the older plugs that had those stab in use to have a slot for a narrow screw driver to release the lead . when did they chang that ? from canada so almost all the rules apply across canada . great vid

Unfortunately yes some never models of outlets do not have the release. A selling feature to force the purchase of a new outlet.
