushrooms definitely made a huge huge difference to why am clean today.
Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. This mental health treatment works for me too. Half micro doses do the trick for me. At least a few days at a time with lengthy time in between. Never addictive. Thank you for sharing this point!
I was personally able to quit smoking entirely by using vapes, and then to quit vapes by diluting the nicotine to essentially zero over time. However my experience is probably not typical, and my method was semi-accidental. My favorite flavor was running low, so I ended up diluting it multiple times with a zero-nicotine version, intending to order the "real" stuff soon. A few weeks later I did the math and realized that the nicotine I was consuming was so low as to be essentially zero. A few weeks later I put down the vape pen, and almost 10 years later, haven't consumed any nicotine since.
this is how every addiction is preferably handed, you gotta remember you built the habit up over time so now you need to simply reverse the order and slowly ween yourself back till you're back to the starting point of your addiction and you can quit.
One thing that is often overlooked is the accessibility of vaping. You don't have to go outside to vape. You don't even need to take a 5 minute break, you can just take a quick puff and get back to it. This level of accessibility leads down a road of indulgence that requires a tremendous amount of discipline to control. Be careful folks, this stuff is pernicious.
I don't know what pernicious means, but I agree with you. I've been vaping during my breaks to avoid the smell of cigarettes. But now I vape the whole 45 minute walk to work, and back. I don't want to know how much more nicotine I consume because it's so close at hand compared to cigarettes.
You're exactly right. In my country smoking cigarettes is not an easy thing to do, it's a mission. It's also significantly more expensive than vapes ($25 for 4 days of vape compared to $65 for 1 day of cigarettes - this is Australia) Vaping? You can hit that anywhere, "zero" it and just keep going with no fines.
@@jordancruikshank1986hey mate I looked into it for myself based off Australian studies and compared to when I smoked cigarettes, my average consumption is over 20 times higher over the course of a week compared to cigarettes. Vaping definitely has its negatives ergo is so freaking addictive.
@@dingobonza I was just about to mention "Zero-ing" it. Not only is it easy and smell proof, the smoke is light enough where I can just hold it in for a few seconds and slowly breathe out and no smoke is seen.
Im using a vape to quit smoking. Day 16 no cigarettes and I've already cut the nicotine in half. Each week I will lower the nicotine until I'm fine on 0. Been smoking over 20yrs and chain smoked 2 packs a day. Vaping might not be good for you but it's helping me quit without major withdrawals so im greatful.
don't be afraid to slow down the weening process. It gets a little harder to adapt to lower nicotine quantities as one reaches the smaller end. It took me 4 years to quit the vape, but it is definitely the reason i was able to quit cigarettes. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavor. I haven't vaped in 6 years and i no longer experiences any nicotine cravings. With enough time you can escape them entirely.
@@captainmorgan2530 it worked for me. Same way they said. They vaped and stopped smoking. Then they started lowering the nicotine. Once it’s at zero find something else to do with your hands. Keep things in your hands. Crocheting is a good one because you have to use both hands. I started smoking at 13 and finally quit at 42 years old. At one point I was smoking 4 packs a day. Not good. Just remember smoking/vaping isn’t good. Good luck
smoked for 10 years, switched to vaping for 10 years, when I finally decided to quit all together it was as simple as some Nicorette gum for a few weeks. I was pretty amazed how easy it was honestly and wondered why I didn't try sooner. I also jogged and exercised a lot while vaping, something I couldn't easily do while smoking.
Yea, switching from tobacco to vape, where I could slowly reduce the amount of nicotine, was crucial in my quitting journey. Still keep some zero nic around if I get a bad craving.
I smoked for 37 years and switched to vaping 10 years ago. The first thing I noticed was my smoker's cough disappeared. Then I started to breathe better and have more energy, i also had my sense of taste and smell return. My doctor says my lungs are clear and is very happy i stopped smoking cigarettes. According to the Royal College Of Physicians in the UK and my primary care doctor, vaping is at least 95% safer than smoking combustible tobacco cigarettes.
I've read countless articles about which is safer and none of them give a straightforward answer, it's always "both are unhealthy and should be avoided". If people are going to smoke/vape anyway the CDC and all these PHD's should at least give us the facts and let us decide for ourselves.
@@C-S. Truth is we're scared of the possible outcomes that we haven't seen yet. Just remember that tobacco was even recommended by doctors and deemed safe by many, and truth was the opposite. No one wants to say that vaping is OK due to the risks that it isn't. There's not enough studies yet. Buuuut... It's safer than smoking. No doubt in that. It's kind of a no-brainer. Smoking makes you literally inhale smoke.
@C-S. They avoid saying 1 over the other so people can't come back in 10-20 years and sue them saying, "but you said it was safer." Easier to just say, neither is good for you
I smoked a pack a day for 22 years. 5 years ago, I switched to vaping. I feel a million times better, I can smell the air around me better, and I'm saving a lot of money. Now, on the rare occasion that I do smoke a cigarette, it's completely disgusting to me and I feel like my blood has been swapped out for wet concrete.
