ზღვარი - მუსიკალური ოკეანე (2006)

Zgvari - Musical Ocean.
Zgvari (Georgian for "the limit") was one of the most original and controversial Georgian rock bands. Born as multidisciplinary creative collective, Zgvari's art focused on poetry and music. Not everybody in the band being professional musician, there was a big difference between band members performing skills, that showed itself on earlier albums. But throughout the years band grew more accomplished and on their 4th album "Poezia" (Georgian for "poetry") they presented their own interpretation of dark, gloomy, poetic hard-rock, where beautiful lyrical passages alternated with nasty riffing outbursts. Bands one interesting feature is that they almost completely omit the bass, and it gives their sound quite a bit of emptiness.
