You know having an idea with Mario being alone almost is a very cool idea but surprises me this that this didn’t happen a while back. But now that we finally got the episode I must say that this is truly one of SMG4’s funniest episodes yet. Especially the best joke where Mario is pretending the dummies are his friends and immediately realizes how stupid that was. Overall a very smart idea for an episode still though I am surprised it took him a while.

Here is an idea, what if there is an AU where Mario became evil because his friends left him and now he is killing his friends but he wasn't satisfied so now he is going to other AUs to kill them all.

Alternate Ending: Mario was about to jump off the building, Luigi manages to see him from afar and then he runs out to help him using the BLJ, he goes up the building and tries to save him, Mario seeing Luigi is very happy that he hugs him so tight here Luigi explains that they have been busy with a secret project and they can't reveal what it is but you can invite him so blindfold him and cover his nose to prevent him from seeing and smelling the pizza and everyone at the event is enjoying the biggest pizza in the world the event ends and the gang wins the record and to compensate Mario for abandoning him they decide to give him the pizza. Mario is very happy and starts eating the pizza while his friends saw him feeling proud that Mario has not ruined the event.

This episode confirmed my suspicion that Mario becomes very unstable whenever he is left alone. This made me wonder, “What if Mario’s friends left him alone for too long”? Would he devolve into pure insanity similar to how he was when he was initially zapped by SMG4’s Guardian Pod? Very interesting episode.
Luigi still being mindful and caring for leaving out Mario despite knowing full well how chaotic his brother can be. Also congrats on the album Saiko.

I wouldn't call this a bad episode, but it was a bit heartbreaking. Everyone of Mario's friends left him just for a world record, causing Mario to lose all grasp of reality and go mentally insane to the point of getting hallucinations. And what do they do when Mario arrives? They get mad at him just because he ruined their work and beat him up. It's their fault for not letting Mario know about their absence. I feel awful for Mario.
Still a cool and creative episode, so no disrespect to Luke and his team. It's just kinda sad.

This is the first time , where the chaos was not on Marios behalf for once. Kinda feel bad for him, for getting his ass beat after a literal trauma.
Not the first time bet 100% not the last time. (A previous time the event wasn't mario's fault was the episode where they plugged mario into an experimental machine that would make him smarter against his will)

Accidentally ruin a pizza. And that was enough for the WHOLE KINGODM to abandon him while he goes insane, thinking everyone's gone.
So everyone left Mario alone, thus him having hallucinations and ruins the giant pizza in the end but because they all did that plan. At least Luigi and Meggy felt sorry for leaving him out despite them also ganging up on him for the pizza. SMG4, what a crazy show. But Mario deserves more than that.
No he doesn't. This isn't the first time Mario messed something up and got punished for it. Mario needs to learn actions have consequences. You can't just wrecked a city's worth of hard labor and have a "Get out of Jail free" card. My friends in real life be like:
everyone in the comments is giving their general opinion about this episode and who was in the wrong, so i'll give my own.
I honestly think it was a stupid idea to leave him behind for a world record, and beating him up at the end was entirely just kind of brutal. I thought the cast (excluding mario) would've gotten used to mario's antics, but i guess not.
Once again, it was kind of brutal leaving him to drown in the stress, anxiety, despair and insanity of not having anyone around. this episode has me worried for mario, but also kind of interested if mario would ever have a character arc.
The mario character arc might be the only people he's ever loved and valued above all most pushing him to his limits, leading him once again into despair. and then; mario becomes a villain to kill his friends; (but his only weakness might be hurting his brother.)
Of course, its his own brother that he has to literally murder in order to achieve peace, but i think at the end of his arc i believe he might cause a giant explosion that gives him memory loss, and he might become the stupid mario he used to be.
The crew might treat him less harshly, and even the meanest characters in the SMG4 crew would treat him with more respect if this ever came true.
Back to this episode, this made me genuinely worry for mario, and his mentality if this ever happens again. maybe a new character arc might appear? will he break out in genuine tears when he sees his friends again, but his friends, (excluding his brother, tari and meggy) just will not care and blame any disaster he "caused" that wasnt his fault on him again. maybe this is just me? who knows!!
Im... genuinely surprised by this outcome. Mario's friends left him alone, without leaving so much as a note, making him go insane, you can see how sad mario was, he actually cares for his friends and their wellbeing. This wasnt mario's fault, he's just mario, and I'm surprised he wasnt crying when he finally seen his friends alive. Nobody should blame mario for this.

I've seen a lot of people saying that the rest of the cast was definitely in the wrong here, and I agree. It'd be interesting to see a deeper dive into Mario's response to this, hell, a deeper dive to Mario's response to everything that's happened. Though as much as I hate to dampen the hope of fellow fans, I don't think Mario would change THAT drastically. I could be wrong, maybe the boys have been leading up to something genuinely meaningful with Mario. We can clearly see Mario has gotten more self-aware, both of himself and others around him.
It's not entirely by much, but it's definitely noticable in certain moments. Personally I think Mario won't get a character arc, at least not a major one like Saiko's or Meggy's. I agree with everyone in saying that it'd be really cool if he did, and we got to see the gang have genuine, weighted consequences for their actions. But I'm personally keeping the bar low, nothing against Luke, Kevin or the team, but that's just how the more episodic videos are styled. They have been for a long time, you know?
But I'd love to be proved wrong.
If you look hard enough, and squint a little, you will notice that Mario is and has been undergoing a character arc for a while now. A very, very slow one. Still haven't figured out what direction he is being taken in but I know he is going somewhere.