I'm a vaper since 2k17 and exactly the same. Taste and smell it was the biggest difference after 14 days without a cigarette, I couldn't even taste the liquid flavour for a week
Good for you. The majority of the argument against vaping seems to consist of only 2 things. 1- The few harmful additives such as diacetyl which have resulted in injury but are generally no longer used in commercial vape products. 2- It's too new to say for sure how dangerous it is. Anecdotal evidence seems to be mostly favorable for vaping, and hopefully over time it will prove to be the much safer alternative.
From someone who smoked, then vaped, then quit, both had a major impact on my lungs and the massive difference in my breathing, running, swimming, after quitting spoke volumes.
Good for you, bruv. Still on the vape myself, but it's part of my coping mechanisms so I'm at peace with this for the time being. Best thing for ones lungs is fresh air ^^
@@dfdemt all of it. I vaped to replace smoking because it was *slightly* better, didn’t smell, no phlegm, then quit all together after vaping for a year or so.
I started smoking when I was 13-14 years old. I had aortic aneurysm surgery when I was 24 years old. Also, my heart valve is bicuspid from birth. I didn't smoke for a while and then I started again. Last year I quit smoking for 4-5 months and smoked electronic cigarettes. My breathing improved, my sense of taste and smell improved. But after a while, I had heart palpitations and numbness in my tongue due to nicotine accumulation. Then I went back to smoking. 2 months ago, a tumor was detected in the bladder and the tumor was removed by surgery. So it's early stage bladder cancer. I don't smoke anymore and I stay away from electronic cigarettes. Life is too short for regrets.
I used to smoke 2 packs sometimes even 3 packs a day for 13 years. I had a lot of breathing problems because of it. I finally decided to quit August of last year after seeing my own mom quit smoking after 38 years for her. She used vaping to quit and so did I. Definitely can tell the changes in my health because I’m breathing way better and not waking up every day coughing nonstop. I think what helped me was not just vaping, but having a support system and knowing that someone else is doing the same thing that helped me through it. Now mom is talking about quitting vaping and she’s slowing down how much she vapes to ween herself off of that. It might take a little longer for me because I do enjoy the flavor, but it probably is best to quit vaping as well. It may not be the healthiest alternative, but for some people it does help them quit. A long journey that has beneficial results in the end. I commend anyone making the choice to quit.
u just weak, the human body can adapt well, even if u put snake venom into ur body every day u will not die from it. look Our grandfathers allmost all is heavy smokers, on average they died at the age of 90+ whereas now even if we don't smoke, good luck if they make it past 60 years the more ur body is treated with pampering, the weaker it will become
I smoked cigarettes for 15 years, almost a pack a day. In 2019 I switched to vaping. I now smoke maybe 2-4 cigarettes a year and can’t stand the taste anymore. I haven’t been able to quit vaping though. I’m in the camp that believes both are bad for you but from what I’ve experienced cigarettes are worse, I had more side effects.
Yea, ive been trying to quit vapes, and i cant (ive quit cigarettes twice in the past). I think im gonna switch back to cigs, to quit vape, then quit cigs. A few of my friends done it that way.
I have been vaping for 10 years this year, My lungs are crystal clear on a scan, I smoked cigs for 15 years, I have vaped at least 50k worth of juice in my lifetime already, I do not see how this video is proving that it could even remotely be unsafe, I also used to be a rather large producer of the e-juice - making it 30 60 and 120 ml at a time, I have never in the 10 years I have been vaping heard of anyone being sick or hurt from safely made vape juice. Love what you do @The Infographics Show , I have been watching your videos for a very long time and never commented.
I think it’s mostly because some people don’t bother to buy high-quality Vapes but instead go for the cheap, low-quality, Chinese made vapes which contain harmful chemicals and even small particles of metal and plastic.
I was a pack a day smoker for about 15 years. I’ve been vaping for 2 years and occasionally switch back to cigarettes when I travel to countries where vaping is illegal. Apart from how much better I feel physically while vaping, I’d have to say that because the ritual of smoking is gone, I don’t take 10 minutes every hour to smoke. I have more time and hit the vape when I need a boost. Food also tastes better. I know I should be quitting entirely but i think switching to vapes is a step in the right direction.
I have asthma as a result of second hand smoke from my father. Being around cigarettes i can't breathe and have to leave the room. 4 years ago he started vaping instead of smoking, and i can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that it has helped both of us. He isn't coughing all the time, has more energy, and i can be in the same room as him without any ill effects. I have no trouble breathing when someone is vaping near me.
@@surelyyeah I've seen a lot of comments talking about how switching to vaping has helped them ( not couching as much etc.) so I'm thinking maybe it's because they were all smokers before
I just quit smoking and shifted to vaping one week ago and what I realized is that I don't feel back/lung sore when I wake up in the morning and does not have bitter taste and very bad breath because of the tobacco. Vape set me free for 22 years of cigarette addiction. I don't cough anymore and I don't feel very tired the whole day in my shop and I don't feel sleepy now.
I work in a high stress job and there were a lot of smokers as a result. Thanks to E-Cigarettes almost all of them have quit smoking. Most people have moved from smoking to vaping to quitting. Only a few have gone back to smoking or vaping but honestly it's pretty impressive to see so few people in the smoking area anymore.
