It's hilarious when you realize that the only reason Milano defeated Trif was because he misread Master of Oz. It requires Big Koala + Des Kangaroo. Des Koala was only in his deck because he thought it was a Fusion Material for Master of Oz.

Sadly, this is old school yugioh. Back when it was simple. Now one turn for one person can take up to 10 minutes and even longer.

The first reset wasn’t too bad, the whole gift system was relatively fine and the few changes to some clan mechanics didn’t really ruin anything, but then Overdress came along and fucked everything up big time to the point where I just stopped associating with modern Vanguard.

When I saw Denzel's drafted Deck at 14:07 I was 99% sure he will lose. Also I think it didn't really matter if he got Time Wizard's effect off and manage to blow up Sam's field. Sam is likely to come back the next turn and take the field back slowly.
Where is this draft list? I want to see it, did they just let him out it in for the memes?

You cannot use "My Body as a Shield" against cards whose effects might or might not destroy a monster right away, such as "Earthshaker", "Barrel Dragon", "Acid Trap Hole", or "Time Wizard".
But time wizard will destroy a monster regardless

@@RenoTKC This case is different. Think on the example of Barrel Dragon: if you roll 2 tails, his effect of destroying a monster won't activate, you can't even chain Stardust Dragon. The ruling won't apply for that matter
@@To_My_Master yeah i get cards like barrel dragon or dicephoon, but for time wizard i really am not sure. I couldn't find an official ruling on that specific matter either. I understand that if an effect has the possibility to not destroy it's not legal to respond with it, but time wizard will always destroy at least one card immediately when the effect resolves

at 37 years old I quit YuGiOh when pends were created but gotta say, Sam, you have got me back into YuGiOh I love your energy and personality, Currently playing Masterduel, I've binge-watched this entire series and I love it as this is the YuGiOh I remember and love. Also, Shout Out to all the Duel Night Crew... Triff is gonna be the guy to make me love pends instead of me raging at their creation and I cant wait to see all the future sets unfold and learn the cards as they come, As I've got a lot to catch up on and this is helping lol, Hopefully, the series keeps going all the way to current packs so I can understand XYZ, Links, and everything in-between.

I dunno if anyone has already said this but: The official Ruling (at least at the time) goes that you can NOT activate “My Body As A Shield” against “Time Wizard”. It is on the Yu-Gi-Oh wiki.
So the 1st duel should have gone completely different and Time Wizard should have been able to use it’s effect.
steven won vs milano, he didnt take the 1700 dmg from relinquish. relinquish doesnt prevent the owner from getting dmg, it only inflict the same amount to the opponent. before steven lose milano was at 1500 lp left

That's assuming every single play after that would of been the same, given that this happened in the middle of a long duel. Maybe he would of played different because he would of been at 3600 LP.

Is no one gonna mention the plays could have changed after that ? Or the fact he could have made the last warrior and stopped the whole duel until he had trunade to start punching to death because trif couldn't summon so in 2 turns he lost and he did have the ability to summon it.
@@jimthekidd Unlikely for them to have changed, seeing as milano would still be in a leading position up until trif used creature swap, which is where it would have started to matter.
Also last warrior doesn't stop you from setting monsters, which is pmuch all triff did.
There's also likely no way for milano to out his own last warrior, since you can't tribute it to summon either, so making it under level limit is just bad.

After watching 13 episodes of duel night there are a few things that I noticed. Triff loves using cards that stall like area limit B. Moleño likes playing with relinquished that has the ability to suck up monsters. Denzel claims that he is the best duelist in canada, but lost in the first round, and Sam always uses DM staple cards like pot of greed, change of heart, snatch steal so on, and so forth.

It doesn't have a chance at missing. My Body doesn't care who's side of the field it is, and Time Wizard will destroy one side of the field no matter the result. This was explained.

You can only My Body or Stardust against cards that might destroy based off an immediate effect (coin toss, dice roll etc). Even if both of Time Wizards effects destroy, it still can’t be activated
to clarify, the coin toss is the effect, not the outcome of the toss.

Its weird because stardust dragon can negate time wizard. Looking up old rulings yea my body cant negate effects that dont destroy monsters right away like time wizard, jigen bakudan and limiter removal.
@@owesyoumoney3912 stardust can negate it because it can work on destruction effect on both field. You technically can protect your opponent monster with stardust while my body only protect your field.
First time watcher here, I used to enjoy playing Yu-Gi-Oh! and watching y’all play made me want to play and I hope to see more episodes of duel night every other Friday 🔥💯
Milano’s deck idea stuck with me! I really enjoyed myself seeing him and Triff battling so hard for another shot at the title. I’m putting together his deck for sure.
*Spoilers for the video*
As soon as I saw Sam's decklist, I had a feeling he'd take it easily. He basically got to draft a meta Goat format deck with a splash of Horus fun (which honestly synergizes perfectly with stuff like the Scapegoat/Recruiter+Creature Swap combo and with Jinzo also locking out traps).
The only one I thought could contend with Sam's deck was Trif and that would come down to who could get their setup first. Milano's deck gets abused by snatch cards and stall tactics (and he wanted to go 2nd to try for the FTK, which gave Sam a chance to set up from turn 1), and Denzel's was a brick fest. Trif's stall options were perfect counters to Sam's because all of them stop Horus from getting going (except Limit Area for Lv6) and Trif also had Swaps to strike back at Sam.
Trif vs Sam would've been a super interesting duel, but Trif got matched vs the absolute worst matchup for him with Milano able to wall him with vanilla beaters that ArmDrags couldn't punch over. He did have a teched Skull Lair but with Trif stalling himself and thus not having the graveyard monsters to fuel it until Milano already had multiple BSD's on the field, it wasn't an option, and then Milano had the triple Koalas, basically bringing the burn to the Mystic Mine player. Honestly, if Trif wanted to run a baby beatdown with Lv3's like what seemed to be his secret strat, he needed either more spot removal (like Smashing Ground, Fissure, Bottomless, even Nobleman of Crossout, which would've aced Milano's random Koalas btw since it banishes all of them) to enable the swarm vs walls or to tech burn of his own to complement his stall with cards like Ceasefire (which I think is criminally underrated by the crew, considering the Set-Pass and recruit heavy nature of this meta).
I really hope master duel has something like this in the future. Dueling with old cards is just different!

I think Trif, Danzel, and Milano have fun banter and trash talk because there is a lightness to it. Sam's always comes off as mean-spirited. And he's a poor winner cause it always comes off so smug. Like for example when Trif trash talks he will follow it with a polite remark or remind his opponent that it's all in good fun. If Sam did more of that I think it wouldn't come off so poor sporty or smug.

Best Duelist content out there just off this video alone. I really learned so much about this card pack and I lived through its release. I was the kid who foolishly tried pyramid of light. That second duel though was so exciting. I mean so many stalls but the punish on no offensive force. Next episode is gonna be a lot of fun. Quality content.

It states that you can't use it against cards whose effects might or might not destroy a monster right away. So you can't use it on Barrel Dragon, Earshaker, Acid Trap Hole and Time Wizard. I mean Denzel was cheating anyways adding Time Wizard into his deck either way lmao. I mean who does he time he is in this episode Bandit Keith?
I just wanted to say great vids guys, and i just wanted to share this, with all the games ive played before and now, i would say this game, this yugioh never seized to amazed me, and from a game of over a decade i guess, its still awesome and it never really disapoints me, i feel like ive played every single yugioh games ever made from ps1 to nintendo to pc and mobile and now in ps4. And the best thing is its always fun, addictive and free...so great job to u guys for making this tcg a one in a lifetime game