I can't help but say that sometimes they really exaggerate with Mario. in fact mario would really need his own character arc, but not only to evolve mario himself, but also to make the whole gang understand how important mario was in everyone's existence and how they should be more responsible for his stupidity. slenderman would look great for the role of guardian of fate or something as well as being mario's best friend he should also be a lot more present in smg4 videos.
After being abandoned by the entire city, driven insane, and finally beaten up for what was an accident this time, I could see Mario snap. I could see him say some harsh words to the others, and leave the Mushroom Kingdom. I could see Luigi and maybe even Meggy try to stop him, realizing they went to far.

Perhaps this could be the start of a "Normal Mario" arc where one day, something happens that causes Mario to turn back to the classic Nintendo mascot that we have all grown to love. He soon realizes that SMG4 has corrupted his world, messed it up beyond recognition. The Normal Mario arc paints Mario as the villian as he tries to fix things to how they once were.

For some reason,i wish there was a episode where he doesnt trust anybody anymore because of him getting beaten up for breaking Luigi's trophy of doing absolutely nothing,and in the middle of the episode Mario starts to beat up his friends on purpose so they feel what he felt,it would be a arc called "Untrustful" and the end of the episode would be him realizing the damage he did to his friends,but he decides to do even more damage to the point SMG1 and SMG2 try to stop Mario,but they can't kill him because of his "Avatar of the universe" status,they would try to revive Axol,bringing back SMG0,but uncorrupted and separated from Axol,and Mario would try to fight Melony simply because she was the only one he didnt fight,Mario loses but decides to retreat to get stronger by absorbing memes(or whatever he did in the genesis arc) just to finally kill those who he called "Friends" and live a peaceful life without his younger brother,fake guardians,alive melon and stupid squid,annoying weeb,living anime character and annoying gamer,and his other faker friends. According to what I've searched, autophobia will always be the fear of both being alone and also of oneself, but monophobia will only ever be the former. The fact that the cast would go so far to ghost Mario because of a pizza shows how much patience they lost from Mario. Damn, that was brutal leaving Mario to go insane like that, should’ve at least left one person like Luigi or something.

Alternate ending: Mario breaks down after everything that happened and goes to jump off the roof into a high-rise building. But SMG4 saw this and called for a helicopter. After Mario fell in the helicopter and saw his friends again, so saved him from suicide. And Mario, Luigi and Meggy eat pizza and laugh together in a helicopter, watching everything from the sky... 9:19

Does anyone else find it rather heartbreaking that every time Mario is left alone or is made to believe that nobody likes him, he eventually commits suicide? Like in the "Mario becomes uncanny" episode, where after he is made to believe all of his friends are not even real, he eventually escapes the simulation by jumping off a building with the intentions of offing himself?
Same here, just with a bit more of a comedic twist and Mario already in the clutches of insanity. I find it rather intriguing that without friends or others around, Mario eventually slips down into insanity or into severe depression and eventual suicide. Mario has a tragically fragile mental state and the only thing keeping him alive is the presence of his friends or knowing he's loved.
It almost seems like...someone is trying to make Mario as delusional and depressed as possible. Taking advantage of his fragile mental state. Maybe the past few arcs inflicted a lot of trauma onto Mario than we or his friends realize and Mario is hiding it behind a false mask of stupidity and ignorance.
He's trying so hard to keep himself together, but one misstep and Mario spirals into a very negative mental state and becomes a danger to himself. It also seems like his friends don't even seem to know it's happening or what he's going through mentally. Which is very sad.
When will they learn? Maybe if there's an arc where Mario leaves and the gang has to go find him or something? Maybe then they'll realize they've been horrible friends

This episode reminds me of the SpongeBob episode where everyone left HIM and SPONGEBOB was the one to go crazy cuz he thought him boat mobile was alive and watching him, only to find out that everyone left because of an annual “no SpongeBob day”. In case Your curious, the episode is called “gone”, and is in season 6.

Yeah I thought so too, I thought someone how he would avoid falling on that Pizza by doing a fake-out (like in those cartoons) and land beside the Pizza.
He was hallucinating when he jumped, and everyone was more concerned about the damn pizza (something he probably would have tried to help with) than the fact THAT HE WAS TROWING HIMSELF OFF A BUILDING and then decide to beat the shit out of him after the fact

I kind of knew what was going to happen here, the plot is kind of like National No SpongeBob Day (I can’t remember the title of that episode, but I just remember that’s why everyone leaves SpongeBob alone for a day), except the difference is that instead of doing it for healthy reasons, they did it for a world record. I genuinely hated everyone in this episode for leaving Mario with no indication as to where they went, basically leaving him to rot. As the Joker once said, “you get what you f*ckin deserve!”

Maybe in a moment of breakdown, SMG4's USB effects gets deleted and the original Mario returns, having experienced all that happened and becoming full of rage (and maybe insane) and decided to turn everything back to how they were before SMG4 arrived.
Or maybe SMG4 Mario goes to live with SMG3 in the Internet Graveyard instead. (I mean look at the end scene, he wasn't there)
SMG4 didn't know Mario wasn't always stupid, in fact, he didn't know what he did to Mario at all, so I wouldn't say SMG4 is a bad guy.

This was an interesting episode I gotta say. Mario’s friends all deserting him because he… uh… let’s say ‘ate’ a pizza. I could see this being the start of a new arc where Mario takes some sort of revenge (even though he kind of already got it without knowing it). Amazing job SMG4!
