Why is the hanger wasted? He can still hang his coat on that hanger on his door. Better yet... Pape Towels, Coat, and then slide then handles of your walmart bag over the swivil part, and now you can fill that bag with a lot of good stuff.. Triple action.

If you cut the first type of hanger into a big J shape it can go into a drill with a chuck and be used to mix paint among other things. Paper towels srill work without a holder....
I've been doing that for years, only I have a magnet on the fridge it hangs from. And I use a thinner longer empty foil roll and slide the paper towel roll on that longer thinner roll making the contraption more rigid.

Actually all you need is one cut on the end and then slip the roll all the way through and that cut end will still be hanging out so just tape it securely 😊
Haven't used paper towels in a couple years and don't intend to. They're extraordinarily wasteful. Kitchen towels do the job. Or sponges if it's a clean up.
Other thing you can do while making your paper towel dispenser...is, you can pick your nose with the hanger hook which is always gratifying. Go deep or go home.

Pro tip! If you use a magnet it will stick to your trailer walls. Personally i hang this from my car rearview so i can wipe in emergencies
And if you put a clear piece of tape on the door jam, where the hanger rubs you will prevent the black streak.

I used a bungee cord on the holes in my trunk lid. Keeps it out of the way and easily accessible plus the tension lets me rip off one at a time.

You need to put a piece of plastic pvc in the paper roll to keep the cardboard from losing its roundness.