Was a smoker for 10 years, luckily i switched to vaping weeks before the pandemic started so it kinda motivated me to be consistent in vaping and to totally stop smoking till now. Been cigarette free for over 3 years now and i can certainly say from experience that vaping made my health status better. My breathing is better, i can smell and taste better, vaping is definitely a safer alternative than smoking but i don't recommend vaping if you are a none smoker to begin with.
the same experience I have coughed like a freak from cigarettes smoking for 35 years switched to iqos and after vaping almost 4 years now my cough is breaking and breathing laugh (has asthma) but almost completely free from it now too
I used to smoke 10 cigs a day then switched to vaping, first thing I noticed is that I can now do sports. Back when I was a smoker, running 5 miles would've been unthinkable. Vaping doesn't seem to limit my respiratory functions the way smoking did, which is all that matters to me.
Wow i’m glad you can speak for the entire human population based on your personal experience. Case closed, everyone. Time to go home. This guy has all the evidence we will ever need.
I smoked for about 8 years. Like most, after i started vaping i noticed a difference. But the best thing ive done was just stop all my nicotine intake. Switching to vaping because its safer is like like a John Oliver quote "eating this whole bar of soap would be nuts, so im going to eat half of it"
I quit smoking by vaping and then was able to quit vaping. I have low blood pressure and it turns out the nicotine was critical at keeping it stable. I was feeling faint for a while before I realized I needed to increase my salt pill intake to compensate. So the vaso-constriction isn't always bad. Nicotine also has applications as a booster to pain killers. It's possible finding a way to have cleaner nicotine might actually see it brought back as a medicine for some cases.
As someone who fully switched from smoking to vaping about 5 years ago I'm incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to not smoke anymore. I'm not in a place to be able to work my way off nicotine entirely just yet as I'm working on a different goal currently but I'll get there. Vaping has given me to ability to be physical again while not smelling awful and not being nearly as cloudy or light headed.
Every bit of research I've ever read or come into contact with. Vaping is better than tobacco, but not by much. And frankly, believing an addict about a drug is an exercise in foolishness. @@isaacheatley7989

Like the lowing of deaths in BC Canada and surrounding provinces or in some places in Europe where safe supply is available for addicts and other support mechanisms are more widely available.
You are so right. I smoked for 8 years and switched to vaping. I immediately lost my smokers cough and was able to bike and run again. Family member commented on how much healthier I looked right away. Vaping definitely isn't good for you and I'm trying to cut back but it is not the same monster that cigarettes are.
I had a coworker who had been smoking since he was 18, all through the army, would go through about a half a box a day. Would buy several hundred bucks worth of cigs on wholesale. @@deutscher1a more like praising a 15 mph hit into a wall vs a 100 mph hit into a wall. Vaping certainly does deserve praise over smoking when one involves 2-3 chemicals that are known and historically used in medicine, food, and the air. The other involves hundreds of chemicals with known toxicity. You know the PG and VG that make up eliquid? Did you know hospitals fog their air with it because PG kills bacteria in the air? Our body is well equipped to metabolize both without issue. @@robert-h2x nothing is safe. The goal of vaping is to get a cleaner way to get nicotine without breaking the whole ritual habit. And during the last 15 years we can claim vaping in fact saved many smoker from lung/throat cancer.
1) So to sum up the video.. Vaping is a safer alternative to cigarettes' as long as you avoid vape liquids that contain Diacetyl and Vitamin E Acetate (Fun fact, most liquids don't actually contain either of these no-a-days). 2) The argument that "it could be dangerous in future" isn't really an argument. 3) 3-4 ingredients in Vape juice vs 600 harmful chemicals in Cigarettes. 4) For people that say that have tried a vape and it makes them cough more.. Vaping and smoking have different sensations on the throat. So of course your throat would be more irritated when inhaling vapor. Also things like wattage of the vape, strength of nicotine, and type of flavors, all have an affect on how it feels on your throat when you inhale it. 5) I'm not saying that vaping is "safe". I agree that clean air is better that smoking or vaping. What I am saying is that vaping is a safer alternative to smoking, and can be an effective tool for those trying to quite smoking.
Vitamin E acetate was and is used exclusively in counterfeit THC cartridges as a thickening agent to give the liquid the same viscosity of high end thc extracts. That was the number 1 culprit for popcorn lung. Most minors would lie about using THC so they would claim it was a nicotine vape. Many eventually admitted it.
Couldn’t agree more A video like this one is more harmful than both Smoking and Vaping together. Putting smoking and vaping in the same category of harm as if they are similar is just total ignorance. Vape is way way safer than smoking and millions stop smoking through vaping.
