This was fantastic. You are so lucky that David is open minded about Christmas and willing to try something different. I proposed having Christmas lunch at a hotel this year to my family and it’s a wonder you didn’t hear the howls of outrage halfway across the world in England. We have been doing exactly the same thing and eating exactly the same meal for 60 years. I would love to try something different. Especially something where I don’t have to do most of the work.

I love this video, it's become part of my yearly post-Christmas tradition to watch! I hope you keep doing them, they bring so much joy, I did enjoy the change of scenery this time, looks like you guys had a really great break and it was very in keeping with you both wanting more 'experiences' and less 'things' and also great fun to watch. I went on a Christmas cruise one year and I have to say it was the best idea ever, the boat was incredibly festive while at the same time you are waited on hand and foot and also get to visit warm paradise and go swimming and all that fun, so I would definitely love to go away again in the future, probably when my kids are grown up more and don't require a massive tree for Santa to drop things under. :)

Our Four Seasons here in Arizona is in the desert, it’s gorgeous with cactus and mountains. Especially at Christmas.

Ok I LOVED this video and I have to say I was watching the menu with you & then I said outloud “ i have a severe shellfish allergy so I wonder how safe that menu is” and boom - you guys said david has a shellfish allergy. Thank you for showing me that life doesnt stop because of a newer severe food allergy I have aquired.

A lovely video. At the hotel, watching you show us the rooms, food, and other things I felt as if I had been there myself. Actually, I have had for years this idea of yours to spend Christmas somewhere else and I have done it several times. Ever since I was studying, had left home and my own country,
I have had long weekends in New York, London, Rome....etc. Twice in such countries, where Christmas is not celebrated at all. Even over there radio stations played jingle bells. Happy Christmas.

I would say with the boots David nailed it. Seeing your face was the best! I have thought about doing a hotel or some sort of travel for Christmas, this looked so fun. Closest we came was a trip to the Grand Floridian at Disney World a week before Christmas and it was so fun. Hope you had a wonderful day and enjoy your Boxing Day too!
