This was without a doubt the most beautiful racing i have ever seen.
No ABS no traction control no anti wheelie no CPU etc, just good old fashioned racing at it's best, loved it

Agreed with Timothy Arnold. Great race and thanks for posting the full video, I was there, but it's great to see the bits I missed and remember the bits I didn't!
I think maybe the full fairing of the Manx gave it an edge on the fast sections? but my, my how close was that? More enjoyable, entertaining and exciting than a 100 f1 car races!!!
Would have liked to see Schwantz on a more competitive machine although he did make up a half dozen places to finish 5th or there abouts.

What a great race! I was glued to the screen!
There's something oddly compelling seeing old machinery being pushed hard. It's what they were made to do. I suppose it's nostalgia, but I don't really feel it. There's a huge sense of fun which doesn't seem to occur in modern racing. That is all too serious. I doubt if these riders were going 10/10ths, but they sure weren't nursing those bikes around. And while it's sad to see someone fall off and the old bike getting damaged [the rider tends to be fine], they are repairable. As an environmentalist, I can't wait to see the internal combustion engine removed from everyday life. But this is different. There should always be room for this. Long may it continue.

Those bikes are scary , look how tall they are .
Modern superbikes like the RSV4 are taller and scarier...apart from the tires!