Am also on my way to quitting smoking, your message has somehow made me feel more stronger to my intentions, guess there are many who have successfully quit smoking, I wish you all the best and good health brother
Let me just share my perspective on this. I smoked for 27yrs. I have always been an active person and around 35yoa started running marathons. Yes, you read that correctly. To this date, I have completed 12 marathons; 1being an ultramarathon. I completed 7 for LLS and 1 for Pancreatic cancer action network. My PR is 4:57:28. Not bad for a guy who smoked a pack a day for 11 of those 12 marathons. No one complained about us training on sidewalks next to busy roads with passing cars belching out CO. I have been vaping for 8yrs and feel much better. My bp, hear rate and pulse ox are better. My pulse ox is consistently 98-100%. Yes, it happens. I give this background because I feel some important facts/factors have been left out. During the EVALI scare where vaping really got a bad reputation the majority 31 out 34 deaths were directly related to elicit THC laced with vitamin E acetate. The others were known to have pre-existing health concerns. Diacetyl, as mentioned, was found to be in some e-liquid. Most reputable e-liquid companies removed the ingridient from their formulations and replaced them. Vaporizer companies tested their coils/tanks to ensure that metals weren't part of the inhaled vapor. These changes were made from within the industry to put the best product out so as to help the most people quit smoking. Not through government regulation. If you aren't sure if what you are using is safe try looking into what you're using. Is the liquid that you're using made in a certified clean room with ingredients that do not contain carcinogenic chemicals/compounds. I also noticed that the report by the Royal College of Physicians in 2019 that showed a possible 95% in harm reduction by switching from smoking to vaping was not included. The belief in harm reduction is so prevalent in the UK that vaporizers, juice and supplies can be obtained in hospitals. It's the safest means of quitting smoking but that speaks volumes. Anyone who has done their research, as much as they can, will not say that vaping is 100% safe. Nothing in Life is 100% safe. Do your own research and rely on more than just one or two sources. Including only governmental sources(i.e. WHO, CDC) will only show part of the information out there; the part they want you to know. I would like to know if any information was gleamed from vaping industry organizations such as CASA. Just a little nugget to ruminate upon in comparison. Nicotine and caffeine are both naturally occurring stimulants. Caffeine is more addicting. Yet Nicotine is demonized due to its association to smoking. Food for thought.
Its funny that they brought up diacetyl, no vape juice uses it anymore and in the UK I'm pretty sure its illegal to use. Meanwhile its used in cigarettes (about 10X as much as vape juice when it was used) and nothing said about it. Do you know why? Because nobody has ever had "popcorn lung" from cigarettes. Vitamin E acetate was never in vape juice, it was in illegal blackmarket distillate carts. Also juice with zero nicotine has zero nicotine. This video is full of half truths
After 2 months of vaping I noticed an increased lung capacity(I live on the fifth floor, no elevator). Then I noticed, that I could push back whitening my teeth at the dentist with first 2 months, now 4 months. In between these two points my sense of smell and taste improved slightly. Where I had maybe once a year as a smoker where I felt motivated to quit, I now have 5-6 times a year where I feel today is the day to also quit vaping. Also, here in Europe, it is heavily regulated what chemicals you're allowed to put in. The FDA takes a more 'laissez faire' approach as it is more compromised by Big Business.
Worked for me. Been smoke-free for almost seven years, and I couldn't have done it without vaporizers. I tried everything: gum, patches, child-turkey, etc.... It is ABSOLUTELY better than smoking.
Would be cool to see a series on Nicotine itself as a chemical. I’m not saying go consume nicotine but there has been some preliminary research that shows smokers who lived to old age are less likely to get Alzheimer’s. They think nicotine could be doing something to prevent the plaque formation in your brain tissue. Again, not saying this is anywhere close to fact but it is interesting imo.
That *would* be an interesting video. Vaguely related, but I remember an older man got treated with his disease by being told to smoke cigarettes and I wondered if that would really help mich in the long run.
Essential tremors runs in both sides of our family and according to the neurologist is tied to the longevity Gene. I didn't get the tremors at age 50 like the rest did and the neurologist asked if I smoked. Yes I did but I take straight nicotine now. He said that the nicotine prevents the essential tremors from setting in until much later in life if you get it at all.
That last part kinda bugged me. Out of my high school friend group (late 80s), about 90% of us smoked cigarettes a group of about 50 people. When vaping became available, most of us were still smoking (around 2012). All but one of us have tried vaping as an alternative. Only two still use cigarettes and about half the remainder still use vapes. the rest have quit, mainly because vapes were there to bridge the transition. My little bit of data may not be exactly scientific but there it is for what it's worth. I still vape at 6mg nic. I'm convinced that I'd probably be dead or on oxygen by now if I continued with cigs. Vapes may not be healthy but the world is a lot better with them in it.
I gave up smoking 6 months ago after a health scare. I use a vape just now but hoping I can quit that too. I was spending £175 a week on cigs ! The things I’ve been able to buy and treat my grandkids has get me going. If I can do it, You can do it !! GOOD LUCK

I was a 35 yr smoker and tried quitting several times. In 2012 I decided to try vaping. Even if all it did was slow my smoking down, I'd be better off. The transition was very easy and I consider myself a non-smoker now. I get a DOT physical once a year to keep my CDL and the doctors tell me my lungs are clear as a bell. People vape all over the world. They're putting vape shops in hospitals in England to help people quit smoking. Crazy how "EVOLI" only happened in the US where a couple of geniuses put vitamin E in illegal THC carts.
