Merry Christmas, from me too! Thank you, UA-cam, too, for presenting me. Thanks, all in advance, for letting me be - bubbly again, in your place, you managed to make me reflect in the following. Referring to the description: "Like a river flows" - turned out critical, in my fingering out the chords. By gesture, you managed to make me finger it out. Trying to joke to you: So you do some Swiss "Fonds", fondue, as a Christmas presentation, trying to understand what might be inside the description. I think it alludes to Presley's status as some crooner, which he is neither. Just as your craft his is: very strong. "Like a river flows" - If I am right it's D major, A major, and, like a flow, G major. Applying simple math, the A is next to G, but some howhow the G appeared very much lower than the A, and I think one is mistaken to hold the songs for ussing "sub-dominants only". That was my mistake. I think I found out the reason why: The G chord, referred tot the melody is not the simple G B D, but it's D -- G B- like Bee Gees "thee", "dee" second inversion of the G chord, which is the sub-dominant to D major. Thus, this song is very wisely picked. In fact, it's kind of a Christmas song, as it knows how to transfer that Holy Spirit by "using the majors". What I described here might just be "plagial cadence " in music theory that is correct (to memorize: tonic after second inversion of the sub-dominant, the root of which is the root of the tonic). Again, never mind the above. Thank you for making me work! In any case: "nice pick! Much more! Many more falls, I wish you.
Thank you! I hope you're doing well and a Merry christmas! It is a lovely song and I agree. He truly had some great craft with his music. Have a lovely day!
