"bootlickers?" In all events, these Black Americans are OF NO CONSEQUENCE OR SIGNIFICANCE - EVEN IN THEIR OWN SO-CALLED NATION - WHATSOEVER. Hell, they're NOT EVEN ALLOWED TO BE FULL AMERICAN CITIZENS, WHICH IS WHY WHITE POLICEMEN KEEP SHOOTING THEM WITH THEIR "HANDS UP!". They're merely A VISIBLE MINORITY LIVING AMONGST OTHER MINORITIES IN THE U.S.A. PERIOD. And in any case, MEXICANS HAVE FAR SURPASSED BLACK AMERICANS AS THE MOST IMPORTANT VISIBLE MINORITY GROUP IN AMERICA.

@ Theodory Thobius, each to his own. I will not dismiss your comment the way you dismissed mine. Your comments are valid. However, I am NOT LYING as you insinuate. I wrote from experience. Could be an isolated incident, but true all the same. I even sought clarification from a very good Tanzanian friend - the response: Well, it's because many Tanzanians think Kenyans have a very condescending attitude towards Tanzanians, so they react that way. By the way are you aware of the Tanzanian tour vans that operate freely in Kenya, even right from the international airport in Nairobi? Kenyan tour operators do NOT enjoy the same access in Tanzania. Stress for them begins right at the border - FACT.
There's several other incidents that I will not mention here. I have traveled all over east Africa and my experiences could well form a good memoir of the region.

Another way to change the culture:
Evaluate your own biases, daily. Are their things you do (at work, amongst some circle of friends, to your significant other, to your neighbourhood acquaintances, etc) which some would consider "justified/normal lies"?
Can you consider limiting/stopping them (even if it mens you'll not get as much success/reward)?

I went to Kenya this same year on Oct.2 and the way they treated me at the airport was so humiliating. That day I said these people must have some kind of problem with us (Ethiopians). Am Zambian, Zambia is the most peaceful and welcoming country on the continent of Africa. When Zimbabwe was ticking, Zambians were treated like flies in Zimbabwe, we were treated horribly, the same Zambians who fought for the independence of Zimbabwe, It was a time when so called "Lion" Mugabe was still in bed with Britain. Whenever a Zambian crossed over to Zimbabwe they took very little time there to avoid being mistreated, whilst white people were treated like Kings. When Zimbabwe fell apart guess where Zimbabweans went to seek refuge? Zambia, and they were treated with kindness and respect, Zambians were taking in people they didn't know out of sympathy, people who once mistreated them, so please stop misleading people, Zimbabwe is no better than Kenya, its all the same if not worse!!!

How can l visit one hotel in a country and then base the whole country on the behaviour of the staff from that one hotel? How can l make conclusions about the citizens of a country after only visiting and staying in that country for one week? How long was this guy in Kenya it seems to me less than 2 weeks. Is that enough to rant about that he now knows Kenya. His conclusions from one hotel were not tested in a second or third hotel. Doesn't that mean to you that it's a BIASED RANT from him? As much as the Kenyan police are bad he still needs to give us episodes of more encounters with the policemen to give us an accurate account of what Kenya truly is. Whatever he went through was a bad experience no doubt but did it should face a broader test from which we can draw up a firmer conclusion.SAD🤔🤔🤔

😂😂😂😂 welcome to the beautocracy that is Kenya. Kenya is a beautiful place Wode but as a visitor you must know where to go and who to interact with. And when you come to Kenya stop holding your African card high up for everyone to see! You will only be taken advantage of! This includes your Chinese visa as well! The more higher ranking the visa is the more advantage you will be taken of! What you saw as respect after flashing your Chinese visa was ground for you to be taken advantage of! Foreigners lose their lives over this so be careful next time! Avoid police at all cost and finish any differences quickly! Do not reason or argue with police in Kenya. The less they know the better. Just pay them off or ask them to take you to court and deal with a judge as it necessitates! Stop taking rides in police cars and stop taking company with police! People are dying daily over police! It is what it is! About whites getting you pulled off a table, that’s a new one and a very excluded event if it happened! Kenyans frown upon such! Drop the name of the hotel here we will check it out! The best way to enjoy Nairobi; blend in, avoid fights and misunderstandings, before you decide to do anything ask what are laws and you will be fine. Do not let few isolated issues put you down. Keep touring Africa, it’s an amazing place.

I liked Kenya and I didn't only stay in nice areas. I also noticed this thing that some people treat you "special" when you are white. I am white and even I found it ridiculous when we went to a supermarket I got checked less intense then my black fellows. Also when we went inside a hotel. The opened all doors of the car where black people where sitting, and my door they kept closed. That doesn't bring any security. If you check whites like they can't be dangerous. Probably a lot of people outside of the toursitsy areas also were just interested in me, because a lot of people looked at me ;). But I will come back to Africa, I feel a deep connection to that place. It's the birthplace of us humans.