Yup they're really trying to lean into that popcorn lung story. If that is the best argument against vaping they got, then the whole opinion seems pretty weak to me. My fear is that if vaping continues to be vilified, more people will just not try to quit cigs.
Not only that, the vape industry self regulated when diacytle and other "aldehydes" came about. You'd be hard pressed to find any company thats legit use any of those sorts of ingredients.
Smoking is much worse, and it's not even close. Maybe in 10 years they find that long term vaping has some bad effect, but I'll take that over the very definite bad effects of smoking. I smoked for almost 40 years, the last 15 of it 3 packs a day. I bought an e-cig in 2011 and never went back to smoking. Within a month my cough was gone and I felt so much better. I weened off the nicotine over time and I now don't use it at all. I've also saved many thousands of dollars. Please don't buy in to the "They are both bad" argument. While it may be true to some extent, it diminishes the clear advantages of switching to vape. I've been vaping for 13 years now and I still feel much better than I ever did smoking.

I noticed the improvements within 2 days. I wasn't waking up feeling like I hadn't slept at all, even after 8 hours of sleep, like how I used to feel back when I still smoked. My sense of taste and smell improved exponentially over the next few weeks. The dry cough disappeared, painful chest gone in a few weeks, etc. Best of all, I didn't get breathless as I used to after walking up a single flight of stairs. My next goal will be to stop vaping too, because I think it's time nicotine and I parted ways. By the way, I'm 44.
I don't plan to smoke or vape, but all I know is I would rather walk through a vape cloud over cigarette smoke any day of the week. Even if they're both equally bad, one still smells significantly more gross.
I was a smoker for about 10 years, and finally quit back in 2011. I used a nicotine-free e-cigarette to help me quit, and then to help me not be tempted to ask someone else for a smoke at social events for about a year and a half. I still vape THC oil, but I won't ever touch nicotine again.
i smoked since i was 15 years old. when tobacco became illegal for those under 21 I almost immediately swapped to vaping as it was a lot easier to get vapes than tobacco. im now 24 and have completely stopped smoking cigs and didnt go back to the cigs even though i turned 21 and could legally buy the cigs less than two months later. my lung health despite still vaping has only improved over these last few years. short answer is that you should avoid smoking all together but if you smoke cigs, vaping is the much safer alternative.
not to mention that including a study on the affects of TCH based vaping in an argument for nicotine products ( regardless of the weak unprovable statement that the results may be skewed due to the legality of cannabis) is a completely mute point on the affects of nicotine vaping within the context of the argument.
I'm 28 right now, smoked for 10 years since the age of 17/18, Decided to try a vape instead about 6 months ago, and guess what ! Did not smoke a single cigarette since then, not even one, now everything is better, can beath, can exercise, saved tons of money. Literally vaping helped a lot, health wise and financially.
Chewing mostly has a separate increased risk of mouth cancers that smokers don't really develop, for obvious reasons, impact on lungs is minimal to none
Why do you need any comparison considering all these products? It is obvious that all of them are bad for human body and health condition. Don’t try to fool yourself. There is no ”safe” smoking
Smoked for 17 years and quit about 9 years ago when I switched to Vaping. Since then I don't cough, am rarely ever sick, when I used to get sick many times a year. I can breathe much better, feel like I have more energy, and have even saved a bunch of money. Overall, my health has been so much better with Vaping than it was with smoking. With the millions of others who have the same story, although we don't yet know what the long term effects will be, at least in the short term it sure seems like Vaping is a far better option for Nicotine users.
Please please please please PLEASE 🙏🥺 Make a separate video like this, but comparing cannabis vaping to tobacco vaping. Many times the term "vaping" is interchangeable when talking about the both of them, however, they are not the same and health effects are different. Because their in no stated difference (usually, you guys got it right 👍🏾), it leads to misinformation about the effects of "vaping", because they are usually referring to tobacco vaping. Cannabis users that vape would love to know cannabis vaping effects on our health.
A nurse told me that propylene glycol is used to break off the tar on lungs from smoking to free up the cilia. Which is why smokers tend to cough hard af for a few weeks when they start vaping. It helped me quit smoking
vaping is not meant to be a healthier option from smoking, its meant to be a safer option. i struggled for years to quit smoking with no success, vaping really helped and eventually got me off of cigarettes. i have been smoke free now for over a year. my taste, and sense of smell has returned. i feel no withdraw symptoms. and now i am working on cutting vaping totally out by the end of this year.
It’s been 2 months without vaping I won’t lie but it feels great I’m actually able to get more results out the gym too, cycling been a lot easier too, thought it wasn’t possible to quit but here I am writing this without a single craving, I just gave that vape to someone in exchange to pay for my gym membership 😭
I've been struggling to quit smoking since I remember, but for the past year that I've been vaping I never thought about going back, I started with 50 mg , cut back the nic , and now I vape 20 mg salt nic, I'm not breathing heavily anymore, I can walk up the stairs much easily. I don't make the hissing sound while breathing, I know vaping is not good for me either, but at least I'm not smoking.
Smoked for 20 years. Vaped for 5 years. IMHO smoking is a thousand times worse. Even after just 5 years, my lung feels much more comfortable and a lot less coughing.
