Awesome thank you! We have lots of stuff coming, a bunch of basics like opening and closing videos but will be sprinkling in camp trips, cooking, fishing etc. Stay tuned!
According to 23Zero -The Walkabout™ Annex is available in Short (62 Inch)mounting height - I'm building a custom bed rack to my tent and annex, but in your experience I should only build the platform height to 58"? If so, do you know the shortest height that the tall annex would work at? Appreciate the feedback and the videos!
You could get away with 60” and a short. Can’t find exact specs but i found the tailgate open is 32” from the ground and the bed walls are 18” putting the rails from the ground at 50”. Do you have a lift? Bigger tires? If so how high are the rails now? Are you trying to do a mid-height rack instead of cab-height?
@@Spiritof1876 Thanks for the reply. I do have a lift making my bed walls 55" high. I am having a custom mid-height rack made and wanted to provide them with the exact height needed for the short annex. 23Zero's description for the short annex said they are made for a 62" mounting height, but in your video I believe you said not to go over 58".
I would go 58-60. It’s also going to be slightly different every time because of the terrain. It would take a campsite with 2 perfectly flat parking spaces next to each other for it to come down to an inch. If that side is lower and you park on a 4in rock to level the truck out you’ve changed that end of the tent 4ft out greatly. Do you air down? That could be 1-2”... Are you measuring it loaded? Do you take the same gear every time? Sorry I’m just hesitant to give too much advice here because without actually testing everything and seeing it I’m just not positive. If it were me I’d want some to spare in case the site slopes down slightly on that side/I have less weight etc which is why we cut their recommendation by 4”.
Actually I think you’re being a bit too conservative with the “no more than 58” statement. About 4” of that black floor is *supposed* to stand up and form a “bathtub”. I believe you would be fine up to around 65” but terrain, loading, etc. will make a difference.
I’ve been trying to find a video on how to get in and out of an RTT. Finally some one shows it. Thank you
Great channel and content. I'm a new subscriber.

Do you guys have a “how to put away” for this annex?
Watch the video in reverse