I smoked 27 years, quit 2 years ago. I never got into vaping. It felt too heavy for my lungs and I coughed up oily stuff.. gave me anxiety. Just nicotine tablets for me.
I've been getting mouth sores since i started vaping. It's very painful, and i wish I had stayed smoking cigarettes. I didn't have this problem before.
I smoked ever since i was 15 years old. 5 years off cigarettes now. It took some time to find the right vape experience for me personally, but when i did, i no longer craved cigs. Nowadays I mix my own eliquid so I know all the chemicals that are in it. And by the way, when I smoked I couldn't run 100 meters without getting out of breath. Now I can run ten times longer. Just my experience.
I stopped vaping 3 days ago after a year of vaping. Decided just to try cold turkey and its been pretty easy actually. Withdrawal symptoms are very mild, and just keeping myself buzy makes it very very bearable.
Ok I took this video seriously until you said people don't end up quitting smoking with vaping. I smoked for over 30 years and quit with vapes and I know a lot of other people that did also.
My own experience, vaping got me to quit cigarettes and my lungs feel better. The problem researching vaping is that there are more variables. Like how old is the ejuice you are using. Or are you cleaning your mod or vape device, using new cotton, at least once a week. You can't say using a never cleaned mod with bacteria and fungus growing in it is the same as smoking a clean one. Also there are the disposable vape pens which supposedly are worse. I've met many others who switched from cigarettes to vaping completely too. Researchers can manipulate numbers any way they want to say what they want.
I smoked for many years, and have been vaping now for about 8 years. I can say from my experience that vaping has had far less negative affects on my lungs than the smoking ever did.
Thankyou infographics show for you explaining to me that smoking is bad for your health. I just got out of my time machine from 1672 and was about to stock up at a tobacconist.
I used a vape pen to quit smoking cigarettes. What was fantastic to me was the fact that you could buy vape juice that had smaller and smaller quantities of nicotine in the juice. Use a bottle or two and then switch to a juice that contained less nicotine. After 7 or 8 weeks of gradually tapering off I could toss the vape pen. I haven't had a cigarette, or have done any vaping, in 8 years. If you really want to quit smoking cigarettes I recommend vaping.
I started smoking vapes in 2021. I quit a few days ago and I never want to stop either of them. I’d love to see a video on essential oil vapes that are zero nicotine.
Vaping helped me quit smoking for 4 years. Now I’m waning off vaping by lower nicotine. It’s very hard to quit nicotine. But popcorn lungs is caused by that popcorn flavoring which all vapes stopped using. I’m vaping as I type this. Feels good.
That's the key difference I see with vaping, being able to mix in 0mg nic juice and tappering off. I've done it and it worked. Once I was on 0 nic it was a chore to manage the logistics of vaping without the physical addiction prompting me to want to vape. Back on it these days because I'm a trainwreck here n there and make poor choices with regards to myself ^_^'
"It’s very hard to quit nicotine".... I find it helps to not say stuff like that, but say the opposite, "Its easier than I thought to quite nicotine" because it is.
I work at a vape shop and I just got down to 0 nic. I encourage my customers to lower their nicotine and try to kick it completely, used to smoke 2 packs of reds a day a decade ago
I was vaping for 79 years 20 pods a day Cherry flavor 10kg/ml nicsalts. I successfully quit and now I feel much better since I switched to tobacco and cigarettes
Vaping has been around since 2001, yet we “don’t know the long term effects”….. I’ve been vaping since 2011, and have worked in the industry running a lab where we made ejuice. I’ve personally been through every purity cert and SDS for every ingredient used in ejuice. I also have medical documentation of my lung function after smoking for 13 years, at 31 I had the lung function of a 47 yr old; and again 2 years after quitting and starting vaping, I had 109% lung function. I’ve been vaping now for 12 years, and have yet to experience anything negative that could even remotely be attributed to vaping. As far as harm: cigarette smoke - over 4000 dangerous compounds and carcinogens, vaping - zero. 🤔.
Vaping is 95% better than smoking. I have witnessed this firsthand. Even after 35 years, all of the bad effects went away and lung capacity has greatly increased!!!
I used to smoke cigs for 16 years and I had allergic asthma, and when i used to wake up in morning it takes me 15 minutes to control my cough and even sometimes i had fainted while coughing, when i switched to vaping I hardly have cough since 2022. I dont know its harmful or what but i have good breathing and feels comfortable while vaping
I personally swapped to vaping fairly easy, but struggled to stop vaping just due to its convienence. Being able to hit them pretty much anywhere is dangerous for me lol
I quittet smoking and vaping because I went Travelling and bought a vaper to smoke less. I started to really like vaping and after one week my vaper broke. became so angry that I stopped both... You can stop it too with the right Motivation
Well yes, but if you want to look cool, healthiest are the fake cigarettes, I heard they taste strange from ex-smokers, but it looks almost like the real deal
Saying that vape is safer than cigarettes is like saying driving 100 miles an hour is safer than driving 200 miles an hour. The truth is anything going into your lungs other than the air we breathe is not good. And even the air we breathe is very questionable.
I smoked every day for years and my buddy got me to start vaping, i still smoke and i still vape... But from my experience i feel better now that i smoke less and vape more... I no longer have a smokers cough and my airways feel cleaner, less restricted, breathing is smoother and i don't have that sort of rasp at the end of a deep breath... I never started vaping to quit smoking and I've never tried to quit nor do i want to... All in all i would recommend vaping to anyone who is a heavy smoker, not to quit but to just cut down.
Infographics show is based on the US. If you actually search data using UK statistics, vapes are encouraged as a tool to quit smoking. Would love to see another video regarding US vs. UK perception of vapes. Public Health England maintains vaping is 95% less harmful than smoking. Mind you, people. UK and Europe in particular have safer regulations than US.
Buuuuuuuuddy if life was that simple as a human being we'd all be eating salads, going for jogs and not murdering one another across the globe hehe ^^ But I get what you're saying, hehe We're dumb creatures with self-destructive tendencies, myself included XD
I quited smoking with vaping. First with the switch from tobacco flavour to sweet flavours. After that I just started slowly dropping the nicotine. When I was at zero I just needed to stop the habbit of vaping. So after some time I just put the thing in the drawer where it it still lays. Been of both for 4 years now. Never been happier..
Going to try this today. I picked up smoking, again, during the pandemic and haven't been good about moderation. Being a teacher gives me lots of stress so I run home to a pack. hope vaping helps me quit.
This video is a prime example why "only talk about things you really understand" is so important. Especially when it comes to health related topics. Yes, nothing but pure air is of course the best solution. Agreed. But telling smokers vaping "is almost as bad" is a ridiculous claim! Replacing thousands of known carcinogenic substances with some "maybe"s, "could"s or "wedon'tknow"s (then come back when you know?!) is undisputedly a very good idea and makes a huge difference. It's not "healthier", but it's by several orders of magnitude less unhealthy. Otherwise you'd see millions of horrible deaths, not just some idiots vaping bizzare stuff.
I stopped smoking when I started vaping. Worked for me, and now I don't stink or hack, the smell doesn't offend others and I can do it indoors with no lasting smell and it doesn't leave tar stains on the walls (not that I've ever smoked indoors, but I've seen what happens over time).
I used vaping to help me smoke. I started to swapping out my habitual smoke breaks throughout each day with vaping, one break at a time, but when I tried to quit smoking I was really committed to it and by the end of the first month or month and a half I had switched entirely off of smoking and over to vaping. I've only gone back to smoking cigarettes for about a year or something in the middle of the last 8 ish years. I quit vaping about six months ago and it's one of the better choices I've made. Saves time, money, your health. You're no longer standing outside in below-freezing temperatures in the snow just to get your nicotine fix. And you breathe so much easier. Quitting really is worth the effort and it helps to think about it as gaining a new habit - one that isn't as engrained as smoking - instead of quitting the one you prefer. Once you are over your smoking urges and your preference is no longer appealing to you, then it makes it easier to quit everything, because if you're truly hooked on stogies, you aren't as likely to want to keep vaping. This is based on personal experience, but having a goal in mind and sticking to it will help you balance the mental and physical.
" i can breathe in about 20% more on a big pull in my lungs".... Awsome but now you got to stop talking like that... "Big pull in your lungs"... Rofl Air is not weed.
My 82 year old grandmother has been smoking most of her life. We got her a vape to try and get her away from the cigarettes. Now she just sits outside with a lit cigarette in one hand and a vape in the other.
NO WAY😂
edit: thanks for the likes people 🥰

She trying to balance things🤣
Yup she‘ll just sit there and take puffs of each one
@@Handslikechess yeah honestly my grandmother just at that age where nobody can make her do anything she doesn’t want to do. I was a pack a day smoker for 20 years and I completely switched to vaping and I can tell you that smoking is most certainly worse.
Two pack a day smoker here; I absolutely second this.
EDIT: Ex-two pack a day, smoker. Stopped in August of 2022 so just over a year now vaping.
I’m getting there, bec of my vape I’m down to 1 pack a week. Slowly getting it out of my system.
Was a Two pack a day smoker. Vaping over 10 years now. Only have had health benefits from vaping. So I 3rd this.
Still try and get off all smoking, vaping, ect.

No doubts shrooms are 100% blessings from nature. Indeed nature's little miracles
How do I find him? Is he on Facebook
Wow Your accidental idea is wonderful !
this is how every addiction is preferably handed, you gotta remember you built the habit up over time so now you need to simply reverse the order and slowly ween yourself back till you're back to the starting point of your addiction and you can quit.
This how I thought it was always intended to be used.
You're a genius
@@jasperklein8608 It is
One thing that is often overlooked is the accessibility of vaping.
Dude this comment!!! Underrated asf
How did that go for you? Did it work?
THIS is how vaping should be used - to wean off of the addictive carcinogens, not to replace them in a propylene glycol and ether based concentrate
any update?
don't be afraid to slow down the weening process.
Wtf were you vaping in 2013?
Yea, switching from tobacco to vape, where I could slowly reduce the amount of nicotine, was crucial in my quitting journey. Still keep some zero nic around if I get a bad craving.

Then I started to breathe better and have more energy, i also had my sense of taste and smell return. My doctor says my lungs are clear and is very happy i stopped smoking cigarettes.
According to the Royal College Of Physicians in the UK and my primary care doctor, vaping is at least 95% safer than smoking combustible tobacco cigarettes.
absolutely. well done.
@C-S. They avoid saying 1 over the other so people can't come back in 10-20 years and sue them saying, "but you said it was safer." Easier to just say, neither is good for you
this is the comment i've been looking for.. thanks.
Even better, just stop vaping too!
I'm a vaper since 2k17 and exactly the same. Taste and smell it was the biggest difference after 14 days without a cigarette, I couldn't even taste the liquid flavour for a week
That wet concrete blood feeling sounds alarming and like something deeper
Quitting is best. Congrats.
After quitting what? Smoking cigarettes or all of it all together?

100% agree. No more morning coughing fit and no more being winded going up two flights of stairs.
Yea, ive been trying to quit vapes, and i cant (ive quit cigarettes twice in the past). I think im gonna switch back to cigs, to quit vape, then quit cigs. A few of my friends done it that way.
Alcohol consumption causes more deaths than smoking cigarettes

Been cigarette free for over 3 years now and i can certainly say from experience that vaping made my health status better. My breathing is better, i can smell and taste better, vaping is definitely a safer alternative than smoking but i don't recommend vaping if you are a none smoker to begin with.

I used to smoke 10 cigs a day then switched to vaping, first thing I noticed is that I can now do sports. Back when I was a smoker, running 5 miles would've been unthinkable. Vaping doesn't seem to limit my respiratory functions the way smoking did, which is all that matters to me.
There is no debate. I did both and I can with 100% certainty tell everyone that smoking is WAY worse.

vaping is Nicotine without the cigarette chemicals
@@TheCoreyism still not safe
Couldn’t agree more
A video like this one is more harmful than both Smoking and Vaping together.
Putting smoking and vaping in the same category of harm as if they are similar is just total ignorance.
Vape is way way safer than smoking and millions stop smoking through vaping.

Good to listen to You Bro! Im Starting my quiting from now ! After 16 years of everyday smoking. 💚💚💚 Bless Ya Lungs Bro!
Am also on my way to quitting smoking, your message has somehow made me feel more stronger to my intentions, guess there are many who have successfully quit smoking, I wish you all the best and good health brother
I did almost two packs a day. Switched to vaping. Took me a while to stop vaping, but I eventually did that too! Vaping helped me.
Thank you.
100% all of this!!!
Still no answer. Vaping or smoking? I once started vaping and got lung infection. Never happened with tobacco
👍🏾👍🏾
I would be impressed if they knew what CASA is.
@@420southcitykid tbh the $16 fake carts made in some guys basement are to blame
@@rushyy8765 yeah pretty sure i mentioned vitamin e which is what was being added to those blackmarket carts.

Would be cool to see a series on Nicotine itself as a chemical. They think nicotine could be doing something to prevent the plaque formation in your brain tissue. Again, not saying this is anywhere close to fact but it is interesting imo.

Why do you think driving 50 mph is also safer? You want to be safe dont drive at all
I smoked every day for years and my buddy got me to start vaping, i still smoke and i still vape...
"Me? Huh Nothing.... Just hanging around"
lol
Smoked for 15 years, switched to e-cigs for 2 years and it was way easier to quit vaping compared to the 10+ times i tried quitting cigarettes.
How about just not smoking?
Buuuuuuuuddy if life was that simple as a human being we'd all be eating salads, going for jogs and not murdering one another across the globe hehe ^^
But I get what you're saying, hehe
We're dumb creatures with self-destructive tendencies, myself included XD
@@mukkahlol I LOVE vaping and drugs what can I say
@@imafortnutbot5691you can say you’re slowly dying yourself out
@Ko8la2233 at least he or she are going out happy and how they want
Should we switch to blow? Is that why you're here?
Quitting vaping was far worse than trying to quit smoking B&Ms. Even now and again when I go to gas stations all the flavors be tempting.
@@mar1812 I wish you all the strength to battle that demon!
As an average air breather I see this as an absolute win.😁
Alcohol consumption causes more deaths than smoking and vaping combined

I stopped smoking when I started vaping. Worked for me, and now I don't stink or hack, the smell doesn't offend others and I can do it indoors with no lasting smell and it doesn't leave tar stains on the walls (not that I've ever smoked indoors, but I've seen what happens over time).
Also this is omitting the studies made by the Royal College of Physicians stating the harm reduction by 95% compared to a cigarette.
Switching to vaping helped me quit smoking and then i quit vaping... for that im thankful.
I dont plan to ever stop smoking weed though 😂
I quit smoking 2 weeks ago after a heavy lung infection and i already feel like i can breathe in about 20% more on a big pull in my lungs
" i can breathe in about 20% more on a big pull in my lungs".... Awsome but now you got to stop talking like that... "Big pull in your lungs"... Rofl Air is not weed.
